Sorry for the late update. I had a family emergency and then a funeral to attend. Thanks to everyone who has read and reviewed and added to favorites and alerts. It means so much to me knowing that people read my stories. Also I just got a Tumbler. I'll post spoilers of my stories on there so follow me. :).

Nick was honestly scared. After Jeff's mother Rebekah caught them, there had been an argument. It had all been in Latin so Nick had no clue what they were saying. All he knew was that it made Jeff angry. That had been two days ago and since then Jeff had ignored him. Nick had spent most of his time with Blaine, Thad, David, and Wes. Kurt had ignored him but then let his grudge fall. He knew Nick's life wasn't the best and he couldn't blame Nick for wanting to get away.

Today was a very hot day. Nick was sweating and had shed his shirt long ago. He walked around his room in his boxers trying to cool down. Today he missed air conditioning and the pool Dalton had. He remembered the pond Jeff showed him, but it was in the woods and he would get lost.

"Fuck this." Nick pulled on his clothes and walked downstairs and out of the castle. He went to grab Blaine and Kurt. The other guys were working.

"Where are we going?" Blaine asked.

"A pond Jeff showed me the other day. " Nick led the way hoping they wouldn't get lost.

After walking around aimlessly Kurt spoke up. "I think we're lost."

"Yeah. Damn. " Nick looked around. They were definitely lost. His head snapped around when he heard a twig breaking under weight. He looked around again and then found himself on the ground with a knife against his throat. He pushed away the girl that attacked him. Being apart of Dalton's fight club was a good thing in the long run. The girl had long blonde hair and green eyes. If Nick were straight he'd be all over her, but then again she was trying to kill him. She growled and Nick could make out some fangs. She lunged and Nick let out a whimper as his side connected with a tree. There was a crack and he was sure his ribs were broken. He looked at his two best friends. "Run." Blaine hesitated but then pulled Kurt's arm and ran back in the direction they came from.

"This is so easy. I thought you would put up a fight, being the heir of Rowan. Oh well. " She picked up Nick and threw him into another tree. "Come on fight back! It's more fun if you fight back. "

Nick felt blood flowing from his nose. He was sure his right ribs were broken. "Why are you doing this."

"Because Rebekah needs to stay a vampire. If she harnesses your power she'll take over the world. Kill the humans and have our kind rule. It will be hell on earth. I'm from Rowan. We want peace and with you alive, well we won't get it. " She moved towards the brunette and pulled out her sword. "I'm sorry my Prince." she raised the sword above Nick.

Nick's eyes closed and he prepared himself for the pain, but it never came. There was a thud as something hit a tree. Nick's eyes opened and there was a flash of blonde before he was alone in the forest.

To say Jeff was outraged, was an understatement. He grabbed the female and pinned her to wall made of stone. Nick was far away from them now that he couldn't be hurt. "Ryder." he growled.

"Jeffrey. Long time no see. "

"What business do you have in my realm?"

"I have direct orders to kill him. Your mother cannot harness his power."

"You cannot kill him. I will deal with my mother when the time comes."

"I'm sorry Jeffrey but I have my orders." Ryder pulled a knife out of her boot and stabbed Jeff. Jeff stumbled back and down to the floor. The blade glistened with his blood as the sleeping poison flooded Jeff's veins and senses. Ryder took off back into the forest in search of her kill.

Nick was alone. He couldn't move due to the broken ribs, but he still felt the danger around. At least Jeff was protecting him. He looked up when he saw blonde but his heart raced in fear. She was back. He tried to stand but the pain was unbearable. Pressure on his neck made his vision blackout. It felt like he was stabbed, but Nick knew better. This is how vampires kill. Nick's eyes widened when he realized this girl was back. "Jeff..."

The girl laughed. "Aw how cute. It almost makes me feel bad for coming in between love. Oh well. Both of you will be together again soon." the pressure returned to his neck but he couldn't feel it. All he could think of was Jeff hurt and alone somewhere in the woods.

"Let me go!" the vampire flew into a tree and went limp. Nick blacked out before he could register what happened.

He woke up later in his bed. No this was his old Dalton dorm bed. His eyes took in the blue gray walls. One was covered in a collage of pictures of his friends throughout the year. His laptop and suitcase lay neatly in the corner of the room. Although it was summer, Nick lived in the dorms since his parents kicked him out. Luckily they paid his tuition. Everything to make sure he didn't come home. He sat up expecting pain, but all he felt was soreness. Slowly he stood and made his way to his charging iPhone.

3 missed calls. Blaine, Kurt and Blaine again. He pressed the send button and soon Kurt's voice was on the other end.

"Nick your up. Are you ok?"

"Fine. I feel weird though. I don't remember coming home and I have this feeling like the dream I had was real." he unplugged the phone from the wall and made his way out of the room and downstairs to the Dalton common room.

"Your were sick. Don't your remember? I guess you wouldn't. It will come back to you soon." Kurt's voice was strained.

"You ok Kurt?"

"Fine. I'll call you later." Nick could hear Finn in the background talking about Rachel.

"Yeah call me." Nick hung up and slipped his phone into his pocket. He walked into the common room where he could hear talking. Blaine and Trent sat together on a couch. Sitting in the armchair was a tall blonde boy. He wore jeans and a blue plaid Hollister shirt. His head lifted and his blonde locks fell over his green eyes. Nick's heart stopped. "Jeff..."

"Nick!" Trent hugged Nick close.

Nick chuckled and hugged Trent back. Blaine soon joined the hug. Nick pulled away and looked at the blonde. "Jeff care to explain?"

Jeff looked away. "You were hurt. "

"Yeah I remember, but how I'm at Dalton and your wearing Hollister."

"I like this brand now. Kurt took me to a mall. It was exciting. Of course we had to stop because he said he ran out of money. You use plastic as currency. It's weird."

"Credit cards are not weird. They make things better. Well until you have to pay everything back but still." Trent piped in. "Oh Nick I forgot to tell you. Good catch. I approve and if you don't take him maybe I will. "

Nick rolled his eyes and walked over to Jeff. "You brought me back?"

"I didn't know what else to do. You wouldn't heal or wake up and you kept saying Dalton. Blaine explained where it was so, here we are. "

"But isn't your dad going to be pissed?"

"Yes. I fear he will banish me if I go back. So I am staying here. Kurt helped me into your kings room and make papers so I can attend this school. "

"You mean headmaster. He's not our king. What about all your friend back in Italy."

"I brought Thad with me. He is in his room. I could not leave him. He was the only human my father knew I had contact with. If I had left him..." Jeff shudders and Nick has visions of torture and poor Thad.

"He'll be safe here. You both will. Plus it's Westerville Ohio. No one can find you here."

"I hope so." Jeff lightly pressed his lips to Nick's. Nick deepend the kiss before they broke apart just to look into each others eyes.

'This is gonna be a good year.' Nick thought as he pressed his lips to Jeff's.
