"Never forget Cardin, Strength Rules, But Means Nothing" The Winchester Matriarch recited the family's motto as Cardin prepared to leave the family's estate. Even though everyone who got accepted to Beacon passed the preliminary exams, the Headmaster was notorious for the various initiations to formally accept its students. Not only that but in recent years the same Headmaster actually took apart the initial tradition of four person teams, splitting the newer classes into pairs and then combining pairs into teams at a later point to stress the importance of trusting your partner and working as a team.
After several moments of staring at the vast cityscape below, Cardin finally took a gander among the rest of the students on the airship. Besides immediately noticing the Schnee heiress, Weiss of Atlas, and the indomitable four time "Goddess of Victory" Champion of Mistral, Pyrrha Nikos, he didn't find anyone particularly noteworthy. Filing away the two as a minor priority, he started jotting down more names as he overheard people start introducing themselves to others, taking note of how they acted and what they said in their introductions. Midway through his preparations to send the list to one of his family's secretaries to scrunge up more information about them, he nearly dropped everything as soon as he heard the word "Arc". Tearing himself away from the airships railing towards the source of the speaker, Cardin scanned for the staple blonde hair of the Arc family. After a few brief moments he stopped his search at a scraggly and lanky boy who was currently ejecting his lunch out in front of a short orange haired girl and a taller boy with black hair with a streak of purple.
As the pair backed away from the sad sight, the orange haired one yelled back "cya later vomit boy" as the boy chastised her by saying "Nora, don't be rude". Cardin was immediately confused at this sight. Was this an Arc? How could this puking loser be an Arc? He has the Arc's crest on several of his clothes but the Arcs were a prominent and famous hunter family, yet this sorry sight seemed to be part of them. Taking out his scroll once more, Cardin sent a new seperate email titled "Priority - Arc Family Son, Information and Profile". Within a couple minutes, he received a reply. "No information besides confirmed multiple Arc family son sightings, possibly named "john", around age 17, shown being within Family pictures and 1 of 2 males out of a family of 9.
"Damn it" Cardin muttered, "looks like we got at least a couple capable people, but looks like I got my work cut out for me. I'm going to make sure everyone here can survive whether they like it or not."
His train of thought stopped as a hologram of the headmistress announced who she was and that they would be arriving at Beacon shortly and to head to the main atrium 30 minutes within 30 minutes.
