Chief Lin Bei Fong was just about to sign off and head home when an alert came through, a dock wear-house was on fire and the triad were on site stirring it up with the fire fighting unit, they were calling for police assistance, the building was coming down and there were people inside, Lin forgot about going home for the moment, there were more pressing matters, she took two of her best platoons and headed out.
The dock scene was madness, fire blazed and water churned, but neither side was winning, several people lay unmoving on the wooden planks and brick docks, the heat radiating from the burning building could be felt from several paces away, the roar of fire was doing its best to drown out the shouts and cries from inside the building; a handful of different voices calling for help from within the blaze, drown and distorted by the sounds of battle all around, faces illuminated by the firelight.
The Metal Bending Unit of Republic City stepped up.
Fire, earth and water battled metal for a few heated moments, then one by one the Metal benders caught the upper hand.
The chief wasn't stupid, she knew that the triad was stalling, they weren't fighting for any motive Lin knew off other than preventing the fire from being put out, she grabbed a fallen water bender from the fire fighting unit up by the collar, and shoved him towards the inferno, "put that out now" she ordered, hear voice ruff. Bei Fong watched this benders back while they tried to douse the blaze with the surrounding water, "form a barrier men!" The chief yelled, her benders following orders grabbed a water bender each and followed the chiefs example, together they formed a semicircle around the blaze, one row of metal benders fighting off the triad, another row of water benders fighting the flames.
back up arrived in the form of two more metal bending platoons which effectively ended the fighting, suddenly the triad members all had somewhere to go and they desperately needed to get there.
The buildings roof creaked and began to cave, wires shot out all around grabbing plants of wood and holding the building upright, two men in earthen robes came running out of the building, scorched and charred, a small group of water benders ran into the blaze, whiling water around them like a sphere, they came back out moments later dragging a fire-bender and carrying a small unconscious dark haired form, Lin's breath caught, her heart gave a jump of recognition.

(AN/ hey guys guess who's back! so lately I've been working really hard on putting there last couple scenes together, the warehouse scene was a total writers block, because I just had so many different views and variations of it in my head I couldn't get one out. it's not as actiony or detailed as i'd have like to have done it but still.
I think after being inactive for so long now I will need a new beta -part of the reason I've been inactive anyway- so if anyone wants to volunteer there awesome talents I'd appreciate it)
