A few weeks passed. School was still on its summer break so that left Jeff, Trent, Blaine, and Nick left at the school, out of our group. Jeff and Trent had grown close. They spent a lot of time out in the gardens helping the plants. Trent loved flowers and Jeff was happy when he was surrounded by nature.
Nick was in his dorm room, watching Netflix, when Jeff walked in. He smiled and handed a bouquet of flowers to the brunette.
"What's this for."
"I thought you would like them. They're beautiful, like you."
Nick blushed and pulled Jeff close. Their lips met and moved in sync until Jeff pulled away his eyes filled with hunger.
"Sorry. I haven't feed in awhile."
"Drink from me."
"Nick..."
"I'm serious. Plus people here won't be so accepting if you drink from them." Nick pulled off his shirt and tilted his head so his neck was exposed. Jeff's eyes dilated in hunger and his fangs extended. Nicks eyes closed and he felt pain shoot down his body. It was quickly replaced by a numbing sensation. He felt Jeff swallow and suck on his neck. After a few minuets it was over. Jeff pulled away and went into the bathroom. He came back with the first aid kit and started bandaging Nick's neck.
"How come when that vampire girl bit me, it hurt?"
"Because she was trying to kill you. She wanted you to feel pain. When we feed it's different. The person we feed on won't feel pain."
Nick nodded and laid down. He felt lightheaded but it was normal with blood loss.
"You ok?" Jeff looked at his boyfriend.
"Fine. Just a little lightheaded. I'm just gonna sleep it off. I'll be fine. " Nick closed his eyes and let sleep overtake him.
Jeff watched Nick fall asleep. He knew humans couldn't lose to much blood, but he had been starving. He decided to go get Nick something to eat. Food helped after blood loss. He went down to the dorm kitchen.
"Jeff?" Jeff turned around and saw Thad.
"Hey. You ok?"
"No. I had a dream that your parents found us. They killed me. " Thad looked up at the blonde with wide eyes.
"No one will find us. I doubt my dad knows what Westerville Ohio is." Jeff had grasped the way of talking in 2012 but sometimes his old time words slipped. The students that stayed during the summer looked at him rudely. Some called him a freak. Just because he talked a certain way didn't mean he was a freak. "Go back to bed Thad, it's late."
Thad nodded and walked back down the hall towards his room. Jeff grabbed a bag of popcorn and stuck it in the microwave. He took two cokes out of the fridge and a few chip bags. Nick had a mini fridge in his dorm that was home to several sandwiches bought from a deli in town. The popcorn finished popping and Jeff pulled it out and poured it in a large bowl. He took everything upstairs and sat on his bed. After a lot of compulsion, recently found out by Nick, Jeff managed to dorm with Nick. Nick freaked when he heard about compulsion. To say the least, Jeff was banned from using it unless an emergency.
Nick lifted his head. "Popcorn?"
"Yup. Extra butter." Jeff smiled but it faded when Nick shot up from the bed and practically jumped on Jeff. "Thanks for almost breaking me." Jeff said sarcastically. Nick just smiled and tossed a handful of popcorn into his mouth. As he chewed, he grabbed his laptop and turned on Netflix. He looked over the scary movies and smiled when he saw a familiar title. He clicked on play and set the laptop at the foot of the bed. The boys shifted so they both were comfortable on the full size bed. Soon Paranormal Activity 2 started playing. They munched on popcorn and chips. Nick looked up at Jeff, who had a confused look on his face.
"What?"
"Nothing, just...I've never seen a horror movie but...aren't they supposed to be scary?"
Nick laughed. "This movie is scary. It's only the middle."
"Nick I live with other vampires and werewolves. I'm sure I know what scary is and this ain't it."
"Well I find it scary. I always get scared with horror movies." Nick looked at the screen and scooted closer to Jeff. Jeff smiled and wrapped his arm around Nick's shoulders. As the movie ended Nick had his face in the crook of Jeff's neck. 'I think horror movies are my new favorite thing.' Jeff thought to himself. Nick pulled away from his boyfriend and went to look up other movies. He clicked on The Unborn. It was on of his favorite movies and Cam Gigandet was hot. He went back and sat in between Jeff's legs. Jeff's arms wrapped around his waist and his head lay on Nick's shoulder. The movie played and every time Nick jumped, Jeff kissed his neck. The movie ended and Nick was asleep in Jeff's arms. Jeff laid him down and looked at the laptop. He scanned the keys to find the off switch. Nick was teaching him who to use the laptop but he showed him the Internet and word. He left out the part of where to turn it off. Jeff carefully closed the computer. 'Surly it will turn off.' he put the laptop on Nick's desk and went back to lay next to the sleeping brunette.
