A/N : Don't own doctor who. Thanks for the reviews, they're great. Sorry about this chapter, I'm slightly tired and suffering from writers block but I've tried my best to make it exciting and stuff. Don't worry next chapter will be way better I promise. And it'll be longer too.
"Impossible" the doctor said, staring at the girl on the ground. Jack had no idea what was going on but something was wrong with Jenny and she obviously needed help. Martha couldn't even possibly began to imagine what the doctor was feeling, it had been enough of shock for her and she'd barely spent much time with Jenny when they'd first met.
"Doctor do you know what's wrong with her?" Jack demanded, unaware of just what Jenny meant to the doctor.
"Jack?" he spun around and suddenly remembered Martha and Jack were there."Martha what happened and start from the beginning" the doctor said looking serious. If he was going to be able to help Jenny, he needed to know everything. And Martha knew that if she was going to start from the beginning, that she'd have to speak to him away from Jack so he wouldn't get suspicious about some things. Jenny had asked her to keep her secret a secret, Martha had promised to do so and wasn't going to let it slip out now.
"Okay, lets go for a walk then doctor. Jack stay with Jenny we'll be back in a few minutes" Martha said, Jack nodded and knelt back down, beside Jenny. The doctor followed Martha as she started to walk down the the centre of Cardiff. "Well a ship crashed here about a day ago and Jack found this blonde girl and brought her back to torchwood for tests and interrogation. Jack called me in and when I went into the medical room, I was nearly as suprised as you were to find Jenny lying there. She told me some stuff which led her to ask me to not do any scans on her because she didn't want Jack or torchwood to find out she had two hearts. When Jack came back in, I decided to take her shopping because she had no clothes other than that green top, black pants and boots she was wearing on Messaline. After we'd been shopping we went back to my flat to change and when we were heading back to torchwood, she collasped and that's when I called you. She started screaming a little earlier and I have no idea what that's about" Martha finished explaining and studied the grim expression on the doctor's face. "That's why we need you. Your the only one we might be able to help her"
" But I don't understand how she survived, she was shot and she still has the same face so she didn't regenerate" he mumbled, running his hands through his hair like he always did when he was thinking."And now she survived her ship crashing down onto Earth. Don't get me started on that yellow light. Something is very, very wrong". Martha's eyes widened in concern.
"She'll be okay won't she, doctor?" Martha asked worriedly.
"Lets go back to her, I need to see her" He answeared and they immediately turned around and walked back to where they came from.
While the doctor and Martha had gone on a little stroll, Jack had stayed by Jenny's side. To his suprise and relief, the glow started to dim and Jenny's eyes returned to their normal blue colour. She was still sweating but she had also stopped thrashing. Still Jack didn't understand what the hell was happening with her. "Jack?" a quiet voice asked softly and Jack looked down and noticed Jenny's eyes had fluttered open. She was obviously feeling a little weak so he lifted her into his strong arms.
"Jenny. you had us worried back there but I swear we'll get you back to torchwood Jenny. You need help and we'll be able to run some tests to-" suddenly Jenny cut him off after she kicked Jack in the stomach and he fell down."Ow, Jenny what the hell?". Jenny jumped out of his arms after suddenly regaining her strength and looked at him alarmed.
"No! I'm not going back there!" She squealed like a small child who didn't want to go to school.
"Jenny, your ill, you need help. Torchwood won't hurt you, I swear!" he insisted and when he went to touch her, she leaped back as if she'd been burnt.
"No! No! No!" she cried and ran off as far away from Jack and torchwood as she could get.
The doctor and Martha returned to where Jenny was suppose to be and to their alarm, she wasn't there anymore. Instead captain Jack Harkness lay on the ground clutching his stomach. "Damn that girl can kick" he said in pain. Martha raised an eyebrow at him and the doctor went to help him up.Jack accepted the doctor's hand gratefully and brushed himself down once he was on his feet again.
"Captain what happened?" the doctor demanded looking worried.
"Well she stopped glowing and woke up but when I mentioned taking her to torchwood to get some help, she kicked me in the stomach and ran off, yelling no. I'm telling you she's insane!" He said and rubbed his stomach again. He can survive the daleks, the most dangerous race in the universe but he can't take a little kick from a crazy alien chick.
"Where'd she go?" Martha asked, concerned.
"She ran in that direction but I don't know if it's a good idea to ran after her" Jack warned and pointed to his left.
"She needs my help" the doctor said and instantly ran off in the direction Jack had pointed towards.
"Jack, Jenny doesn't like being tested" Martha sighed."She told me about her experince on another planet. She might be scared or something and anyway there are some things about her, you don't know" then Martha ran after the doctor, leaving Jack alone to his thoughts.
Jenny ran for it. She was running for her life and no matter what, she was determind she wouldn't be found. She felt bad about abandoningMartha but she had to escape Jack. If she had allowed Jack to take her to torchwood, he would of done tests and scans and found out about her two hearts. Then he would of locked her up in a small dark prison and straved and tortured her. Jenny had heard stories about Earth andfrom what she knew about it, she had a feeling they wouldn't be very friendly towards her. She ran and found herself in some feild somewherewith a long crumbling wall. In the distance she saw some ruins of a castle but she wasn't in the mood to explore like she usually was. She remembered Jack's expression after she'd kicked him and suddenly felt a pang of guilt. Maybe he was only trying to help but she'd been so scared and she needed to protect herself. Plus she'd been confused after that little incident. She yawned and realise she was really tired and she just wanted to sleep and hide away forever. Jenny curled up in a ball on the dry, green grass and felt herself drifting off until a sudden bang nearby, awoke her.
