2. Fear

Fear Sometimes, Itachi will wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to see anything. And then he panics because he's sure that he has finally gone blind and that he'll be worthless now, until he remembers that it's the night and its dark in the windowless room. But he still lights a candle and holds it over Kisame's sleeping face, and spends hours staring at him as intently as he can. Itachi tries desperately to memorize and remember everything about Kisame, because he is truly scared that one day, he will wake and never be able to see that face again.
