"Mom? are you ok, oh thank God!, yes I'm fine, I was with Sesshomaru signing my lease, I am on my way back now, ok bye bye"
Just then his phone rang, it was his father "Hn father?"
"Are you two ok"
"Yes, you knew this was coming didn't you?"
"Not the wave, is Kagome ok?"
"Mad as hell!" She yelled,
"She wishes to go home, I will see you at dinner father"
As he hung up her phone rang again "Inuaysha? are you ok, Kikyo, the baby?"
"Yeah yeah fine, where are you? Miroku and Sango are here to"
"I was signing my lease"
"You where with my brother!"
"With"
"Right now?"
"Yes"
"Does his bitch know that?"
"I duno, does it matter? I am headed to moms, I going to see if anyone needs help"
"Ok, be safe"
"Ok bye"
Kagome went back to the bathroom and grabbed the sleep pants and her clothes "I need to go home"
Sesshomaru called down to see what the roads were like "We can not drive, flying is our only way"
"You mean you fly?"
"No I mean the helicopter"
"Oh"
By time they got to the pad on top of the building it was landing and he helped her up, it took no time at all to reach her mothers and they landed, and over the radio she thank him "I guess ill see you around" Came her voice in his ear phones"
"Indeed"
She pulled hers off grabbed her stuff, but before leave, turned and quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek "I guess you deserve that, for trying, plus you stole my first one and I'm willing to bet no one has kissed you like that"
He just blinked at her as she jumped off the helicopter. She didn't watch as he lifted off, shock on his face.
Luckily the damage was not to bad, only a few lives where lost, some house did get water damage but in hall it was no as bad it seemed. Kagome would have to go back soon to graduate, but before she did she wanted a word with one, Inutasio!
It was a few days later she came to his office, demanding him, which he gladly accepted her.
"What can I do for you my dear, ready for that vacation I owe you?"
"You are in big trouble mister!"
"Am I?"
"Don't play dumb with me! This whole time you wanted me and Sesshomaru together?"
"From the first time you teased him, yes"
"I teased him!?"
"You where very small, and he tolerated you"
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"I may have wanted it, but Sesshomaru picked you"
"Your loosing it in you old age"
"Kagome demons are very picky, I didn't find my mate till after I was arranged"
"Sesshomaru has never, not once shown any interested in me, hell I didn't even think he liked women"
"He cant stand them, but you, you he messed with, tolerated"
"So that means he likes me, no thank you, I don't want to be tolerated"
"I think he took a real liking you to in high school"

"Kagome, I told you, be yourself, you stopped being yourself, even now, you defensive"
"Because I'm mad, confused, I was trying hard just to be that girl he knew and not some freak"
"But you didn't have to try, and that was your mistake, he wanted your real thoughts"

"My dear, you know how he is, and yes, when he came home, your heart skipped a beat, we all felt it"
She swallowed,
"Do you still like him?"
"It does not matter now, how did he end up with her?"
"Same way as I ended up with his mother, he needs a son, he could not find a mate, so his mother and I found him one"
Kagome sat down "Oh"
"Kagome we would never force you"
"It's for the best I guess, she is prefect for him, I highly doubt Sesshomaru really ever took a liking to me more then he just wanted to please his father, we would not go very well together"
She got up to leave,
"Kagome, here"
He handed her a book "His mother sent this for you, its my mates writings, I'm not allowed to read it so do be sure to tell me about it"
"You want me to have it?"
"Indeed"
She smiled, hugged him and left.
"After all, it was supposed to go to you, your a human who needs to catch a demon" He smiled and said to himself.
That night after a big meal and warm shower Kagome sat in her old bed and pulled out the book and her phone. She wanted to text him, tell him she was leaving, but what reason would she have? Be yourself rang in her head, so she made the message, it's what she would have done before all this.
''I will be leaving in three days, got to go back and graduate, I know you guys can't all be there, but Ill be back soon to open my shop!'' She sent it in a group text, including Sesshomaru.
He was in the middle of late work when it came in, he sighed, he was still in arms about her little stolen kiss. It confused him, was she flirting or giving up?
