James was running up the stairs, his stamina draining. He thought he had caught the criminal red-handed at the base. Instead, he had to run all the way up to Big Ben. Brilliant.
When he reached the top of the stairs, Drebin was standing there, huffing.
"There is nowhere to run, Drebin!" Exclaimed James, Glad his chase was over. "Hand over the remote," He pulled out his pistol. "And I won't have to kill you."
"Ah, Mister Smith. So glad to see you. I see it must come to this." He brandished his remote, fumbling with the safety switch. "I will never relinquish this remote until it has fulfilled its purpose of killing everyone in America."
"That's kinda why I want it. Why do you want to kill everyone in America again?"
Drebin didn't answer. Instead, he slid under James and pushed him into Big Ben. James fired a shot at Drebins leg, however it had no effect. Drebin launched himself at James and, in the ensuing grapple, dropped the remote. James lunged for it, before being hit by Drebin. James's gun flew out of his hands. Drebin picked it up and shot James in the stomach.
James, in pure physical pain, used the last of his strength to leap at Drebin, sending Drebin out of the clock face onto the ground below. James then fell over, his landing on the remote. He got it.

"So it's 'James Smith, 34, Rank 007. Killed on the 21st November 1958, Securing object of mass destruction'?"
"Yes." M sighed. James was a very good agent and a very friend. That's probably why he used his DNA for the cloning. "File it in."
M walked away, distraught. He decided to check on the clones training. See how that was going.
Each clone was, as per recommendation, ageless. It would help in the long run. They each showed exemplary progress, especially the Irish speaking one. Q greeted M with joy, unaware about James.
"I wish you to know that the training is going along swimmingly! Though it has occurred to me, It's hard to call for them and they need first names. Any ideas?"
M pondered, and then said. "How about James?"
"After our dear good friend? Well, he was the clone's basis… why not?! Say, where is he?"
"Well, if you must know…"
