Previously: "I don't know Sakura-chan. But I think we're in a bad situation."
Sakura sweat dropped. "You think….Well at least no ones here yet." She said as she scanned the dark room.
"Yeah, we should be fine." Naruto said.
"Who says no ones here." Came a low voice from the corner of the room. Sakura and Naruto almost froze in fear as they met with a pair of blood red eyes. "Ok…We're screwed." Sakura thought. "I take it back, we're boned." Naruto thought as he gulped.
Chapter 7 – Team Reunion!
"Wh-what the? Itachi!" Naruto exclaimed. Sakura was too shocked too speak. Though his hands and feet were bound, Naruto went immediately in front of Sakura protectively.
"Na-naruto?" Sakura whispered.
"Don't worry Sakura-chan I won't let this bastard touch you, promise!" Naruto said reassuringly.
Itachi found the scene that was playing in front of him rather boring and decided to proceed with him plan. With blinding speed he disappeared from his spot and reappeared right next to Naruto. In slow motion Naruto and Sakura stared in horror with the speed of their enemy. Itachi smacked Naruto with the back of his left hand, which caused Naruto to slam against the wall next to the window, with a loud 'thud'.
"Not very good at keeping promises are you?" Itachi said. Then he looked at Sakura straight in the eyes. Seeing his sharingan, she remembered her training with Kakashi and instantly looked away.
"Haruno Sakura, am I correct? Was formally under team 7 with Hatake Kakashi? Currently under the guidance of Tsunade-sama?" Itachi question. Her silence told him that he was right, and he proceeded. "You're quite popular in the medical field. I recommend you to heal my partner, which your comrades took upon themselves to injure." He said this with a slight deadly tone that made Sakura shudder.
From the other side of the room Naruto yelled, "No Sakura-chan! Don't eve-", but was cut off when Itachi kicked him squarely in the chest.
"GAH!" Naruto spat out some blood from the impact. "Fast bastard!"
"Naruto!" Sakura exclaimed.
"Sakura-chan! Don't do it! Don't worry about me!" Naruto said, coughing out some more blood.
"Unless you want him to die like this. I suggest you do what I say." Itachi said.
"Shit, we don't have any chakra left from the last battle. What the hell am I supposed to do!" Sakura thought as she tried to break the chakra threads that were tied around her wrists.
"Sakura-chan…They'll kill me anyways when they extract the kyuubi. He can't threaten my life when it's already a guarantee that he's going to take it." Naruto said.
"N-naruto." Sakura whispered.
Itachi sensed someone coming at a fast rate. "Kohana isn't foolish enough to send only one person after me, but…" Itachi thought for another second before realizing who it was. "So you finally left that snake huh?"
"It looks like we have some company." Itachi said. This made Sakura and Naruto look at each other in confusion. Both of them didn't know what Itachi meant by company, but they could only guess that is was more Akatsuki members. In fear of Naruto dying earlier than thought, Sakura blurted out, "I will help you, but in exchange, let Naruto go!"
"Sakura-chan!" Naruto exclaimed.
"The worth of the kyuubi isn't anywhere close to my partner's life." Itachi said with a bored expression. "How can that bastard say things like that about his own comrade!" Naruto thought.
"I'm not talking about your partner. I can heal your eyesight." Sakura said with a determined look on her face. "How did she know!…..Kakashi." Itachi thought, but showed no emotion whatsoever. He thought about her offer more. With her skills in healing she might be able to do what even the Akatsuki's med nin couldn't do. Sakura could see that he was thinking, while he stared at her.
"Sakura-chan! Are you crazy! If he had his eyesight back who knows what he's going to do!" Naruto yelled.
"I don't care." Naruto was taken aback. "Naruto." Sakura looked at him straight in the eye. "My goal is to make the goals of my teammates a reality…How can you be hokage if you're dead, baka? How can we get Sasuke back home?" Sakura replied.
"S-sakura-chan. That doesn't matter right now." Naruto muttered.
"Yes it does."
"No it doesn't.
"It does!"
"It doesn't!"
"God these two are annoying." Itachi thought.
A dark figure stood only meters away from the small cabin. "Here I come Itachi." He thought as he activated his sharingan. There were a couple of voices coming from in the house. He tried looking through one of the widow from a distance, but only found a view of Itachi's side. "Itachi!" The figure silently growled out.
While Naruto and Sakura were still arguing amongst themselves, Itachi said in a low voice, "He's here." This made the two automatically shut up.
"W-who's here." Sakura asked.
"An idiot." Itachi replied. He was headed out the door as the other two heard someone else in the house.
"Argh, Itachi. Your damn li-", Kisame started, but was cut off when Itachi glared at him.
"Watch those two. It shouldn't be that much of a problem, even in your condition. They have no chakra left. Also, I don't want a scratch on them unless it's absolutely necessary." Itachi instructed as he left the cabin. Kisame just cursed under his breath as he limped into Itachi's room. Naruto heard the small conversation and contemplated what to do as they saw Kisame enter the room. The room was still pretty dark and the only source of light was from the moon, which came from the window he was sitting next to. It took them a while to find each other. As Sakura quickly sat next to Naruto on the other side of the room from Kisame, the two glared at the shark nin.
"Don't even think of escaping. Even in this state I can kill you in seconds." Kisame warned, coughing out blood afterwards.
"Jackass." Sakura thought.
"Kuso. What the heck are we supposed to do now!" Naruto thought angrily. Then they heard a faint conversation coming out from the window. Hesitantly the two looked out the window to find Itachi standing there, talking to a dark figure behind some trees.
"Who the heck is that?" They both thought.
"Hmph, It's the Uchiha runt."Kisame said out loud with narrowed eyes.
"Sasuke!" Naruto said out loud accidentally. Standing up quickly.
"Sa-Sasuke-kun?" Sakura whispered, with wide eyes.
Kisame just nodded toward the window once more. There they saw their long lost comrade. He looked the same as he did six months ago. The same hairstyle along with that gay outfit Orochimaru made him wear. Naruto was about to leap out of the window, but Kisame quickly grabbed him by the collar right before he could leave the window's boundaries, and threw him back into the room. Naruto tumbled down and hit his head against the door.
"Naruto!" Sakura said. As she ran over to her friend.
"Kuso." Naruto said rubbing his head. "Hey! What the heck was that for!" Naruto yelled out.
"Shut up will you? This is going to be a good battle, now shut it or I'll kill the kunoichi." Kisame growled out.
Sakura gulped. She then glared at Naruto, which he read saying Do-anything-stupid-again-and-you're-screwed. It was Naruto's turn to gulp as they both continue to watch the upcoming battle.
"Little brother. It's been a while. Have you gained any stronger since the last time we met, at all?" Itachi asked.
"I'm sure I can kick your ass this time." Sasuke spat out.
"I see nothings changed." Itachi looked at Sasuke directly in the eyes of his sharingan. "Except your fashion sense. So what had that pedophile make you do in that outfit?" Itachi said with some humor in his voice.
Both Sakura and Naruto stared at each other with weird expressions. What did that snake do with Sasuke? This thought made the two shudder. "Ahh…Sick" Naruto thought shaking his head clean. "I thought I would be Sasuke-kun's first? Wait! I didn't mean to think-Argh! Sick thoughts, sick thoughts!" Sakura was shaking her head clean too.
"Why you!" Sasuke charged at the now bored Akatsuki member.
Sasuke pulled out a kunai and swiftly threw it straight at his bother's head. Itachi easily bent his head slightly to the side to avoid the incoming projectile. The kunai landed straight at a tree behind Itachi. Sasuke made three clones that surrounded him. They all made familiar hand seals in unison and released the famous katon fireball jutsu.Itachi was about to jump up and out of the way, but then he heard something burning right behind him. He found that the kunai that Sasuke threw earlier had a powerful explosive tag on it. "Fuck!" He thought as the tag exploded, along with all of the Sasuke's katon justu aiming straight at him.
The area around the small cabin literally lit up the forest as what it seems like a bomb exploded. Sakura and Naruto had to cover their eyes to avoid the brilliancy of the blast. Kisame merely squinted his eyes as he smiled in satisfaction of the quality of the battle.
Sasuke got rid of his clones, as he looked upon the small scorching crater. "Where is he?" Sasuke thought as he looked around. The without his knowing, a small black swirling portal appeared behind him silently. Itachi came out of the portal with a kunai in hand. He was about to strike Sasuke in the back of his neck, but someone from the inside of the cabin screamed, "Hey teme, behind you!". Sasuke instantly took the stranger's advice as he leaped forward, only receiving a small slash on the shoulder.
Sasuke held onto his new wound for a second as he thought, "That voice….Naruto!" he was shocked to see Naruto and Sakura staring straight at him from a window in the cabin. "What are they doing here!"
"You should pay more attention Sasuke." Itachi said as he held his brother two feet in the air by the neck in a tight grip. "Weak as alw-", but Itachi was cut of as he was shot back from the force of his brother's chidori. "He can shoot the chidori from his body?" He thought as he stood up. Sasuke smirked as he set himself into a battle stance once more. Once again Sasuke lunged at his brother in a furious manner.
"Sasuke-kun needs help!" Sakura whispered to Naruto. He nodded in agreement.
"But we have to get rid of this ass." Naruto said pointing at Kisame with the corner of his eyes.
"How much chakra do you have left?"
"Not that much. You?"
"Same, maybe just enough to heal a cut, but that's about it."
"What are you thinking Sakura-chan?" Naruto said with a raised eyebrow.
"I think I have a plan." Sakura said smiling.
Kisame was somehow distracted from the battle from the two hostages' sudden silence. "What the fuck is wrong with them now?" He thought. He decided to just let it pass as he continued to watch the two Uchihas kill each other. Naruto started to cough every couple of seconds or so. This got Kisame pissed off, but he didn't show it as he watched Itachi kick Sasuke straight in the mouth. Minutes later he heard Naruto moan in pain. Then he collapse onto the floor holing his chest.
"Naruto!" Sakura cried out. "What's wrong!"
"What the hell wrong with him?" Kisame asked in an irritated tone.
"Gah….My chest feels…like it's burning. Ahhhh…." Naruto bellowed out.
"Hn. Kunoichi heal him already. I'm sick of his complaining." Kisame growled out.
"I would, but I have no chakra left dumbass! Plus Itachi took away all my medical supplies." Sakura retorted.
Kisame just grunted as he got up. "I don't want Itachi to bite my head off when he sees the kyuubi kid like this. God damn." As Naruto belled out in pain, Kisame ordered Sakura to follow him. Before he left, he made a water clone of himself with Naruto as the real one lead Sakura to the living room. As the two entered the room Kisame stopped and pointed toward a small chest. Sakura walked up to and opened it, viewing its contents. It had all their weapons and gear.
"Don't even think about it kunoichi." Kisame warned when he saw her eye some of her scrolls and kunai. "Just get your medical supplies and go."
Sakura retrieved her medical kit and continued with her plan. As She closed the chest, Kisame turned around and started limping toward Itachi's room.
"Um, Kisame-san." He turned around with a questioning look.
"What now kunoichi?" He growled angrily.
"Your still injured from the last battle, right?"
He gave her a dumbfounded look. "Of course."
"I can heal you a little. Just enough to stop the limping."
"Why wou-"
"Itachi ordered me to. So I thought I do it now." Sakura said cutting him off.
Kisame thought for a second, but like the dumbass he is, he nodded his head in agreement.
"Can you lie down?" Sakura asked politely as she gestured toward the couch in the corner of the room.
As Kisame laid down. As Sakura took out some bottles and ointments.
"Don't even think of trying anything kunoichi."
"I have a freaken name asswipe." Sakura said.
She told Kisame to take of his cloak and show her the most serious injury as she tampered with some medications. Sakura kept every bottle unlabeled, which made Kisame uneasy. As skilled as she was, Sakura new which bottle contained what. She mixed some of her own special mixture into a small bowl as she mixed it with antibiotics. She poured the concoction onto a piece of cotton and placed it on a bloody gash on Kisame's chest. She then bandaged him up. When she was done, he had to admit that he couldn't feel his wound at all anymore.
Satisfied he gave a quick 'good job' and got off from the couch. "Hmph, the poison should be traveling in his blood, straight to his brain in 3..2..1." Then Kisame fainted, landing straight on his face onto the floor. "Hmph, dumbfuck." She thought as she grabbed her and Naruto's things, then rushed toward Itachi's room.
Naruto was glaring at the water clone until suddenly it imploded and transformed into a puddle of water. "Ha, Sakura did it." Naruto thought as he saw a smirking Sakura twirling a kunai in one hand, and two kunai holsters in the other.
"Neji. Do you see anything yet?" Sai asked while jumping onto branches along with his comrades.
Neji just shook his head. "Nope."
"Ahhh! Where the hell did he go!" Ino whined.
"D-don't worry Ino-chan. We'll find them." Hinata said reassuringly. "Oh, Naruto-kun….Are you and Sakura-chan ok?"
After a couple more minutes of running Neji said, "I sense an extremely high chakra level."
"Where?" Ino asked.
"About another mile or so, but that doesn't make sense. Why expose himself?" Neji asked.
"Maybe he's fighting someone." Sai answered.
"B-but Naruto-kun had no chakra the last time I saw him."
"Same with Sakura." Neji said too.
"Well, who the hell can confront Itachi with so much power!" Ino asked.
Then after a couple of seconds it hit them. At the same time they all thought, "Sasuke!"
Sasuke was now panting, blood spilling out slowly from a deep gash on his right thigh. Itachi, surprisingly had a couple of scratches, but didn't show any signs of losing his stamina. "Damn." Sasuke thought. "Tired already? How pathetic." Itachi thought.
"I shouldn't have wasted so much energy getting here. Fuck!" Sasuke thought as he saw fatigue knocking on his door. "I think I can do one more full on assault, but if I miss….No! I won't make a mistake!" "But how the hell am I suppose to hold him down." Sasuke said accidentally out loud.
"Don't worry about that teme!" Naruto said. Appearing next to him. Sasuke was shocked. "Nar-"
"That's right Sasuke-kun!" Sakura said, cutting him off, appearing on his other side.
"Sakura?" Sasuke said. Both Naruto and Sakura smiled at him.
"How the hell did those two pass Kisame!" Itachi thought angrily.
"You should really find smarter partners Itachi!" Sakura yelled out as she saw the extremely rare confused look on the Uchiha's face. It was only ther for a split second, but it was still there.
"Ha, Ha, yeah!" Naruto exclaimed.
"I don't need your help!" Sasuke warned.
"Oh yes you do teme." Naruto said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"No matter what Sasuke-kun. We're still a team." Sakura said, putting on her black leather glove.
"Too bad Kakashi-sensei and Sai aren't here." Naruto said as he adjusted his headband.
"You guys, this is my goal. I am the one to kill him, ALONE!" Sasuke growled out at the two.
"Yeah, yeah, you can kill him, but we'll just have to help you. That's what friends are for." Naruto said, patting Sasuke's back.
"Dobe. Are you even listening to what the heck I'm sa-"
"You wanted someone to hold him down right? Lets go Naruto!" Sakura said cutting him off. Within the second, the two lunged at Itachi. "Kisame! I'm going to kick your ass. That damn kunoichi!" Itachi thought as he readied himself for the upcoming attack.
"Why those two idiots…" But Sasuke found himself smirking as he waited for his cue.
"I would use the kyuubi's power, but I'm too exhausted to control it." Naruto, with what remaining chakra he had left, he made another clone of himself. "No, I won't endanger my friends!" Naruto and his clone continued to charge toward Itachi while Sakura threw kunais with chakra thread and explosive tags,from behind. Itachi deflected one of the kunai as the other hit a tree's trunk. Sakura ran forward with some extra speed as Naruto's clone caught the deflected kunai and threw it at another tree trunk. Now Itachi was just in between the two parallel threads. The chakra threads were merely centimeters away from Itachi's shoulders. "This is it?" Itachi thought, unimpressed.
Then Sakura and Naruto ignited the tags. The explosion took place as Itachi shot back, but then he was grabbed by the clones of both Naruto and Sakura. "What the?" Itachi thought as he tried to get free. When the smoke cleared, he found himself surrounded by clones of Sasuke as well. Each doing a series of hand seals. "That's!" Itachi thought, but Itachi was distracted as he heard a high-pitched chirping sound above him. "FUCK!" He saw the real Sasuke above him with a powerful chidori in his right hand. The Sasuke clones released the katon fireball jutsus all in sequence. Five huge fireballs erupted as the clones of Sakura and Naruto holding down Itachi were destroyed in the process. The five other Sasuke's disappeared as the real one descended upon his brother, chidori in hand. From the sides, all Naruto and Sakura saw was Sasuke plunging into Itachi as a huge explosion took place.
The surprising thing was that Itachi was actually stopping it with his bare hands! "What the FUCK!" Both Naruto and Sakura yelled out.
"We have to help him!" Sakura yelled out.
"Yeah, but I don't have enough chakra. Neither do you." Naruto replied.
"Naruto!"
"What!"
"If you think I concentrated my chakra, could you use the rasengan?"
"I don't know."
"Well, it's a hell of a time to find out!" Sakura exclaimed. Naruto just smiled.
Concentrating all of their remaining energy, Naruto and Sakura placed it into Naruto's right hand. Just like Sakura had seen so many times before, she twirled her hands around Naruto's right hand, while he instructed her on how to perform the justsu. Having some trouble, Naruto used his left hand to assist his teammate. With three hands working together, they formed the familiar blue sphere.
"Ha! We did it!" Narut exclaimed.
"Now to kick that bastard's ass, and help Sasuke-kun!" Sakura exclaimed, as the two charged at the two Uchihas.
"Finally, I'm not waiting in the sidelines. This time, I'm the one to fight along side Naruto and Sasuke!" Sakura thought.
"With this bastard finally gone, Sasuke can come back home, and I'll never find myself looking at a broken family again!" Naruto thought.
"Itachi!" Both Naruto and Sakura yelled in unison.
Both Uchihas were astonished to find the two charging at them with Naruto's rasengan in hand. Sasuke smirked as he silently said in his mind, "They're so annoying.".
As Naruto's right hand, that held the rasengan, and both Sakura's hands collided against Itachi's side, Sasuke's chidori combined with the rasengan. All three of then yelled, "DIE!" as they pressed on the attack. "How could they? When did they?" Itachi thought as he was engulfed by the two powerful jutsus.
A huge explosion took place close by the four shinobi of kohana.
"Neji, Hinata! Track that explosion down!" Sai exclaimed.
"Sakura! Naruto!" Ino yelled worried.
The two Hyuugas raced toward the battle.
"Did….Did we do it?" Sakura asked hesitantly, panting.
"I….I think so. Sasuke?" Naruto asked.
The Uchiha in question just looked before him. A gigantic crater laid only ten feet away from his feet. "Did I finally do it? Is he really gone?" But one thing bothered him the most. "Where's his body? Did we totally destroy every trace of him?"
"Hey teme…We did it." Naruto said while doing his 'nice guy pose'. "Sakura-chan, after this, you and Sasuke-teme want to go get ramen?" He asked as he blacked out and fainted.
Sakura looked at Sasuke with amusement in her eyes.
"That dobe." She said smiling, but then fainted right next to Naruto afterwards.
"Why would you two do this, for me?" Sasuke then smirked. "You guys are just so annoying." He said as he himself, fell unconscious.
When Naji and his group finally came into the scene, they found the their three comrades sleeping side-by-side with each other next to a huge crater.
"Naruto-kun! Sakura-chan!" Hinata and Ino exclaimed.
"Uchiha…" Neji growled out.
"There's no one in the cabin." Sai said.
"So what do we do here?" Ino asked.
As the three were conversing in what to do Sai smiled, seeing his teammates together again. The thing that made him somewhat puzzled was that the three unconscious members of team 7 were all smiling.
Next Time: "What do you want Sai?"…"Tsunade-sama please…"…"Uchiha Sasuke, your punishment will be…"
