"What? The Kid Pirates? That brat who sunk one of our ships?!" Big Mom calls out. Meanwhile the rest of the Charlotte Family present, the rest of the Big Mom Pirates, and Bege and his group rise out of their seats and prepare for her next order. The anger in her face momentarily subsides as she addresses her guests.
"Please remain calm and relax, we shall handle this." She says kindly before her anger returns. She stomps out of the room while all her present children head outside alongside the rest of Big Mom's crew and Bege's Firetank Pirates behind her. Once they have left, Luffy gulps down his tea and seems to lose interest. Buggy grabs Luffy's face and turns it toward him.
"Luffy! Do you know what this means?!" Buggy asks with eager eyes.
"Uh…I can eat off their plates now?" He answers, (possibly) knowing better.
"No, you idiot! This is our chance! If we can take down Kid without their help, and without them having to put their crew in any danger, Big Mom will see how valuable we can be to her!" Buggy explains, shaking Luffy by the collar the whole time.
"But I don't wanna! We'll have to work for her!" Luffy says, prompting Buggy to smack him back and forth across the face comically and in time with his further explanation.
"We. Don't. Have. To. Be. Her. Un-der-lings! If we're useful to her, she'll just want us around, we can do what we want and she'll help us! We'll just have to do her favors once in a while, no big deal! Besides, weren't you itching to get into a fight just last week?!" Buggy shouts, and Luffy finally gets it.
"Oh, I get it! Okay, let's go!" Luffy shouts, jumping up out of his seat and bolting out the door. After a short stunned silence on how easily he completely flipped Luffy's attitude (and regretting not doing so earlier), Buggy starts chasing after him. When the two arrive outside the castle, a storm has rolled in, and it is raining hard, but the rain is strange. Luffy stops and catches some rain in his mouth, then swallows it.
"Syrup? The rain is made of syrup! Cool! Ah, but I can't get distracted by that now! I gotta beat Big Mom to the punch!" Luffy says as Buggy finally catches up to him and starts panting. All of a sudden, Luffy speeds off again and Buggy lets out a loud groan before picking up and trailing behind. Meanwhile, Big Mom and her group have arrived at the shore and are preparing to launch an attack and/or take defensive measures. The area is already on fire and it is clear that the Kid Pirates have been attacking for a while. Their ship is not far off from the coast, and they have a good sized group of combatants ready to go to war.
"That little brat! Ruining my Tea Party and embarrassing me in front of my guests…" Big Mom utters under her breath, absolutely furious.
"Mama! Let me take 'em! I'll sink their ship no problem!" The son with the rolled up purple hair says, a sadistic grin on his face and his tongue sticking out. Before anyone else can say anything, someone starts calling out from behind.
"Wait! Wait!" A familiar, high voice calls out. Everyone turns around and sees Luffy and Buggy running as hard as they can toward the shoreline.
"Straw Hat?.!" Big Mom calls out as he finally arrives at the shore. He puts his head down to pant a bit before he looks back up at her with his eyes closed and that assuring smile he was famous for amongst those who know him.
"I got this, so don't worry, okay?" Luffy says. They all seem a bit surprised at this at first, even Big Mom looks a bit shocked, but her face softens and she begins to laugh.
"Ma-ma-ma-ma-hahahaha! Okay Straw Hat, if you wish to deal with this, then be my guest! But if you need any support, my family is at your disposal!" She says, giving Luffy the go-ahead.
"Thanks! But I can handle it!" Luffy says confidently as he strides past the Big Mom Pirates and stands at the shore while Buggy continues to just pant and try to build his stamina back up behind the group.
"Can he handle himself?" The tallest, Longleg daughter asks Buggy, who, in between breaths, answers her.
"Yeah…he'll…be…fine." Buggy says, panting. Luffy starts to drip with a goopy substance that melts the ground it lands on and he cracks his knuckles with a smile,
"I've been wanting to really blow off some steam for a while now, so this all works out! Now I just have to kick your asses! Venom-Venom…Pistol!" Luffy calls out, winding back and firing his arm off in a powerful punch. Once the punch is thrown, it flies off of his arm in a massive pillar of purple gunk that hits the Kid Pirates' ship all the way from the shore. As soon as the attack connects with the ship, it splashes into a miniature tidal wave that drenches the ship in the ooze. A large number of pirates are forced to abandon ship as they are covered in the stuff, and the ship begins to deteriorate quickly. All of a sudden, the damaged Kid Pirates' ship begins firing cannonballs at the island, but Luffy already has a plan for this.
"Venom-Venom…Hydra!" Luffy shouts, as his body erupts like a volcano and incases in poison, scattering everywhere. Surrounded by poison, three dragon heads rise from out of him, each screeching as they stare forward with their red eyes. Many of the people watching are surprised, shocked even, but Big Mom is delighted by the display, laughing about it. The Hydra catches all the cannonballs in it's mouthes and holds them.
"Okay, let's send it all back with the Jetstream!" Luffy calls out, and all three heads shoot out massive pillars of poison littered with the live cannonballs right back at the Kid Pirates' ship. The cannonballs explode as soon as they hit the deck, and the poison's flammability amplifies the destruction until the ship is reduced only to large floating chunks of wood. The Hydras lower and the poison they are made of along with that incasing him seem to reenter Luffy, and he is more or less back to normal. Suddenly, large chunks of metal appear, floating just over the sea and creating a straight path to the island from the wreckage. Two figures are running down it at full speed, one buff with a blue and white mask, and one skinnier with wild red hair.
"STRAW HAT!" The red haired man shouts as the metal path behind begins to float up and collected around the stub of what clearly once was an arm.
"Oh! Kid! Sorry about this!" Luffy says with a smile as he rears his hand back again.
"Venom-Venom…Pistol!" He shouts as he fires the attack again straight down the line Kid and the helmeted man are running down. Two blades attached to the helmeted man's arms start to spin rapidly as he holds his arms out and it divides the stream of poison aimed at them. The now two streams go straight into the sea.
"Oh, you're Killer, right? Kid's crew mate?" Luffy says smiling with his eyes closed as Killer rushes up to him and puts his arm blades to Luffy's throat, seemingly decapitating him. When Luffy's head lands, it explodes into a glob of poison as Luffy's body gets into a fighting stance.
"Shit! That 'head' was made of poison, wasn't it?! It was a fake!" Killer says as "Luffy's" fist coats in Armament Haki and delivers a hard blow into Killer's stomach. Killer's arm blades retract as he falls to his knees, clutching his stomach and "Luffy's" head seems to reappear atop his shoulders from inside his shirt (in a way reminiscent of a turtle within it's shell).
"That's right! I ate the Venom-Venom Fruit, I'm a Poison Man!" "Luffy" says, quite proud of himself.
"KILLER!" Kid calls out, having lagged behind because of how heavy his metal "arm" had become.
"EAT THIS! GO TO HELL, STRAW HAT!" Kid shouts as he encompasses his "arm" in Haki and send it hurdling toward "Luffy." During the impact, "Luffy's" upper body explodes into poison globs and lands all over the ground.
"WHAT?!" Kid shouts as sees "Luffy's" foot is incased in Armament Haki and kicks Kid in the jaw. The legs, with one still coated in Haki, starts to kick at incredible speed while Luffy's voice echoes from behind.
"Ha! You got tricked by my Venom-Venom Clone! Now, Venom-Venom…Armament Hardening…Stamp Gatling!" Luffy's voice echoes as the disembodied leg hits Kid over and over and over again before landing a powerful finishing kick, launching Kid over the sea.
"Shit! Repel!" Kid shouts, firing his "arm" into the sea and using it as a platform to land on, then levitates it and himself into the air. Luffy whistles, clearly impressed as he walks out from where he had hidden himself amongst a glob of poison beside where his double was standing after bringing out his Hydra.
"Look out, Straw Hat.!" The tallest son of Big Mom's, wearing a massive, ragged scarf covering his mouth and leather gear, calls out to warn Luffy.
"Huh?" Luffy says as he turns to look at him, not seeing what the man was trying to warn him about, Killer with Haki infused arm blades swinging wildly. At first, without even looking, Luffy dodges Killer's attacks, but eventually has to backflip and put some distance between them. When Luffy looks back to Killer, Kid has joined him on shore and reattaches his "arm" to the socket.
"You're gonna have to try harder! I knew when you were gonna attack with my Observation Haki!" Luffy says, quite proud of himself once, admittedly.
"Luffy! Just finish it up already!" Buggy calls out, hoping Luffy picks up his cue to use that and just bring them both down already.
"STRAW HAT!" Kid calls out as Kid and Killer both charge at him, their weapons infused with Haki and ready to kill. As they charge him, Luffy focuses his energy, and remembers what Rayleigh had taught him for those two years they spent training. His face goes cold stone serious as his eyes harden. A massive shockwave bursts forth from Luffy that renders Kid and Killer unconscious immediately, along with most of the low ranking members of the Big Mom Pirates and Buggy (accidentally). Those it does not knock out are left in varying degrees of shock and of consciousness. Even Big Mom herself is stunned, though she and the tallest, crimson haired son hold on to consciousness the tightest.
"That was…" Galette starts.
"Conquerer's Haki.!" The tallest son says in a serious voice, trying to hide his surprise. As Kid and Killer fall to the ground, Big Mom takes action.
"Restrain them! Put them in the dungeon, and we shall decide what to do with them later!" She says, and three identical sons with pegs on their hairless heads retrieve both of them and leave with Mont-d'Or and a few other Charlotte Family members.
"Well, that bridge with Kid is burned, oh well. He didn't like me much anyway, we probably would have ended up fighting eventually, anyway." Luffy says as he watches the group carry them off to the "brig" and goes to pick up the unconscious Buggy.
A/N: With Kid defeated, the Tea Party can resume, and what will Big Mom think of the Straw-Clown Alliance now that Luffy has shown off his power? Find out next time! So, with that out of the way, I want to let everyone know that I will soon be laying a sort of "upload schedule" (that I have not actually decided on yet), but will not be implementing it until after posting chapter 9. My schedule will be picking up quite a bit starting next week, so I won't be able to upload as frequently as I have thus far. And, as a matter of fact, Chapters 1 through 9 are more of "world building" chapters anyway, mostly setting up the narrative. With that being said, I intend to have all the way through Chapter 9 up before Monday and before focusing on a schedule, so look forward to that. Don't forget to Follow, Favorite, and Review!
