Thalia's POV

It is the day of my nineteenth birthday. Nearly four years had passed since I made a deal with my dad. Everything is going well now. Well except for the occasional monster attacks.

Today is my belated birthday celebration. I didn't celebrate in on the exact day of my birthday for two reasons: one, it was a weekday and Percy and Annabeth had classes, and two I was in the infirmary healing my right leg. Luke didn't come too since I called Nico and told him not to summon him yet. He and Clarion have been getting along well. I should probably tell you what had happened, on how we met Clarion.

Piper and I had been in New York that day; just getting a day off from training (we asked permission from Chiron of course).

We were walking across the park when we saw Clarion being chased by a hell hound. So I took out my dagger, that I bring everywhere, and so did Piper. I went to the front of it then I turned around to see if Clarion was okay but the hellhound was quick and grabbed me by the hoodie I was wearing then threw me to one of the trees and my right leg hit the trunk of that tree.

Piper stabbed the hell hound, killing it. After that she checked Clarion and asked if she was okay. It turns out they knew each other, since Clarion's mom is a singer (and that is why her dad is Apollo) and Tristan and Clarion's mom met at the Grammys and then Tristan, with Piper, visited Clarion's mom at their mansion. Then they ran to me and Piper gave me a little bit of ambrosia. I could walk a bit but it still hurt. We brought her to Camp Half-Blood afterwards.

Anyways, let's get back to the present. As I am in the hangout, preparing for later since it is my birthday celebration. Percy and Annabeth had classes in their respective schools so they would be coming in the afternoon.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Reyna and Jason came in – arguing about who was better than who.

"A daughter of Bellona was born with the skill," Reyna proudly said.

"Demigods are all born with the skill of fighting. How do you think we are still alive," Jason countered a he rolled his eyes.

"But there's no doubt that-"

"STOP!" Reyna was cut off by Piper. "Would you two not argue? You always argue whenever you're in Camp Half-Blood. No offense to you both but when you guys are outside Camp Jupiter, it doesn't matter who's better than who because here, Percy's the leader," she finished.

"Not daring to side with your best friend or your boyfriend?" I whispered in her ear. She replied with a quick nod.

"Happy birthday sis!" My idiot brother said.

"It's a little bit late for that isn't it?" Reyna asked but was answered with a shrug.

"Are Lou, Connor, Travis, Katie, Nyssa and Will coming?" Jason asked.

"I don't know but that idiot Nico better come," I said.

"I'm sure he will but isn't he and Clarion on a date and are dating?" Reyna questioned.

"They are? Wait doesn't Nico have a soul mate?" I asked.

"He does and maybe they're not yet official but there's something about them that I can't understand," the daughter of Aphrodite said.

"What, the part where he makes her happy?" Jason stupidly asked. Earning him a smack on the arm

"No you idiot. He wears a worried expression whenever they talk about the Olympians," Reyna said.

"How come you noticed that?" I asked.

"Only a dense idiot wouldn't see that," Piper replied; then we all looked at Jason and laughed a little bit too loud causing us to break out in tears. I mean it took him two years to ask the girl out.

A few seconds after our talk, the Stoll brothers, Lou, Katie, Will and Nyssa came in, then after five minutes Percy and Annabeth came. They all already greeted me happy birthday when I was in the infirmary.

I stole Annabeth from Percy for a while to talk.

"Nico, I think, has found himself a girlfriend," Annabeth looked shocked to what I said. I mean really, really shocked.

"He's finally found her. Could she be his other half?"

"Possible, we are gonna just have to wait. We could guess something – it's possible their energies are no longer tied," after I said what I said, Nico came in laughing with Clarion. Annabeth and I smiled at each other.

"Nico di Angelo!" I said – no, more like screamed.

"What?" came in as his reply.

"Summon him. It's bad enough it took you so long to come with your girlfriend." Having that said made him and Clarion blush.

He quickly summoned Luke then I excused myself from my friends then we went for a stroll in the forest.

"How have you been?" Luke asked me.

"New half-blood, occasional monster interruptions, how 'bout you?"

"Same old boring stuff. I did hear that Nico got a girl. Claire Lockheart was it?"

"Clarion Braveheart," I corrected him, "she's super nice."

"He found the right one after more than three years. He really didn't look."

"But he found the right one," I countered.

"What he said came true."

"You find the right one if you don't look, clever of him."

"Wonder what the fates have in store for us," he wondered.

"We'll never know. We can only keep going forward. We can't step back but we can look back," I assumed.

"You'll never know though – something from the past could make you realize something that concerns the one for us," he smirked that smirk of his after he finished.

He's right though; we can't take a step back, only move forward and look back. And if you look back at the right moment, you just might see that one person for you, was always there, just hidden in plain sight.

Just like what happened to me and who knows, maybe, just maybe, the same thing could happen to you.

To all those who read, reviewed, and added this story to their favorites, expect a sequel, it won't be coming around soon. I adopted a story and I'm gonna work on that first. And I would like to thank mrslukecastellan and NeverEndingImagination1210 for reviewing on every single chapter.
