A/N: It seemed a while since I had submitted anything to this very small poetry collection. I know I said most of the poems would touch on the Dorian/Basil relationship. This is one of the poems that focuses exclusively on Dorian.

Never a moment of peace,

Never a fragment of truth,

Never an instant's release,

Life for my innocent youth.

Never a moment to lose,

Never a moment to gain,

Never an ego to bruise,

Beauty for incessant pain.

...

Never to pay for my sin,

Never to weep for my soul,

Never again to begin,

Never again to be whole.

...

Never my own part to play,

Never a change in the wind,

Never, not ever, to say,

"Forgive me, for I have sinned."

...

Heavy, unthinkable debt,

Always, forever, regret.
