It has been three days since she meet Mark. Risley was begun to underestimate serendipity. She rushed into things so much too quick and this was the way of letting the universe show her the way instead of just taking thing by the horns. Risley also knew that things just don't happen overnight. She slowly slides a few papers on across her desk and took a deep sigh. "It would be nice to get out of here for a while," she thought to her self and looked up into the office. Evelyn was walking around chatting with her employees. Risley put her head down and got back to work. She needed to get this done and the best way to do it was just to push through.

Mark knew that he had to make his move today. He has been busy the last few days but knew if he didn't do something today it would all be blown. He looked at his schedule and he was booked solid, but wanted to get away for a little. He had a meeting tonight at 6. 'Maybe after that, but I have no idea where she lives' he thought to himself. 'Don't you believe in serendipity?' Risley's voice ran through his mind. He smiled to himself and received the best idea ever.

"Are you hungry?" Evelyn asked Risley as she stood at the door.

"Yes, I could go for some food... something we can eat while we work. I think I have this almost figured out." Risley was nose deep in paperwork.

"I will drive and I will buy if you just take 30 minutes and go with me to grab food" Evelyn teased, but was trying to teach Risley a lesson she needed to learn.

"Okay okay you got it" she saved her work and started to lock up her computer.

"Risley" a small voice came from behind Evelyn "These are for you," She said and handed Evelyn a huge bouquet of flowers. Every flower of the season and each in full bloom. The smell of flowers filled the office in one rush. All the flowers were placed around two roses that looked to be wrapped around each other. Next to them was a card.

"Thank you, Emma" Evelyn took them from her and placed them on Risley's desk. "You have a look on your face like you have no idea what is happening"

"Um, because I don't," Risley said and Evelyn reached for the card plucking it from the flowers. Risley's eyes just watched her.

"You're my serendipity. I wasn't looking for you. I wasn't expecting you. But I'm very lucky I met you." Evelyn gushed as she read the card out loud "And there is a phone number listed"

"But who is it from?" Risley asked and just hung on her words

"Call the number" Evelyn held the card out and Risley took and re-reading the card a few times flipped it over. "Ris stop questioning it and follow the sign" Risley put her purse and jacket down and picked up the phone and called the number

Mark reached down to his cell phone "Hello, I have been expecting your call"

"Mark?" Risley said almost in shock. Evelyn jumped up and down with excitement. Risley shook her hand at her to stop.

"Yes, I wanted to get back in touch with you, but you are so hard to track down," He said to her as he waved away his staff. "I wanted to reach out to you and see if your free tonight?"

"Um, yeah I can be free," She said almost unsure about her self. Evelyn clasped her hand and stood in silence waiting for Risley.

"Well, I have a dinner meeting at 6 pm, but I can save dessert. I can come pick you up..." Mark head nothing back " my treat" He chuckled a bit.

"Sure, um, is this number your cell phone?" She asked

"Yes, Please feel free to message me your info so that I can pick you up," Mark said to her with a smile that grew from ear to ear

"Deal," Risley said excitedly

"I can not wait to see you again," He said and the hung up.

Evelyn grabbed onto Risley and jumped up and down "About time for you to be treated like a woman. Come let's get lunch"

"I can not get too excited for this yet. I know my luck in this situation" Risley said to her as the two of them started out for lunch. Risley texted Mark her information and put her phone in her purse. Evelyn could not help but gush about the date tonight. Risley was thinking about work and also about the date. She wanted what was blooming between Mark and her to work, but wanted the universes to help since she seems to be messing up on relationships as of lately.

Mark looked down at his watch as Risley crossed his mind. He knew that he had to deal with this meeting, but he had a few minutes and she was the only thing he was thinking about. He pulled out his phone and texted Risley 'I know this sounds so childish, but I can not wait to see you tonight.'

Risley's phone buzzed against the table. She put her pen down and looked at her phone and smiled. She picked up her phone and held it to her chest trying to think of something sweet, but ended up going straight from the heart. 'I hope everything lines up correctly.'

"Ris, I am going to get out of here," Evelyn said and led against the door "I suggest you leave too" she pushed.

"Sounds like a plan" She smiles and took a deep sigh. She grabbed her stuff and locked up her office. The two of them started to walk out of the building.

"Have a good night and Ris" Evelyn stopped her in her tracks "Don't forget to tell me everything... tomorrow" She laughed and got into her car.

Risley got into her car and headed back to her apartment. She slowly started to put her things away and then turned on the radio. She began to start jamming out getting some dinner out and also. She decided a light salad might be the best thing right now. She sat at the bar in her kitchen and ate her salad as she scrolled through her social media on her phone. Social media the downfall of her life just like others in the world she secretly judged herself against others. Risley cleared her dish and washed it out placing it in the dishwasher. She looked at the clock. It was almost 7 pm and she figured she better finds something to wear. She pulled out a pair of Jeggings and a basic tee It looked good together, but nothing over the top. She got her self-cleaned up and new makeup on threw her hair up in a high teased pom-pom ponytail. The music stop and her phone began to ring.

"Hello?" She answer

"Come on outside beautiful" Mark said to her and she ran to the window and looked out.

"I will be right down" She gushed a bit an then hung up. She put on her small heal boots, grabbed her purse and a small jacket. Risley's heart was pounding her chest. She could not believe that this was happening to her. She tried to take several deep breaths to calm her self down as she made her way to her front door. "Good evening," She said with a smile

"Good Evening" Mark smiled back and held the door open for her. Risley slid into the back seat and Mark followed. "Any place you wish to go for shall I surprise you?"

"Surprise," She said with a smile and little chuckle.

"Joe, please take us to the spot," Mark said to the driver and the car started to make its way through the city. "So, how was work?"

"Ah normal... what about you?" She asked and paused "All you said is that you're into politics. So, I don't really know what you do"

" Yes, politics sounds like the correct word for my job right now." Mark chuckled a little bit and Risley smiled enjoying his laugh "Well I have two meetings today and nothing got finalized." He took a big sigh and looked over at Risley. "Exciting day huh?"

"Dreary, but optimistic." She said with a smile and Mark smiled back he liked her to answer it was politics to a T.

The two started to chat about common news items and technology related information. Both of them laughing and enjoying the conversation. The car finally stopped. Joe came around and open the door. Mark got out and then Risley. He placed his hand out for her and she took it. She smiled softly as she looked down at his hand. He walks into the restaurant. Risley looked around amazed at the decor. She has never been to such a high-class restaurant before.

"Top floor table under Calaway," Mark said to the hostess

"Yes Sir, follow me," She said and Mark placed his hand on Risley back to guide her in front of him. She followed the hostess. Mark started to lag behind a little as he could watch Risley walk even tho she was in Jeggings they hugged every curve in all the right places. "Here you go Sir," the hostess said and pointed to a table next to the glass windows.

"Thank you," Mark said and nodded as he quickly pulled out Risley's chair. Risley smiled and sat down and watch Mark walk around the table. He smiled back at her " Nervous yet?"

Risley blushed and looked down at the menu. Mark smiled to himself and looked down at the menu. Risley looked around the restaurant and then noticed at the ceiling was nothing but glass and you could see the star.

"Are you seeing anything you want?" Mark asked

"Mark, did you notice the ceiling?" Risley asked him and he looked up to see her staring at the ceiling. She had a bright smile on her face which made Mark smile too.

"It is very beautiful out," He said to her and gently side his hand to brush against hers.

"Hello, I will be your server tonight. Can I start you off with some drinks?" The server came around and spoke to them. Risley smile and purse her lips together.

"Can you bring a bottle of Pinot Noir?" Mark said and looked at Risley who did not disagree.

"Sure thing, I will be right back," The server said and left.

" I hope you don't mind that I ordered for you"

"Oh no I have no idea what is good here, and I am fascinated by the ceiling" She giggled at him.

"Here we are Sir,"the server said and poured out two glasses and then placed the bottled into the bucket of ice and wrapped towel. "Did we decided on what you would like?"

"Can we have two forks and one of each dessert?" Mark said and Risley looked at him in shock.

"Yes Sir," the server said collected the menus and disappeared

"Mark that is a lot of food"

"Yes well then you don't have to decide." he chuckled a little and took a sip of the wine. Mark started to point out the consultation in the stars to Risley. She smiled and listened to him tell her things that she already knew. Mark and Risley continue to talk and laughing with each other until the dessert came. Risley just looked around the table at all the desserts and had no idea where to start. "Here," Mark said and quickly took a bite of his fork and feed her. She took it off his fork and started to laugh.

"Oh, my your not joking dessert is delicious." Mark smiled at her and shook his head.

The two continue to eat and pick the dessert and table. The two laughed and just naturally played with each other which got attention from the few people in the restaurant. They could not help each other as they laughed and flirted with each other. Mark smile and looked over at Risley as he took a finishing slip of his wine and he knew he was falling for her. He felt this connection and did not want to this night to end. "Come on" He smiles "I better not keep you up too late" He joked and stood up and put out his hand.

She smiled " Yes Daddy" She jokes softly with him with both laughing and she took his hand. He smiles and pulled her into him.

"You have no idea how infectious you are" He whispered to her and she wrapped her arm around his shoulder and bit her lip and smiled at his comment. Mark gently laid his head again her hair softly and took a deep breath of her sent. He smiled and took her hand as he headed out of the restaurant.

Mark looked around as they were getting ready to leave and noticed some of the paparazzi was tipped off that he was here. Mark turned around and whispered to Risley "Ris, don't answer any questions just get into the car. I will be right there, Okay?"

"Yes," She said to him softly and looked up at his deep green eyes. She leaned into him and he pressed into her. She tilted her head up towards him wanting to kiss him in this moment of tension. He gently brushed her hair to the side and it brought her attention back to what was happening. He took her hand and they stepped out into the popping cameras into their faces. Risley did what she was told got into the waiting car door that Joe was holding open. She watches Mark stand in front of the car door, blocking the camera from seeing her as he posed for the cameras for a bit as she could hear the paparazzi knock into the car on the other side. Finally, Mark got into the car and then Joe got into the driver side and off they went.

"Politics?" Risley asked and looked over at Mark who she could tell was taking a deep breath.

"Well, sort of..." He said softly and Risley kept her eyes on him, but nothing more came out. Risley tried not to take a deep breath but almost felt like the night was ruined, by the way, Mark dodge the questions. Mark gently placed his hand on her knee and she smiled and looked over at him.

The car pulled up to her apartment and Joe opened the door. Mark stepped out and then Risley. Risley nodded to Joe to say thank you and then walked towards the steps and slowly made her way to the door. She could hear Mark's walk behind her. She turned around " Thank you for a lovely evening. I really enjoyed your company" she smiled at him.

"As I enjoyed my time with you" He paused "Can I see you again?" He asked as she stopped and looked look up at him.

"I would like that," She said softly to him as she smiled at him. He reached out to her and brushed back her hair once again. Risley leaned into his hand as she enjoyed the fireworks that he gave her. She could not deny the feelings that she has for Mark. She placed her back up against the building as Mark slowly moved in and kissed her softly and gently a few little pecks as Risley slide her hand up against his neck and the kiss became more passionate both of them could not deny the feelings that were flying around them.

It felt like an eternity once they finally parted. Mark smiled and whispered softly "Forever and a day" She smiled at him and bit her lip uncontrollably. She gently opened the door and slide into the lobby of the building and took the elevator up to her apartment. She rushed to the window to find Mark standing on the sidewalk looking up at her with a smile as he waved and entered the car.
