A/N; Hello Again!

After some tense fighting and a new bond formed, it is time for Luffy and company to take it a bit slower, a nice break from the emotional carnival ride they have all been on as well. But will it all be so peaceful, or is a confrontation from an unexpected source on the rise? Or is it actually as benign as family disputes tend to be? Find out now!

The next day, Luffy wakes up to find Usopp wondering around the halls of the castle. As Luffy comes out of his room, Usopp sees him.

"Oh, Luffy! Hey man!" Usopp says as he walks over to his Captain.

"Hey Usopp! What're you doing out here?" Luffy asks. Usopp sighs, shaking his head before answering,

"Oh, well I just had to get out of the room for a while. Zoro and Sanji have been arguing every free moment since we got here! I don't know who's idea it was to put them in a room together. I'm getting sick of playing peacekeeper, but they're probably gonna destroy the whole castle at this rate!" Usopp explains, sighing again before adding one more thing,

"Anyway, I was gonna go hang out on the Poison Moon and maybe sail around the island. Wanna come with me?" He asks. Luffy chuckles as Chopper wakes up and joins the conversation.

"Yeah, sound's fun!" Luffy answers as he sees Chopper at his feet.

"You wanna come with us too, Chopper?" Luffy asks, and he agrees.

The "Idiot Trio," as they are lovingly referred to, make their way to where the Poison Moon is docked, and find someone is already on the ship.

"Oh? OW! What are you guys doin' down there?" The blue haired cyborg says, looking down from the railing at the trio.

"Franky! What are you doing up there? Repairs as usual?" Usopp asks.

"OW! You know it! The work of the Straw Hat's SUPER shipwright is never done!" Franky calls out with pride, his floral shirt flapping in the wind created by his sudden pose. The trio boards the ship to meet with Franky as they see he is working on the mast. The four talk while Franky works, until they hear something faintly below deck.

"Hm? What's that?" Franky asks as the other three listen closer to identify the sound.

"I hear it, it's a ringing noise…" Chopper points out, his animal hearing allowing him to make it out easier and quicker then the rest. They follow it downstairs as it starts to get louder. They finally track it to the Communications Room, where one of the Transponder Snails, the biggest one in the room with an "S H D" symbol and a straw hat atop it's shell, is ringing.

"It was just one of the Snails." Usopp notes as Luffy goes over to pick it up.

"Hello? This is Monkey D. Luffy. I'm gonna be King of the Pirates." Luffy answers with what has become his signature greeting.

"LUFFY! WHAT'S THIS I'M HEARING ABOUT YOU GETTING MARRIED, HUH?!" An angry voice calls out from the other side of the Snail, it's expression mimicking the furious man on the other end.

"Oh, hey Ace!" Luffy says with an excited smile and a disposition of not caring how angry his brother sounds.

"DON'T 'hey Ace' ME! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WE'RE GETTING MARRIED?! WHY DID I HAVE TO FIND OUT BY HAVING AN INVITATION DELIVERED TO ME, YOUR OWN BROTHER?!" Ace shouts, but Luffy and the others can hear snickering in the background on Ace's side. They did not know it, but the entire Whitebeard Pirate crew (or what is left of them) were listening in on the call. After constantly hearing about Ace's famous little brother ever since his first bounty went public over two years ago, and his incredible performance at Marineford during the Paramount War, he was made into an honorary brother of all of theirs. Because of this, they kept tabs and informed each other on his exploits because they were admittedly big fans of his now, and not because Ace would have done it whether they wanted to or not. Because of this, they wanted to get the dirt on the Wedding, especially since they did not really want to pack into an Emperor's ceremony with the bad blood that likely still persisted (even if they probably were not considered a "threat" to Big Mom anymore).

"Sorry, Ace! It was all pretty sudden! I didn't even want to get engaged, but now it's okay!" Luffy says, getting into the argument.

"THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER, LUFFY! You should've let me know as soon as you got engaged! You have my number, why didn't you call?!" Ace asks.

"I was worried about you and your crew! The Old Man and Big Mom were enemies, right? I was worried about what might happen if they thought I was trying to contact you guys, but I figured they'd let you come to the Wedding since you're my brother!" Luffy shouts back at Ace.

"Hey, don't make your brother upset, Ace. He's probably nervous enough if he's gettin' hitched-yoi!" A voice in the background of Ace's side of the call, followed by laughter.

"Yeah Ace, He's got enough problems! Besides, it sound like your just jealous your little bro got married before you!" Another voice calls out, causing another roar of laughter.

"SHUT UP, JOZU!" Ace shouts at the person in the background before returning his attention to the phone.

"Luffy, you shouldn't have to worry about me, that's my job. I appreciate your concern, but being told by a lion in a pink suit that I had to come with him to attend my own brother's wedding is totally not cool!" Ace explains, much less steamed then before.

"Sorry, jeez! It's been a busy couple of days, you know.! And I wasn't sure if I was actually gonna go through with it until two days ago.! Besides, after you got caught two years ago, I was worried something bad might happen to you again! I wanted to be careful!" Luffy explains. Ace sighs, he simply cannot argue with that, so he sighs instead.

"Whatever, I guess that's fair. I suppose I can't really be mad, but you should have more faith in your brother. Hell, at least you invited me. Who else did you invite, anyway?" Ace asks.

"I invited Dadan and the boys." Luffy offers.

"Oh! It's been a long time since I saw them.! Do you think she'll actually come?" Ace wonders.

"I bet, if Big Mom's crew is coming to get her, I'm sure she'll just go with it! Shishishishi!" Luffy laughs. Ace laughs with him.

"Well, okay, I'll look forward to meeting your new wife. Oh, and should I bring a guest? The invitation says I can bring a guest." Ace replies.

"What about that Pineapple Guy?" Luffy suggests. A roar of laughter erupts in the background, and Ace laughs pretty hysterically, too.

"You mean Marco.?! Hahaha!" Ace laughs.

"Hey, shut up-yoi!" The unidentified voice from earlier calls out, meaning it must be Marco.

"Okay, okay!" Ace says distantly while still laughing accompanied by the sound of someone's hand slapping against bare skin rather hard and likely a bit painfully.

"Alright, I'll see you when we get there tomorrow, Luffy!" Ace says before the Transponder Snail clicks and the call ends. The Straw Hats present are at least glad to hear Ace is doing good, but cannot help but have a hard time taking a conversation like that all too seriously knowing the brothers.

A/N: A family moment can appear at any time, such is the beauty of family. This chapter is admittedly a bit filler-y, at least at the beginning, but I wanted to give Usopp and Franky some spotlight since they've had basically zero presence so far in the story. Also, it pretty much is just some exposition through Ace and Luffy's conversation, but I suppose that makes it important after all. Oh well, either way, I hope you all wanted some brotherly stuff, and don't worry, we'll be seeing a bit more of Ace later. Next chapter will be more important, and significantly longer, but may not be for everyone. But while you wait, don't forget to Follow, Favorite, and Review!
