Nary a flinch or a retort. No anger in the young man's eyes.
Good, he knows to conceal his feelings still, Severus thought.
"She is a Gryffindor. I wonder how you'd chosen a brash and reckless young woman over those well-bred young ladies from your own House," he asked coolly.
He was ill-prepared to answer his grandson who then said simply, "You chose a Gryffindor too, Grampere. I wonder why."
