Okay, so some readers have commented and are mostly in favor of a separate version of the new story. One person noted that the fanfic mods might take down the notes and future readers could be confused by the change in pace. So I'm going to upload the new story under A Tale of Balance: Adventures of the Merchant of Death, and continue from there. I hope you all will like the direction I'm taking this!
