Back by popular demand is the sequel to Hearing Voices isn't Always Bad! Gosh I hate capping the titles of thing…it's really annoying…I wasn't sure how to approach this so don't be too upset with the results! Bla bla bla moving past the author's note!

Germania's POV

Shock, I could say, was the first thing that ran through my mind when my oldest son walked through the front door with a small, blonde child in his arms. Anger, some might add, was the second. How could he bring a child, a human child for that matter, into the home of four very old, very powerful (or not so powerful in Ludwig's mate's case) vampires? Confusion, others might argue, ran close third when I noticed the unnatural paleness of my son's face, accompanied by slick tear tracks. Fear, none dare mention, burned my very core. What could have shaken my son up so harshly? What could have led him to such actions?

I took a tentative step towards Gilbert and the child, noticing the albino's shoulders tense at the sudden approach. His arm tightened visibly around the boy's frail body, yet when he met my eyes, I saw nothing but pure, undiluted joy. Such joy, and love, that had not been seen in my presence in many, many decades. He opened his mouth to speak when a brunette flash flew past us, knocking him over. Thankfully, he had released the child in time to avoid bringing him down with him.

Ludwig's mate, Feliciano, straddled Gil, hugging the man around the neck and crying as if hunters were hot on his tail. I could barely make out what the small vamp was dribbling about, but thankfully, again, my youngest son had enough sense to follow that handful he decided to spend the rest of his immortal life with and pulled the Italian vampire off of his brother. Feli clung to his neck like a woman would her man after saving her from certain death.

The small blonde boy helped Gilbert up as the older man rubbed the back of his head. He hugged the small male, pulling him close to his person. I smiled at the small act of closeness, of intimacy, that seemed to have melted my son's walled up heart. I decided to break the tense silence before it became any more awkward for all of us.

"Well son. Whom do we have here?' I tried to keep my expression neutral, which must have seemed startling, for the blonde boy quickly hid behind Gilbert's back, trembling. I mentally scolded myself, forcing my face to soften, just a tad, "I am Gilbert's father. I see you are close to my eldest. I am please he has found someone to tolerate his horrendous personality." Without my permission, the edges of my lips turned up, but just slightly. This, however, seemed to signal to boy to become at ease, for he stepped out from behind the Albino and giggle slightly at Gilbert's quickly reddening face.

"E-excuse me, sir. I am Matthew Williams." His voice was soft, yet not weak. There was a hidden strength fueling some kind of fire in his amethyst eyes.

"Hello Mathew. It is a please to meet someone with such patience." His face blushed slightly, and he lightly chuckled at my eldest son's expense. I could understand what Gilbert saw in this young lad, but one thing still bothered me, "Matthew, please come here." He took a tentative step forward, and in a flash I was at his neck, teeth bared. With reflexes only a freshly turned vampire could posses, he spun around, ducked under my legs and rolled across the room, jumping back up to land on his feet.

"Vait! Vati! Mattie is not a human! He is a vampire like us! Please leave him be!" Gilbert's well retained German accent flooded his voice as he frantically tried to get my attention. I decided to play a little. I haven't had this much fun in decades!

Teeth still bared, I flicked my head towards my son. An inhuman growl echoed through the house as I took one, predator like step in his direction. I could sense the fear radiating off of Gilbert, but not for himself, for his little blonde boy. I flitted to his side in a millisecond, letting him get one good look at my face before pulling him into a large embrace.

"My son. Gilbert. I am so happy for you. You can finally be happy! My eldest son has finally found a mate, and I can rest easy knowing he will be in good hands!" His tensed body relaxed in my grasp as tears overflowed for what I could tell was not the first time that night, "Now, why don't you tell your Vati what the hell happened?" I joined the procession of my family into the living room where we sat around, each with their respective mate, waiting for the new couple to spill their guts.

A smile made its way to my lips as I gazed at my completed family. Only one thing was missing though. One thing that could have made this perfect and that one thing was lost to me forever. I could almost hear his rambunctious laughter spilling through the room as his unique sent floated through the air. His mahogany hair would be mussed up due to the crazy adventures he would have been on that day. Though my mate, Rome, was no longer by my side, I can relive that love I felt when watching my sons sharing that special bond.

A particular part of Gilbert's story, a part concerning dancing silver wear, brought me out of my daydreams. Thank the Gods that my son found love, terrible personality and all.

So this was my first attempt writing in Germania's POV, ever. I felt like he would be very mature while speaking, even with his own children. I had to re-write the entire end to avoid unnecessary angsty longing and such. Poor Mattie barely got any screen time in this chapter! Anyone who read it all the way to the end, you have my congratulations!

And for Ennke…..I'll take my strawberries now!
