Rain: Ugh… Gouenji, why is your personality so complicated to maintain in-character? *playing DS*I think I've said this before but expect an OOC Gouenji…

Emi: *sweat drop*That's Rain's way of apologizing for not being able to update this for more than a month?

Rain: *shrugs* I don't really count anymore XDD Well, this chapter's pretty much rushed-ish but I hope you all enjoy it anyhow. Forgive me if it kinda sucks...

Disclaimer: Rain does not own Inazuma Eleven or any of its characters. She only owns Emi and the very cliché plot.

"Umm… Hi." I stammered.

I scratched the back of my head due to the insecurity that consumed me. I was never really well-rounded with others. Maybe I should've just escaped the clutches of Ms. Toriumi… Well, it's too late for that now. Gouenji looked at me and gave me a small smile. My body suddenly went all numb and my face was getting hot.

He chuckled, "Relax, I don't bite."

I smiled a bit. I guess this wasn't so bad. For the first time in my whole life of isolation, I finally started a conversation with someone! Wait... is that really a good thing?

"I'm sorry if I'm being a bother or anything." I said, "It's just that being the new kid is pretty hard."

Gouenji nodded, "You'll get used to Raimon in a while; a lot of people here mean well."

"That's great to hear. About the tour around school, you don't mind if we do that tomorrow right?"

"You're the new student here. I'm simply here to make sure you feel at ease during your first few weeks."

He's actually an easy guy to talk to… Maybe that's why Ms. Toriumi dragged me, or rather forced me to talk to him. I wonder if I should thank her.

With classes over, I guess I take back everything I said about wanting to be homeschooled. I got a message from my parents stating I should walk home which sucks since I still don't know my way around town. I can always ask for directions but then again, sometimes it isn't so good to trust strangers… I sighed as I went out the campus. Before I could walk any further, Gouenji grabbed my wrist.

"Gouenji-kun," I said as I looked at him.

He asked, "Heading anywhere?"

"I'm heading to Inazuma General Hospital. Umm… do you know the directions going there?"

Sure, I can confess it all out. I don't mind letting anyone know actually. The whole staff in the hospital knows of my condition; it wouldn't really make a difference if the whole school knew as well. They'd find out eventually especially when I might faint, cough out blood… You guys get the point. As we walked, I sensed that Gouenji maybe wanted to know a little more about why I was heading to the hospital.

I explained, "It's not like I'm crazy or anything. It's not a big deal really; I'm just diagnosed with an unknown disease that might kill me sooner or later."

Maybe I should have tossed the words my disease might kill me… Eh, but it's the truth.

Gouenji stopped on his tracks, "You make it sound like you want to pass."

"To be honest, I don't know if I want to die or not." I clenched my fists, "I lived most of my life in a white room being checked on and tutored that it's hard to tell the meaning of me living if I'm a frail girl. I'm looking for answers to guide me through my decision. I can't say life is wonderful for I haven't seen much of the bright side of it. I can say I'd would love to pass away now but is there a possibility I'll regret dying...?"

Gouenji looked at her with shock. To find out that Emi was between the lines of living and dying… Was there a way to help her? By far, nothing has crossed his mind... Later, he realized that they were now in front of the hospital. He wasn't sure what else to say to her other than…

"I see…" He just nodded, "Well, here's your destination: Inazuma General Hospital." He tried to give a convincing smile, "I'll see you tomorrow."

Emi bowed to him, "Thank you very much, Gouenji-kun."

The lavender-haired girl quickly entered the building moments later. The white-haired teen could only stare at the last place Emi had stood. Something about her made him want to find out more about her as well as to shed some flavor in her being… He began to wonder if his father knew a thing or two about the girl's condition.

Rain: I promise longer chapters soon… It's just that I wanted to update this after so long… See you all in the next chapter and please review~
