A/N: Hi! Sorry for the errors in the last chapter, I'm from America and I wanted to do a kind of scenery I was familiar with.

Also, I have a lot of stories I need to update but I am also in Puerto Rico for the next 2 months, which gives me some time to write, but unfortunately I do not have wifi, which prevents me from fact checking. I only post when I'm able to go to the bakery where they have free Internet connection. Hopefully, more will be coming, thanks for your patience and I hope you like the next chapter! (:

3rd POV

She pushed up her glasses, walking straight through platform 9¾, carrying one luggage that had an enchantment her parents had put in it to fit all in one luggage, just as they did her first year, second year, third year and her fourth year. She grew into habit, casually walking straight for the train's entrance, her black cat with bright yellow eyes following closely behind. Hogwarts was a place of learning for her, and only a place of learning, well for the part years she's gone. This year, this year was going to be completely different. See, she was finally proud to say she was Amelia McCarthy.

She stopped abruptly at her usual booth at the end of the train and turned around going to one of the middle booths. Amelia opened the door to find it empty and sat down, putting her bag above the seat in their respective place. The now confident girl sighed contently before taking off her glasses and slipping on her contacts with a small mirror she had in her pocket. Her red jeans had fit quite uncomfortably this morning, being she'd never had worn this skinny of jeans, but now they fit snug. Her black tank top, which is ripped on the sides, still made her feel a bit exposed and well…chilly. The only reason she had a 'petite' body was because of all her years of ballet, which she didn't feel should be mentioned this year. Once she put away her mirror she heard the door open and laugher fall silent.

Amelia's bright green eyes looked up to see people from her grade and the one above. They're practically famous, well, at least one of them was, the rest we're…Hogwarts famous. In front of her standing and gawking at her were Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and his older brothers Fred and George.

"Hello!" she greeted with a smile, ignoring their shocked looks.

"Hello gorgeous." George replied, sitting down next to the blonde girl.

"Aren't you charming?" Amelia said, laughing as he made a silly face.

"Are you new here?" Hermione asked, sitting adjacent from me as everyone started to sit, Fred next to George and Ron next to Hermione, Harry taking the window seat across from me.

"Uhm, no I'm not new, this is my 4th year actually." she said shyly, it is getting a little embarrassing as they couldn't remember her at all.

"Really? It can't be, I would have noticed a beauty like you, oh wait, are you in Slytherin?" Fred retorts coming to the conclusion of her being in Slytherin was the only thing that could have been the answer.

"What? No! I'm actually in Gryffindor, I was in 3 of your classes last year Hermoine, and 5 of yours Ron." She replied, seeing Ron look over confused she let out a small laugh.

"What?" Hermione said, baffled.

"Yeah, though I have to say the classes I you did have me worried, well expect in Potions." She said will a grin.

"Wait, you're Amelia McCarthy!? You're the one who placed 1st in Potions, over Malfoy?" she asked shocked.

"That'd be me, Snape can't resist my skills." She gloats.

"You beat Hermoine?" asked Harry.

"Well in Potions and Transfiguration, all my other classes I place in 2nd, well besides Charms which I'm horr-" she started, before getting cut off.

"YOU beat HERMOINE?" Harry repeats in shock. Amelia didn't miss when Hermione who rolled her eyes.

"So, Amelia right? How'd you get away from us all these years?" George asked, nudging Amelia.

"Yes, because Merlin knows that they've hit on everyone in the school, Gryffindor or not." Hermione adds, slightly grinning.

"I had a talent for being invisible." She stated cheerfully. The others looked at her with a weird expression.

"Invisible? Like a spell?" Ron asked obliviously.

"Yeah, something like that." She answered, shrugging.

A bell rung from outside the compartment and the door opened.

"Oh, do you want anything guys?" Harry asked, waving the sweet cart over. They all put in their orders and Harry gleefully got ready to pay before he turned towards Amelia.

"Do you want anything?" he asked, kindly. Amelia looked puzzled at the idea, she hadn't ever bought anything from the sweet cart, not only because her mom, having hopes of her becoming graceful and elegant like her, had signed her up for ballet and kept her to her diet, but also because buying sweets seemed boring without anyone to eat them with.

"Y-yeah, can I have a chocolate frog?" she stuttered giving him a smile as he handed her one and paid. Soon everyone started to make conversation, Amelia ending up talking to Ron and Harry about quidditch while Hermione read.

"The train is almost here, we should all get changed." Hermione said, closing her book and standing.

"Yeah, so you girls, out!" Fred teases.

"What about you guys leaving?" Amelia retorts, before getting playfully pushed out after George got her school uniform out of her bag by using 'Accio uniform'.

"Hey! No magic outside of school!" Hermione says through the door before groaning and motioning Amelia to follow her down the train to the girls' dressing rooms. They walked in silence and changed, Hermione still fuming.

Amelia slipped off her red pants replacing it with a standard black pleated skirt that when neatly over her ripped black tank top, resting at her waist and ending about an inch above her knees. She then put on her white cardigan with Gryffindor colors already accented in the article of clothing, with the seal of the lion embroidered on the side. Amy had personally turned the black cardigan, white. She stepped out to see Hermione wearing the same skirt of course, but she had gone with the sweater vest and white button down for the first day.

"Aren't you supposed to wear a white button down with a black cardigan?" Hermione asked smartly.

"Well, yeah but I like this better I don't think anyone will notice. I mean I didn't wear the uniform last year to a T and no one said anything." She answered as they both slipped on their black school shoes.

"Yeah, but this year you'll probably get a lot of attention, I mean…look at you." Hermione said, started to walk back to the compartment.

To be honest, Amelia hadn't really thought about how different school life would be, she knew she'd get more attention but what else would change with it, she didn't know. Once they got in front of the compartment it slammed open and someone slammed straight into Amelia, bringing her to the ground.

"Watch where you're going!" Draco sneered without looking down to see her.

'Why was he even in there?' Amelia wondered as she got up and dust herself off, with help from Hermione.

"Did that prat just push you down?" Harry said coming to the door and gesturing for the girls to go inside.

"Yeah, but it's fine, I'm sure he didn't mean to." Amelia answered, taking one last glance at the back of Draco's head. He also changed a lot during the summer. Yes, his attitude was still present, but there was no denying that when he ditched the slicked back hair that he looked a lot better. Not that Amelia was concerned, he was still a big jerk, but she was sure he has his reasons.

"Yeah right, you were on the ground for Merlin's sake!" George says, shaking his head.

"I'm fine no worries!" Amelia replies, getting her bag as the train came to a halt.

0000000000000000000000000000

Amelia does share a room with Hermione Granger, Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil and Fay Dunbar. It seemed like Hermione had already been there and put down her stuff, as opposed to Fay Dunbar who was still putting her stuff away. The brown haired girl looking over, her straight hair tied up in a ponytail.

"Are you in the wrong room?" Fay asked, looking at Amelia curiously.

"No, I'm not." She answered, putting down her luggage on her bed, located closest to the door. She could admit, she didn't spend a lot of time in her room, most of the time she was exploring the castle. She was surprised that she'd never gotten caught, but what else was there to do?

Fay tilted her head and slowly nodded, assumingly putting the pieces together in her head, she then went back to unpacking, humming a song to herself.

Since the older students got to the school long before the first years did, due to the fact that they were in boats taking the more scenic root, the older students were told to put there luggage's into their rooms before heading down to the Great Hall for the Welcoming Feast. Amelia calmly walked down the staircase and into the common room, she was about to start to make her way to the feast before she heard a voice behind her.

"Look who it is, are we going to make a habit out of running into each other?" Fred says coming down the boys dormitory stairs, George beside him, Amelia simply smiled and shrugged.

"Here's hoping." she said, crossing her fingers and holding them up, starting to get out of the portrait door.

If only they knew how true that was, after even there train ride her urge to become friends with someone other than her cousin had grown dramatically, she didn't want to go back to being lonely and invisible to everyone.

"That makes both of us." George said with a wink as they caught up with her, pushing the common room door open.

"So you're in ickle ronnykins grade right?" Fred said as the trio continued down the staircases, obviously due to Amelia's perfect timing, just as they got to the next staircase the one behind them rotated, taking some Gryffindor students that were trailing behind them the wrong way.

"Yes I am, although I don't know if I'm due for teasing you are just two measly years ahead of me." Amelia answered smoothly, she noticed many students going into the Great Hall, chattering about as they all got to their tables, separated by houses, all having an empty space at the end of the wooden table, where the new first years would be held, although oddly enough at the end of the tables there was a big empty space where no one was sitting.

"Amy?" Kyle asked from the 7th year section as Amelia passed.

"Kyle, hi!" Amelia greeted as Fred and George waved goodbye, going over to their fellow 6th years to start sitting for the feast.

"How are you? You've grown over the summer." Kyle asked, a smile growing on his face as he noted that she had walked in with someone instead of by herself.

"Kyle, who are you talking to?" one of his friends from the left asked, looking away from the group that was previously engaged in a conversation.

"Oh, right, this is my cousin Amy." He introduced, looking over at his friend.

"It's Amelia actually, it's nice to meet you." She corrects, waving over to the boy.
"H-hey." The boy said, his eyebrows rising as he looked from Kyle to her. Kyle ran a hand through his dark brown hair, shaking his head at his friend.

"We'll talk more later alright Amy?" Kyle asked, looking pointedly at his friend, who was blatantly still looking from Kyle to Amelia.

"Yeah, alright." she answered curtly.

That's right, her cousin, Kyle, he's a good guy really, even when she was completely anti-social he still urged her to talk to someone, when she didn't, he kind of became her best friend. As pathetic as that may seem, it was all she really needed, just one person to want her to be there, even if he was her older cousin who had an annoying little sister who would put peanut butter in her hair, unfortunately she'll be starting school next year. Thankfully Kyle gets out, but Amelia still has to suffer by having the spawn of Satan in the same school as herself.

"Amelia, over here!" Harry called over; Harry Potter was calling her over to sit with him and his friends, is this even possible? Just in case it was, Amelia calmly walked over to seize the moment and as Hermione patted the empty seat beside her she promptly sat down, while of course screaming on the inside.

"We saved you a spot." Ron said proudly, she said her thanks smiling as him and Hermione started to bicker about whose idea it really was.

"I'm just thankful someone thought of the idea," she answered truthfully as they both looked towards her.

"Well, it should be nice having someone that cares about grades as much as I do, and you will help me in Transfiguration right?" she asked, looking over to Amelia, who quickly nodded.

"As long as you'll help me in Charms of course." She added, soon enough her and Hermione started to chat about there different study habits.

"Classes haven't even started yet though you both want to talk about them, we haven't even got our time tables yet." Ron complained, looking as if he wanted to bang his head against the table, he looked to his best friend for support. Instead, Harry just shrugged and seemed to busy looking over to the Ravenclaw table to do what Ron wanted.

"I'm sorry Ronald that I actually want to do well this semester." Hermione retorted sharply.

"You do well every semester, Hermione!"

"That doesn't come without work! Maybe if you clean up your act this semester you can actually do something with yourself! Then you wonder why you don't understand the work, maybe if you did a little reading once in a while then you…" Hermione started, lecturing Ron, who had a scared look on his face. Amelia smiled as she saw Harry roll his eyes, finally looking over at the table instead of Ravenclaws.

Soon enough they did stop bickering, directly before Dumbledore stepped op to his pedestal and began his 'beginning of the year' speech. Everyone went silent as he opened his mouth to begin to talk.

A/N: I know crappy way to end it but yeah sorry alright bye.

Reviews:

LovelyLoonyLeotine: First off, thank you for reviewing and I wrote this story a bit on the whim so unfortunately I didn't do a lot of research and just wanted somewhere that was familiar to me. Since I live close to Palisades and had recently been there at the time, I kind of just threw it in, but thank you for letting me know and I'll keep that in mind for future parts and such! (:xx

Guest: thank you and I will!

Kairi6045: Thank you! I'll try to update now with my free time!
