Chapter 4: Momo-chan?

I woke up to once again, to something poking my cheek. I opened one eye and felt a rush of déjà vu looking at the greenery and Naruto. "You must really like to sleep here" he said. Shivering, I sneezed in reply and looked at the orange ninja. "Morning, Naruto..." I said, while stretching. My throat felt like it was on fire and I regretted speaking immediately. I must have caught a cold since I had a pretty weak immune system, compared to most. "I don't particularly like sleeping here; I just don't have a place to live in yet." I croaked in reply. "Hmmm..." he thought, closing his eyes and rubbing his chin. "Well... Want to go to the ramen shop again?" He asked cheerily. "Sure!" I smiled.

When we got there the Oji-san looked at the two of us and smiled, "The usual I'm guessing?" He asked. "Yep!" Replied Naruto happily. This time I got a small bowl or ramen and when I finished about half of it, something ran past the ramen shop at lightning speed, causing a huge gust of wind to whip past us. "What was that?" I asked, surprised. "I don't know..." Naruto was already on his fifth bowl and I stared at him amazed and once again felt drawn to his whiskers. I turned around before he noticed this time and tried to stop the blush forming on my cheeks when the person who created the giant gust of wind came back. This time rather than running past us, the person stopped right in front of us and looked at me. That's when I got a good look at her. She was really pretty, with long, sandy brown hair and short shaggy bangs. She was slightly tanned and had beautiful hazel-yellow eyes. I noticed she was mostly wearing clothes from my world, a pair of baggy dark blue cargo pants, and a grey halted top with sleeves that hung off her shoulders, and on her shoulders I could see black straps from her half tank top underneath, she was also wearing ninja shoes.

She looked at me and said "Aahhh! You're another player aren't you?" I stared at her quizzically when Naruto asked me if I knew her. I shook my head in reply. Looking at me, the brunette pulled my arm, causing me to fall off my chair and on to my feet. "Come with me!" she exclaimed. I turned to Naruto and the shop owner, digging into my pocket and pulling out some money that Isamu had given me the other night. "Thank you, I'll see you later Naruto." The girl kept pulling my arm urging me to hurry. "All right… I'm coming." I said as she dragged me along with her. "My name is Momo Yushi!" She said quickly, "I'm a player, just like you! My helper is one of the previous players of the game her name is Misaki. You already know about the game right?" I nodded my head and wondered if she came here for the same reason I did or if it was a different reason.

"So what's your name?" She asked

"Kikiyo Kiyosara"

"Where are you from?"

"Canada"

"Ohh that's a nice place... how old are you?"

"14 years old."

"Hey! You're the same age as me!" She exclaimed.

"Really? That's cool." I smiled

"Have you joined the school yet?"

"School?" I wondered

"The ninja school!"

"Oh… No, not yet I think…"

"Hehee well... good luck! Sorry if I was interrupting something earlier! I just really wanted to meet another player!"

"It's ok, thank you. You weren't interrupting anything; it was really nice to meet you." I smiled

She smiled back before running off at full speed and I wondered how she had so much stamina. I returned to the ramen shop only to see Naruto finishing his twelfth bowl of ramen. I looked him up and down, wondering where all that ramen went. He got up, suddenly, and turned towards me "You don't have a place to stay right?" I nodded. "Can you cook and clean?" I nodded again. "Well then you can stay with me!" He smiled. "Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother…" "It's fineee. If you don't mind cooking and cleaning for me then I'll be happy to let you stay with me!" He said chirped happily I looked at him and smiled "Thank you so much, Naruto".

He smiled, "I want ramen everyday!" He exclaimed. Laughing, I asked if he went to ninja school. He replied yes and his whole face brightened up. "I think I might join." He looked at me questioningly "Can you even fight?" He took my small structure, most likely wondering if I could fend for myself. "Of course I can!" I replied. I can't believe he doesn't think I can't fight! I show him! "If you really what to know if I can fight, how about we spar?" I smiled, thinking about the previous fights that happened back in my own world. He looked at me and smiled. I think I am falling for that smile. "I'm not so good at fighting… but I'm good at tag. How about it? If you can catch me before the sun sets, I will believe you. If you can't catch me then you're obviously not good enough." He looked at me stubbornly. Is he trying to keep me from the ninja school? I nodded in agreement, pride clouding my mind. Smiling, he jumped off the ground and landed neatly on top of the closest roof and kept running as I stared at him.

Can I do that too? Yes. Due to this being a different world, the gravitational pull on your body is also different, thus making you able to lift heavier things, jump higher, and more. Also, part of the agreement in the game was that you would be provided anything you needed in the game… Adjustments have been made to your body so you will fit here better. You should have gotten lighter and your muscles should have gotten about 100 times stronger too. You should be able to withstand anything this world throws at you. I smiled at the thought. So I was 100 times stronger huh? That would mean trouble for whoever would want to fight me, Naruto was lucky that all he wanted was to play tag.

I jumped up and to my surprise; I jumped up a lot higher than the roof. I started to fall down and I had to steady myself making sure I didn't fall off the roof. I have to practice this later, I thought to myself. I ran toward the direction that he went to, taking off like a bullet. In my world I was a short-distance runner, not having much stamina, but being this fast was amazing; inhuman actually. Running in this world was so much easier; I got so far without breaking a sweat. I remembered Momo running and I now understood the speed and stamina. I smiled, remembering her; she was defiantly an interesting person. She was a bit hyper and very enthusiastic about the game, but she also had a determined look in her eyes; she defiantly wanted to beat the game.

I spotted Naruto while thinking about Momo. He looked over his shoulder to see where I was and noticed that I was right behind him "H-How'd you get here so fast?" he spluttered. I laughed inwardly at his shocked expression. He sped up and tried to get away from me. Running a bit faster I leaped on his hugging his waist while saying, "Caughtcha!" We both lost our fotting and began plummeting to the ground head first. "Oops" was all I could say as Naruto buried my head in his chest, protecting me from any further injury. It felt so warm and safe that I almost forgot we were falling. Naruto was bracing himself for the impact, when a huge gust of wind swirled around us, stopping out fall centimetres from the ground. It swirled around placing our bodies gently on the ground, before dissipating. I let go of Naruto, causing him to open his eyes. He looked around as surprised as I was. He started asking questions I couldn't answer. Not getting any answers, he quieted. "…Are you hurt?" He asked quietly. "No, I'm not. Thank you Naruto, but I'm not that weak you know." He smiled at my statement. "Okay well you caught me... so I guess you proved that you're good enough to enter my school...however, the Genin exams are coming up in 2 weeks. They decide whether you pass or fail, so it will be hard on you..." he warned me. I simply laughed and said that I would be fine.

We walked to his house, with him telling me all about the school. He told me all about his classmates and his crush, Sakura too. For some reason, when he mentioned her, hearts in his eyes, I felt a squeeze in my heart but all I could do was smile. By the time we had reached his apartment, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. He smiled and swung open the door and I half-expected it to be small and messy. But to my surprise everything was fairly neat and tidy. His front door lead right into his kitchen. His house was much larger than expected and it also had more rooms. He walked into the hallway and disappeared behind a door. I studied his house for a bit and then a thought hit me. If I'm in this world won't I mess up the anime? Or is different from the anime? I asked Isamu. It isn't going to affect the anime. This is a completely different world from yours it is actually in no way connected. He replied lazily. I see so nothing I do will appear in my world. That is correct. I had more to ask but Isamu didn't sound like he was going to answer anymore.

Naruto looked back at me and motioned for me to go where he was. I went over to him and then I saw his room. It was really large, on one side was the bed and on the other side Naruto set up a futon. I looked around, his bed was pretty big, and it took up about two-fifths of the room. Continuing looking at his room, I noted that he also had a small television on top of a small table. Next to the television was a cabinet, which probably held his clothes and on top of the cabinet was a small old-fashioned radio. There was also a mirror and another door. Looking through the window on the door, I saw that it was apparently a balcony. Or an escape route, I thought. He had several posters pinned up on the wall. One of them had the Hidden leaf Village symbol on it and another one had a picture of a cup that was steaming; it looked a bit like a ramen cup. "You can sleep on the bed" he said. Shaking my head, I said "No. You can sleep on the bed; I want to sleep on the futon. I've never slept on one before. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. "Thank you, and sorry for troubling you Naruto, I'll find a place of my own as soon as I can!" I said as happily as I could. "Will you still make me ramen?" he asked. I laughed and nodded.

After eating some instant ramen, we went to sleep. I have to get some money and buy some groceries later. Always eating insta-ramen isn't exactly healthy. I thought. It had been one interesting day. I fell asleep while thinking about what had happened. I only wish I didn't have to do this to you. Why did you click "Yes" on the message?

Naruto: zzzzz...

Kikiyo: *Hugs Naruto like he is a teddy bear and sleeps on him*

Momo: *Laughs evilly* So everyone... Shall we make Kikiyo's life miserable? Or should we set up her and Naruto?... I wonder?

Everyone's thoughts: I didn't know Momo would be evil *sweatdrops*
