Title: Mistress Tam's Response
Word Count: 109
Pairing: River/Jayne
Rating: PG
Part: 2/2 (probably - there might be more)
Summary: Pleased with the sonnet she received, River responds in kind.
-Note: Yeah, I know there's an erky part in line 10. It's semi-intentional, so... Please don't be pulverizin'. This one also lacks the "question-answer" format, but - in my little 'verse - that's because River was so happy due to the attention she had no questions. Ahem. Just go with me on that, okay? Heh. Also: I made a teensy edit from my original to fix another emphasis problem. Oh iambs... I am at your mercy.
Mistress Tam's Response to Her Stalwart Suitor
All acquiescence! I give you my "yes".
Four chambers shining with aorta's glow.
Intrepid trial meets with great success,
Jayne Cobb, this River steeps you in its flow.
I do desire that our lips - mouths, tongues - meet;
I taste like starlight, like silk, and like fire.
A pact, a deal - my last rites all complete,
A death if you succumb to this desire.
And kneel down pilgrim, warrior, o my knight -
Your mistress commands - at her altar pray.
All flinging fancy flees for forward flight,
My girl- your man-parts: all we need to play.
Serenity's crew surely will be vexed,
But ignore them we can - we're getting sexed.
-A/N: Thanks for reading, everyone. I hope you enjoyed! Please remember to review; it's always appreciated! I know it says "Complete", but I could very easily be persuaded to write more. Seriously, I once wrote a series of 100 haiku about goats because someone told me to. (I really wish I was kidding about that. But I'm not.) I'd probably keep to sonnets, though, just for consistency reasons.
