Idon't: Happy Birthday Canada!

I don't own anything mentioned.

Matthew's P.O.V.

I sighed and sluggishly got out of bed, noticing that it was July 1st, and quickly a smile arrived on my face. I shrugged on a pair of shorts and headed downstairs, knowing Alfred wasn't up yet. I was shocked when I saw a drowsy, but awake, Alfred standing over the stove, spatula in his hands and a plate of pancakes with syrup and butter beside it.

"Morning Mattie." Alfred said, waving the spatula at me.

"Morning Al, I didn't know you'd be up." I yawned, taking a place at the table.

"Your birthday, I figured we can do something fun today... considering we really haven't done anything fun in a long time." Alfred replied, placing the new pancakes down onto the plate.

Grabbing a few and drenching them in syrup, I mumbled, "Sure, what do you wanna do?"

"Whatever dude, I don't care." He replied, chugging down orange juice.

"The zoo?" I asked, hopeful.

"Sure, I've been dying to go, just didn't wanna go alone." He replied, filling up his orange juice glass.

So, we quickly ate and got dressed. I just quickly threw on a shirt, grabbing my wallet I went downstairs, waiting for Alfred to get down and get into his truck.

The drive was long, but it didn't matter. I happily sprung out of the truck when we arrived. I nearly ran into the zoo, but was stopped by Al when he took us to pay.

As soon as we entered the zoo, I dragged Alfred to the the polar bear exhibit. Frowning that they weren't out Alfred slapped me on the head.

"Mattie, it's July, they wouldn't be out." He said, taking my hand and dragging me away from the area.

I sighed, "True."

We walked some, waving at Emil and his boyfriend Leon who were looking at the puffin exhibit.

We stopped at a dippin' dots stand, standing around eating he brought up the question of Gilbert.

"What do you think of him?" He asked, mouth filled with dots.

"He's a good guy." I replied, smiling at the thought of our little hang thing.

"That's not what I meant? Would your date him?" Alfred asked, looking at me.

"Yes, I would." I replied.

Alfred jumped up and down, chewing on his spoon, "I knew it! I knew it!"

"Stop, you're acting like Felix." I told him and he smiled.

"So Felix knew?" He asked, grabbing my phone out of my pocket and quickly sending a text to Felix.

Felix: Matthew? I didn't know you had a crush on Gilbert! I'm sure Toris and I can quickly set you two up! I mean, you're to adorable to say no to! We can have a double date! Wouldn't that be fun? I'll ask Toris!

I sighed, quickly sending him a text, stating that Alfred had grabbed my phone and to have a good day.

Felix: Whatever broski, Toris said yes btw. Happy birthday btw, from Toris and I.

Closing out of the texting part of my phone I glared at Alfred.

"What?" He asked, still chewing on his spoon.

"I'm going to the store," I said, walking away from him.

I stalked away, causing a kid to ask her mother what's wrong with the man's boyfriend. I sighed and grabbed some money out of my pocket, seeing a stuffed bird I had to smile. It looked like Gilbird. I quickly bought it, sending Alfred a text I told him I'm ready to go.

He met me by the gates, yawning.

"Is it really already five?" He asked. It didn't seem like we spent the whole day there.

"I know," I yawned too.

We climbed into the tuck, the little plush bird laying on my lap. Alfred smiled at it, and I yawned again.

I fell asleep quickly, waking up being carried by Gilbert.

"Keseses, happy birthday Birdie, Alfred told me it was your birthday so I bought this for you." He said, showing me a polar bear stuff animal.

Yawning, I mumbled a thanks. Gilbert laughed as he sat me down on my bed, covering me gently.

"Good night Birdie, even though it's only seven." He whispered, flicking off the lights.

Idon't: I know, I know, not very good, but it's the best I could think of. I started this around four and it's now 9:15, then again, I did play tennis for an hour... ehh.
