Helen's gone.

It's been two years and Nick's starting to come to terms with that fact even if no one believes that because although Helen's been missing two years Nick's been grieving for three.

The marriage could never have lasted and Nick could tell you where it had all went wrong it was the second he had said I do.

Nick knows why everyone thinks he still misses Her after all he's sitting in a tent in the middle of the wilderness miles from any form of civilisation, they all think he's retreating from the memories, trying to run away but he's not.

Nick's got all the company he needs sitting next to him, Stephen Hart. Nick knows he's being selfish but he can't help it he doesn't want to lose Stephen like he lost Her.

He likes Stephen a lot maybe not love but there could be one day.

It's to bad Stephen doesn't feel the same and Nick Knows he doesn't he had kissed Stephen but although he had responded at first he had quickly come to his senses and ran.

Stephen hadn't mentioned it since and Nick was glad, glad that their friendship could continue despite his stupid mistake.

So here they are it's been two long years and Nick's lost a lot but not as much as he could have because he's still got Stephen and as long as he's got him he's happy to sit here and nock back scotches and remember the scotch kiss.
