Falling For You
Shadow stared as Aleishea walked past him. Her beautiful sliver wings glittered in the noon day sun. As she walked, all Shadow could focus on was her beauty and majesty. How am I going to win her trust? He thought as he watched her suddenly get into a fight with Knuckles. She is so cute, but how am I going to show her that I like her? He again thought as she threw through Knuckles into a tree. Time is all I can hope.
Aleishea growled as Knuckles got back up. Finally, she turned away from him and glanced at Shadow. Wow! She thought, he is so cute, but how do I tell him that? How do I win his trust?. Her thoughts were interrupted by Knuckles came crashing into her. "GET OFF YOU GREAT RED MUTT!" She shouted as she threw Knuckles off again. Time is the key she thought as she looked at Shadow one last time before going home.
The next day when Aleishea woke up, she wasn't at her house but somewhere else. "Owwww. Where am I? " She asked. The only thing that answered her was the wind. She stood up and noticed Shadow standing at the edge of Brier's Gorge. He looked as if he was in a state of confusion. Slowly she approached him. "Shadow?" She asked as she neared him. "Why, I ask, do I continue to stand here? Why do I not end the world of its misery and give the canyon its joy? I have no friends in this world. I am but on of the flaws in the world." He asked her. She looked away thinking hard about her answer. Finally, she replied, "Shadow, to the world you maybe one person, but to one person you maybe the world" Shadow turned to her and asked "Do you know the person you speak of?" He eyed her as if he expected her to say no. But to his surprise she nodded her head. "Who then?" Aleishea looked at the ground and sighed, "I will tell you only if you promise me you won't kill me. Shadow…… alright, me, there now I said it. Now you can tell all your friends what a freak you think I am!" she was in tears by the time she finished. She took off at a dead run. Shadow was shocked. He ran after her and he shouted her name several times. But nothing called Aleishea to him.
Shadow finally found her in the park. When she saw him she said "What? Did you come to tell me that you hate me?" Shadow looked sympathetically at her. "No, Aleishea, I came to tell you that I…. I feel the same about you. Oh, what the hell, Aleishea I…I…I love you. You're the most beautiful hedgehog I've ever met." Aleishea smiled and walked over to Shadow and brushed her wing against his face. The she got really close to him and whispered "Do you want to prove it?" Shadow smiled as he leaned in to kiss her. Aleishea finally pulled away and said "Shadow, I love you." And the kissed again. As the sun set below the horizon, Shadow and Aleishea were happy to be together at last.
