Hearing the two bade each other farewell brought him memories of his own school days. Even more powerful, was the name of Potter's daughter, who shared her grandmother's name. She even resembled the woman, down to her fiery red hair and startling green eyes.

His heart contracted and he gripped his grandson's shoulder, who in turn looked at him with concern. They were now on their way to the Slytherin dormitories, matching their elegant strides and seemingly blank countenances.

"Are you all right, Grandfather? Should I call—"

"You insult me, young man,"

They resumed walking to the Slytherin dungeons.
