A/N: This is an odd prompt placement for this character, but this is what came to mind. Oh well. And I'm not quite sure what my point of view is for this (this is too short for that to really matter, I think) but I put "his" anyways.
It was an odd thought to have, yet once it entered his brain, he couldn't simply push it away. No, he had to contemplate on its oddity.
"This will be my last summer in Amestris."
Envy didn't really have any emotional attachment to Amestris nor the season of summer, and he didn't feel sad. Not sad, accomplished. This was the end and they were so close to succeeding that Envy could smell it, feel it, and it sent chills down his spine.
What they would do after Father had completed everything, Envy didn't know. Move on to other countries. What more was there left to conquer once you are God? Envy waved the thought off. "Well," Envy thought, "No matter. Father will take care of it." They need to focus on what they were to do now.
This was everyone else in Amestris' last summer as well, they just didn't know it.
And Envy laughed.
