Kagome stepped out and didn't bother look seek a reaction from him, she went to the window and tried to call her mother again, it was still down.
"No radio?" She asked,
If she had been looking at him, she would have taken note of his sight on her legs, his shirt hit mid thigh on her.
Sesshomaru looking around till he found a small radio and turned it on "We have confirmed, please say inside and on higher ground, the roof if you have to, this is not a drill!" The heard the man say. Kagome tired to see if anyone was running around below, but they were 27 floors up and the rain was not helping. She started to bite her finger nail "What about Inuaysha and they baby?"
"I assure my father would have taken care of that"
She looked back, and wished she had not, he was shirtless, she turned back around"
Then all the sudden the building shook, the palms of her hand met with cold glass and she gasped. Sesshoamaru dashed over and grabbed her hips to keep her steady "What is that!" She yelled,
"The wave has met with land"
"Oh my God!"
She didn't think it would be that bad! But before she knew it, she could see lots of water rushing down the street "Oh no" Her heart was breaking, she knew people would die.
"Do not" He could feel her pain,
The building stopped shaking and he slowly released her,
"We have to go!"
"It's not safe yet miko"
She tired to call again. "Sesshomaru I cant just hide here and do nothing!"
"You cant leave wearing nothing but my shirt miko"
She blushed "Oh"
"The streets are full, power is out, it is storming, your clothing is wet and yet you want rush out to save the world?"
"Better then sitting here with you!" She poked him,
He looked at her finger but before he could respond his phone rang, he looked at it with gloom on his face "It's my mother"
"I am not here Sesshoamru!"
"Mother" He answered,
"Sesshomaru, where are you"
"Penthouse"
"And why are you there and not with Zariya?"
"I was working when the storm hit, the woman can take care of herself mother"
"Do not speak in that tone to me Sesshomaru"
"Is that all mother?"
"Is Kagome with you?"
Sesshomaru rose an eyebrow rose and he looked at Kagome "Indeed"
"Surpised that I know that? Is she the work you speak of?"
"Are you asking if I am bedding the miko?"
Kagome's jaw dropped "No wait a damn-
He held his hand up "Sesshomaru! enough, hand over the phone"
"Hold mother"
He handed Kagome the phone, she snatched it "I would not sleep with him if he paid me!"
"Out spoken as ever I see"
"I was signing a lease, tell his bride to be she has nothing to worry about"
Sesshomaru mother laughed "Trust me child, Sesshomaru wanted no part in this"
"Why tell me?"
"What are you wearing miko?"
"What, why?"
"What a tease you are little miko, tell me, is my son not good enough for you? His father all but planned your wedding you know"
"To Inyasha"
She laughed again "My girl, me and you need to have tea and talk, and Kagome"
"Yes?"
"Rememeber my son is demon, full demon, not a half breed, it is to bad Inuyasha mother is dead, she would have been a great help to you, perhaps I will pass on her diary to you"
She was speechless for a moment "I am not here for your son"
Sesshomaru mother hung up on her.
"Your mother is crazy"
"Indeed"
"Do you know what she said?"
"I heard"
"Did you know?"
"I suspected"
"You suspected!?"
"Yes"

"High school"
"High school" She said slowly "You knew your father wanted us to be together since HIGH SHCOOL!"
"Hn" He said calm
She walked back on forth, the lights came back on "What did you say!" She yelled,
"Nothing"
"All those times you teased me, annoyed me, all those arguments!"
"There were not many miko"
She turned to him "You loved to argue with me in high school, then and oh my God even when I started working with you!"
She as mad, mad as hell,
"When was anyone going to tell me?!"
"It was of no concern miko, you showed no response to me till work"
She narrowed her eye "How where you ok with this, so that whole time I worked with you, in the back of your head you knew, thought, I, we, us?"
He smirked "I wondered miko, what took you so long, that fact that you did not bend to my will like most women"
"What does that have to do with anything"

"This is not a hunt"
He smiled and walked slowly up to her till her was leaning back a bit, him looking down at her "I am a demon, I live to hunt, I hunt my food, I hunt my foe and I even hunt my thrills, but most important of all miko, we hunt our mates, we do not just fall in love, what a silly notation, no, we pick our prize early, learn them, tease them, play with them if you will and then, when the times is right, we show our dominance, and go in for the kill, but when our pray does not play nice or respond to the hunt, we forfeit and marry arranged, but see miko, I am not normal demon, I had no need to try, and you had no idea of the game we played, I was not chasing you, you gave me no reason to, you wanted to no part in the hunt"
He grabbed her hair and pulled her neck back "Tell me, did you think I would come after you, when you though I though you where going to marry that human boy"
She could not lie "Maybe"
"Did you want me to hunt you?"
"Sounds like you already were"
"Perhaps a little in high school, but you ignored me"
"WAIT A SECOND, you mean to tell me you were flirting with me in high school!"
He released her,
"For someone who group up with demons and who though you would marry a stupid half breed you would think you would have learned something"
She pushed him away "I didn't think you wanted anyone, much less me"
"I was unsure if I even wanted you"
That hurt "And now?"
"I am to marry another"
Just then her phone rang and her heart sank.
