Merry Christmas, Hazuki!
(Happy Holidays, Hazuki II: Holiday HARDER.)
Hazuki hadn't gone home for Christmas.
It wasn't that she disliked her parents or anything. They didn't remember Hatsumi/Eve, apparently because of the magic the young woman used. Or possibly THIS universe hadn't had a Hatsumi in it. Either way, it generated a weird feeling in Hazuki, where she expected to see the remains of their shared life there, but didn't. So, generally, she didn't go home much.
It wasn't too lonely, though. The fittingly named 'Crossover Academy' had a fair number of students staying over for Christmas too. There were a number of teachers left to supervise, though the dorm supervisors had gone home it seemed. The student facilities were mostly staying open too, and there was even plans for a Christmas party.
As the sun rose Hazuki stirred, not quite awake yet. It had been chilly for the last few mornings, but today she felt quite cozilly warm. It was almost like someone had wrapped an extra fuzzy blanket around her.
"Hmm, Hazuki-san..." a female voice sighed.
Hazuki was instantly startled from sleep. She cautiously lifted up her blanket, blinking in surprise at seeing a brown mop of hair against her chest as the smaller woman snuggled up to her. "Meirin!" she yelped.
The fox girl yawned sleepilly as she looked up at Hazuki, seemingly perfectly content to stay right where she was. "Morning, Hazuki. Sleep well?" she winked.
"How did you sneak in here?" Hazuki complained, glad she was still wearing her bra and panties at least.
"I'm a ninja fox girl. Duh," Meirin shrugged.
"Okay, point...," Hazuki conceded.
The dorm room door banged open, revealing a sexy, scantily clad dark brown skinned student. "Kami-sama!" Quill called cheerfully. "Morning!"
"Quill, knock first," Hazuki complained.
"Meirin doesn't," Quill pointed out reasonably.
"Oy..." Hazuki sighed. "Out! Out!" she drove both girls out of her bedroom, then got dressed in her school uniform.

"Hazuki-dono, you look stressed," Fuji Hime noted with some amusement as they sat if the cafeteria getting breakfast. She had her usual order, a traditional Japanese breakfast, as did Hazuki. Around them girls from various countries ate their ethnic fare, including a US student who had eggs and grits. Whatever THAT was.
Unlike the other girls, Fuji had realized that Hazuki didn't really like agressive girls. So she had chosen to be a sweet, comforting presence for Hazuki. It didn't mean she didn't want to bang Hazuki like a screen door too... she was just subtle about it.
"I got woke up early by Meirin and Quill," Hazuki noted wryly.
"Meirin snuck into your bed again?" Fuji noted. Honestly she kind of envied the girl's boldness... she wanted to cuddle Hazuki too!
"Yeah," Hazuki sighed.
Fuji dantilly ate her rice, then some soup. "Are you going to the Christmas party tonight?" she asked Hazuki politely.
"Yoko-sensei is insisting I go," Hazuki admitted.
Fuji sometimes wished the older woman wasn't chasing Hazuki. She had two very large unfair advantages... still, her using her authority to get Hazuki to go was a good thing.
"I was hoping you would," Fuji smiled, looking up at Hazuki tenderly.
Hazuki blushed faintly and looked away. "Uhm, we should get to class," she blurted as she got up and hurried off.
"Oh poo," Fuji pouted as she finished her breakfast. It ALMOST looked like Hazuki was going to kiss her!

"I don't think this is really working," Eve sighed as she and Lilith watched events unfold.
"But it's SO entertaining," Lilith noted cheerfully.
"Are you eating POPCORN?" Eve demanded, frowning.
"Yup. Want some," Lilith held out the bag.
Eve scowled at her, then sighed as she grabbed some. "Wipe your hands before you turn any pages," she reminded her.
"Yes dear," Lilith said.
Eve sighed as she munched on popcorn too. ONE of these women needed to snare Hazuki eventually, darn it...

Hazuki flipped through her closet after classes, trying to figure out what to wear. School uniforms were forbidden for the party, it seemed. She finally settled on a simple blouse and a long black skirt, with stockings.
She hurried from her dorm room, then strode down the hall. As usual she was entirely unaware of how she drew the eye of many single young ladies. And not so single.
"WHAT are you looking at, dear?"
"I wasn't looking. Really," the other woman protested.
"SURE you weren't. Whipe the drool of your chin."
"I was NOT drooling..."
Juri Arisugawa nodded cordially to Hazuki as they both reached the gym. "Season's greetings," she said mildly.
"Happy Holidays," Hazuki responded. Noting she was alone she asked, "Is Shiori...?"
"Once again she is being unfaithful to me," Juri shrugged, resigned.
Hazuki patted her arm, "Sorry." She thought about suggesting she find someone better for her... but she had to admit she was awful at this sort of thing.
"It's fine," Juri shrugged, "who knows, maybe something new will happen."

"NO," Eve yelped.
"And another contender appears," Lilith laughed gaily.
"This is SUCH a mess," Eve groaned aloud.
"Maybe Hazuki should just go for the harem route?" Lilith suggested.
Eve shoved her, though not too hard. "You are NOT helping."
Lilith just laughed.

"Well, that's... garish," Hazuki had to say.
Juri burst into laughter. "It's not THAT bad," she said. Hazuki looked at her flatly. "Okay, it's that bad..." Juri conceded.
Someone at the school clearly REALLY really liked Christmas. There was a large tree in the corner, decorated with strands of lights, ornaments, and chrome tinsel. The walls of the moderately large gym were decorated with garlands and wreaths, along with chains of red and green cardboard.
"Merry Christmas!" Yoko Sumeragi beamed, the very attractive half-japanese, half Russian teacher hurrying over at they entered. "What do you think?" she waved.
"It's very... festive," Hazuki said diplomatically.
Juri bit back a laugh at that.
"And WHY is everyone kissing?" Hazuki had to ask, gesturing to where several young women were smooching.
Yoko pointed up, "Mistletoe."
Hazuki looked up and groaned. Someone (probably Yoko) had practically COVERED the ceiling with sprigs of Mistletoe. "You have GOT to be kidding me..." she muttered.
"We're also under a piece," Yoko purred.
Juri coughed. "Actually, I was under it with her first," she noted wryly.
Hazuki raised an eyebrow.
Juri shrugged, "I don't think we're going to be able to avoid it..."
"Point...," Hazuki conceded. She bent in to kiss her, but they bumped noses awkwardly.
"Ha," Juri snickered, but they managed to line up for a kiss.
"KAWAIIII!" a large number of fangirls cooed.
Hazuki pulled back, smiling slightly. "Well, hopefully that's that?" she murmured.
Juri pointed where Quill, Fuji and Merin were all waiting under various bunches of mistletoe. Not to mention a very amused Yoko. "Maybe not?"
"Oh you have GOT to be kidding me..." Hazuki sighed.
To be continued...?
Notes: Yeah, I may keep doing these or not. It depends.
I'm KINDA going with the idea that Lilith and Eve don't actually GET people on a fundamental level. So instead of actually match making or anything, they just kinda dumped all the candidates on Hazuki and expected something to happen.
