I do not own.
"Six? What are you doing here?" A blond man with a scar over his eye asked him.
"I have orders from White Knight." Sam answered glancing at Six to his side.
"Ah." He nodded going back to his clipboard.
"That's Captain Calan. He's third in command. Regular good ol' boy." Six answered.
Sam gave a small nod to indicate that he heard.
Rex bounded over. "Hey Six! Ready to go?"
When Sam paused a little too long, Six snapped his fingers in front of his face. "Tell him yes."
Sam glared at his host but told Rex yes. Sam, on the other hand, had no idea if he was ready.
"Great, let's go. Hey Calan, what do we have?" Rex asked unfazed.
"Looks like a level 3 EVO in Cleveland." Calan said matter-of-factly.
"Oh, that's easy." Rex scoffed as he bounded into the large airship.
Calan shook his head. "He keeps forgetting that the lower the number the worse they are."
"What?" Sam squeaked.
Calan looked at him surprise. "Excuse me?"
"Stop gawking and get on the ship!" Six ordered Sam.
Sam turned to Six and hissed. "Are you kidding? How am I supposed to take down a level three EVO? I barely got through the other one!"
"Six? You okay?" Calan asked concerned.
"Yeah, great." Sam replied a bit sarcastically.
"Just get on board." Six snapped. "Before we get thrown in the rubber room." Six fervently wished he had the ability to grab him.
Sam reluctantly went aboard and paused. His jaw dropped. He had never seen so much advanced technology before. He vaguely remembered some of his own project's technology but this was certainly impressive.
"Let's go." Six growled. "You're attracting attention!"
"Is that a holoprojector with …" Sam was awed.
"Yes, yes. Now get to the control room otherwise we can't take off." Six urged him to go.
"And how does that make me want to go faster?" Sam asked.
Six glared at him and pointed. Sam sighed and reluctantly walked in the proper direction. When he arrived, Six once again pointed to a spot in front of a massive screen.
Rex bounded over to him. "Geez, Six. You're usually the first here."
"Opening night jitters." Sam answered.
"Huh?" Rex looked at him funny.
"Nothing, Rex. So why don't you run down what we're expected to do." Sam said ignoring the angry looks Six was shooting him.
"Oh right, your memory. We usually go in kick its butt and then leave." Rex said enthusiastically.
"Look Sam, usually I let Rex handle things and only step in if there's a problem." Six said.
"Really?" Sam asked incredulously.
"Yeah, really." Rex answered thinking he was talking to him.
Sam mentally kicked himself for the outburst. He had to be more careful lest he blow his cover.
Suddenly, he felt the floor move from beneath his feet. Without thinking he braced himself. He knew his host's skills were kicking in. He was surprised by his remarkable balance. Watching the monitor he saw that they had lifted off and was moving at top speed toward their destination.
"This thing is fast." Sam commented.
"You bet. We can travel three times faster than the Concord… at least I think that's what Calan told me." Rex scratched his head.
"Three times… how is that possible? The friction alone would rip apart the fuselage not to mention the kind of engine this needs to move this much mass." Sam said.
"Um… science?" Rex shrugged.
"Stop talking!" Six snapped. "You're drawing suspicion."
"But technology like this is more advance than any I've ever seen." Sam whispered to Six.
"Did you say something Six?" Rex asked concerned.
"Stop. Talking." Six repeated.
"Nothing." Sam answered Rex while glaring at Six again. "I want to see schematics before I go." He hissed at Six. If Six could kick him, he would have.
In what seemed like a short space of time, Calan announced that they had arrived.
"Already?" Sam asked in surprised.
On the monitor, a large four legged creature with horns on its back and fangs coming from its face rampaged through the adobe houses.
"Oh yeah, it's butt kicking time." Rex pounded his fist into his hand before turning to go. Sam turned to follow.
"Where are you going?" Six stopped him. "We wait up here until he needs us."
"Did you see the size of that thing?" Sam pointed to the screen.
"It's an unusually large Gila Fang." Calan thought Sam was addressing him.
Six tried to slap Sam's hand down but passed through him. "People are going to think I'm crazy, if you don't stop talking to me. Look, Rex will handle this. I only step in when he can't."
Sam lowered his voice. "And how often is that?"
A sudden loud noise came from the monitor. Both Sam and Six looked up to see Rex smashing through several houses before sliding to a halt in the asphalt.
"Most of the time… give or take." Six answered.
They watched as Rex staggered to his feet and make his Smack Hands just as the Gila Fang lunged at him. The monster sunk its teeth into his build. It picked him up and swung him violently from side to side.
"Ok, now we go." Six said grimly. Sam immediately ran out of the control room. As he got out the door, he paused looking around wildly.
"This way." Six said in an almost exasperated tone as he phased through the door. He headed down the hallway.
Sam started walking then stopped. "Wait! What am I doing? I can't do this?"
Six looked over his shoulder. "You did it once, you can do it again."
"Says you!" Sam said indignantly. "I was barely able to stop that beast the last time."
"Look, the kid needs us. This isn't the time to be doubting." Six argued.
Sam bit his lip. On the one hand, he knew he couldn't let Rex down. On the other, he knew he could get himself killed because he didn't have the know-how his host did. He took a deep breath. The blades flew from his sleeve into his hands. "Ok, let's go."

Rex struggled to get back onto his feet. "Had… had enough?" Rex teetered on his feet.
The EVO growled and charged again. Rex hands balled up and he formed his Punk Busters. As the EVO got close enough, Rex did a roundhouse kick across the EVO's head. It fell on its side. Rex's build fell apart as Rex dropped onto his hands and knees exhausted.
"Rex!" Sam ran to the boy. He helped him onto his feet.
"Hey Six, joining the party?" He asked tiredly.
"Right, party." Sam muttered.
"Sam! Look out!" Six yelled at him.
Sam looked up just in time to see the Gila Fang was on its feet. It shook its head and growled. It slowly circled around Sam and Rex. Sam with blades in his hands watched the EVO carefully. It suddenly sprung at them. Sam swung his blades wildly. He managed to block the attack but the EVO was able to knock him backwards.
"What are you doing?" Six shouted. "Those are swords not baseball bats."
"Well, I'm sorry. I'm not a swordsman." Sam shouted back.
"Of course not! You're a ninja." Rex thought Sam was talking to him.
"Sam, like this" Six showed him how to use his blades.
"Like this?" Sam copied Six. He managed to slice off one of the fangs. The EVO screeched and moved back.
"Good, keep at it. Push it back." Six encouraged him.
Sam emboldened by his initial success, swung again. The EVO backed away from the sharp swords. However, just when Sam thought he had the EVO on the ropes, it suddenly spun around. The tail of the EVO hit Sam across the chest. The blades clattered to the floor as Sam hit the floor.
To Sam it felt like he was hit by a ton of bricks. He was sure he heard ribs cracking. The pain shot through his whole body. There was an explosion of lights as his head hit the floor. He thought he heard Rex yelling Six's name and Six yelling his name. He couldn't even answer them. It took all effort to just breathe.

When Sam went down, Six winced. He would feel that if he ever got back into his body… that is if he didn't die.
Rex stood stunned for a second before his Blast Caster grew from his body. "Hey, you big stupid lizard, how about you play with this!" Rex's whip connected with the EVO's leg. Electricity coursed through the Gila Fang. It roared in pain. Rex then picked the EVO up and slammed it to the ground. He then slammed it to the other side. He kept doing slamming it back and forth until it stopped moving. Rex's build rescinded. He ran to Sam.
"Six? Six? Oh man, come on. Speak to me." Rex bent over.
"Oh boy." Sam muttered before blackness claimed him.
Hi guys, no worries. I will finish this story. It might not be good but I'll finish it. Thank you for reading, reviewing, and following.
