A/N: Hey everyone! I'm so sorry this took such a long time to post. For some reason I kept writing an ending, scrapping it, re-writing it, and scrapping it again. I can tell you one thing, writer's block sucks! But anyways I hope you enjoy this last chapter! It takes place about a month after the previous one.

Epilogue:

"David!"

"David!"

"David, watch this!" Henry shouted as he took a big leap and did a cannonball into the pool.

Moments later a dripping wet Henry splashed to the surface looking around to see if his stepdad had been watching.

"Very good Henry! That was the biggest splash I've ever seen." David grinned, loving the boy's enthusiasm for everything.

"You think so?!" Henry yelled proudly.

"Absolutely. You could be a professional cannonballer someday."

"That's not a real job you know."

"Who says?"

"Everyone." Henry swam towards the edge of the pool and hung on to the side, a huge smile on his face.

David crouched in front of him. "I've never heard anyone say that."

"Well... that's because everyone just knows."

"Really?"

"Yup." Henry playfully splashed some water up at David.

"Hey!" David laughed, raising his arms to block the rain of pool water that now plummeted towards him. "Okay, I see how it is."

He stood up and ran towards the house, emerging a few moments later with the garden hose.

Henry's face lit up in surprise. "No! That's cheating!"

David squeezed the nozzle on the hose so a small amount of water shot out and splashed down around Henry.

"Aghhhh!" Henry shouted. "It's cold!"

"Oh is it? I'm sorry I had no idea!" David sprayed some more water over the eleven year old who couldn't help but laugh even harder as the freezing water rained on his head. He saw another stream of water shooting towards him and he dived under the water, his feet kicking up after him and barely missing the fresh wave of icy water. When he emerged a few meters away, he looked impressed with his own technique.

A second later he was drenched with yet another waterfall.

"ARGHHHH!" He shouted in delight. "Okay you win! YOU WIN!" He held his hands up in front of his face in surrender.

David laughed as he dropped the hose onto the ground.

"What are you two doing out here?" Regina shut the French doors behind her and stepped out onto the patio. She beamed as she saw the joy on both her husband's and son's faces. She had Kaelyn in one arm, now four months old, and they were both dressed in their swimsuits. Regina had a dark purple cover-up on over hers and Kaelyn's was pink and blue with a little tutu around the waist.

"Just messing around." David said, placing a hand on her waist as he leaned in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"That I can see." She smirked, patting his cheek with the palm of her hand.

Regina moved towards the pool. She slid on her sunglasses as she stepped out of the shade provided by the house and into the warm summer sunlight. Her son was hanging onto the side of the pool again, still grinning.

"Henry are wearing sunscreen?"

"Yes mom."

"That's my boy." She tossed him his snorkel which he had forgotten on the kitchen counter and he caught it with both hands.

"Thanks!" He grabbed his goggles from the edge of the pool and then put them both on. He dove back into the water to see how long he could swim before he needed to come up for proper air, rather than air coming through a plastic tube.

Regina couldn't help but laugh as she watched him swimming around, the snorkel cutting through the water like a shark fin. Kaelyn had picked up on the rest of the family's excitement and babbled away happily. Regina looked fondly down at the baby as she felt her husband's arm encircle her waist.

"That is something I am truly happy to hear." He said softly into her ear.

"What's that?"

"Your laughter. It's the most beautiful sound in the world."

She turned to fully face him. "You're a big softy, did you know that?" She teased. "And you know what?"

"What?"

She leaned closer, "I think you're full of it."

"But you love me anyways," he said playfully, leaning down to kiss her. His lips had almost reached hers when he felt a tiny pudgy hand collide with his chin. "Ouch!" He scrunched up his face in mock pain. "Kaelyn don't hit daddy." He tickled her hand lightly. The baby seemed overjoyed at her accomplishment.

Regina was laughing again. "You see? Even Kaelyn agrees with me." She said, gazing with shining eyes at the baby who looked so happy. Kaelyn's hand reached up again and before Regina could stop her, Kaelyn had swiped at her mother's expensive sunglasses, knocking them downwards. Regina grabbed for them but it was too late, they fell downwards, smacking on the stone patio and falling into the pool.

"Uh-oh... Told you you shouldn't spend so much on a pair of shades." David said, examining the depths of the water.

Regina had watched with shock as the glasses sunk to the bottom of the deep end, but moments later she was giggling into her hand, shaking her head.

Henry surfaced again and pulled the snorkel and goggles off. "Hey Mom did you know your sunglasses are at the bottom of the pool?"

"Yes dear I did." Regina said in amusement.

"Do you want me to go get them for you?"

"Thank you Henry that would be great."

Henry turned over and swam to the bottom of the pool to rescue the Burberry sunglasses. When he emerged, the accessory was pebbled with water droplets but miraculously unscathed.

"Oh Kaelyn you got lucky." David kissed the top of his daughter's head as Regina wiped the lenses on her robe.

"So, you guys coming in?" Henry asked.

"Sure thing buddy." David said. He slipped off his shirt and jumped into the pool, Henry excitedly swimming after him.

Regina placed Kaelyn down on a lounge chair and then slid off the cover-up to reveal the black bathing suit underneath. Scooping up Kaelyn once more, she headed towards the shallow end to take the staircase into the pool. Henry and David swam to meet them and Kaelyn happily reached out towards them.

"Can I take her mom?" Henry asked.

"Alright, but be careful." Regina warned as she cautiously handed the baby over to him.

"I will."

"And stay in the shallow end."

"I know mom."

"And make sure her head doesn't go under the water."

"Okay mom."

Regina sighed, but as she watched Henry carefully bouncing his sister around in the water and helping her pretend to swim, she was satisfied that he would take good care of the baby.

Regina waded over to David and stood behind him. She wrapped her arms around the front of his chest and pressed her cheek against his arm as they watched their children playing. Henry was talking to Kaelyn non-stop and Kaelyn was happily making incoherent noises, she seemed to be enjoying herself immensely.

David turned around to look at Regina.

"It's such a beautiful day isn't it?" Regina said, her arms reaching up and her hands clasping behind his neck.

He placed his hands on her waist. "It sure is my dear."

He couldn't stop smiling as he felt the happiness practically radiating off of his wife. It was such a difference from only a few weeks ago when she had been so scared and fragile and David had felt so helpless.

"Hey, how about we try for that kiss again?" David suggested.

Regina's lips pursed, as if she was considering it. Her eyes flashed mischievously as she stepped closer into his embrace.

She smiled widely before reaching up to meet his lips, sharing a long passionate kiss. She felt his hand in her hair and his other arm tightened around her. Her own arms lowered to hold on to his shoulders.

Just as they were about to break apart for air they were both showered with water droplets.

"Gross!" Henry shouted.

Regina and David looked at him, momentarily surprised, but then they both burst out laughing and resumed making-out just to tease Henry.

"Guuuys stop it!" Henry said, breaking between them while trying extremely hard not to laugh too.

Regina took Kaelyn from him and happily hugged her as Henry climbed onto David's back.

David pretended to try to throw Henry off of him and Henry held on for dear life.

"Noooooo!" The boy squealed.

Regina made her way to the steps to keep out of the line of fire. She took a seat and left only her legs in the water so that the waves David and Henry were making wouldn't go over Kaelyn. The baby in question was reaching towards the water trying to grasp it, but her mother made sure she didn't get too close. When the baby had finally grown bored of trying to play with the water, Regina held her close against her chest. Kaelyn's cheek rested against her mother's shoulder and Regina held one of Kaelyn's delicate hands in her own.

Sitting here, holding her baby close to her heart and watching her family having such a good time, Regina couldn't think of a better way to enjoy this perfect summer afternoon.
