"When one creates phantoms for oneself, one puts vampires into the world, and one must nourish these children of a voluntary nightmare with one's blood, one's life, one's intelligence, and one's reason, without ever satisfying them"
(Eliphas Levi)
Once,a while ago, in the Greek heavens a goddess gave birth to a boy she named him Vamp, which is nice, but his last name was Ire. Since some of the rules didn't apply to a young god he went to the humans' fountain to drink. And one day there was a young girl much the same age as he. They fell in love.
One day as he sat at the fountain of the god's and wrote to his human love. As he did so often, the goddess whom admired him came. "Hello." She said. He did not reply, he just continued to write, he rolled the message up and gave it to the dove on his shoulder and walked away. The goddess was furious and followed the bird to the girls' cottage and cursed her to be the reflection in the water where her love walked.
Vamp waited at the fountain of the gods' for the dove carrying his loves message to him. He turned around to get a drink and saw his love in the water's reflection. The goddess that so admired him appeared and told him she would let his human love free if he pledged his love to her and only her. He refused vowing he would never pledge his love to her.
"You will then be cursed to live forever as a god should but you will drink the blood of the humans you so love and will infect all of those you bite, you will be a plague!" The goddess left laughing with pure joy and Vamp was left to wonder the earth for all eternity cursed and a plague alone forever.
