"Here's the plan."
The Smashers gathered around Meta-Knight's control board. They were discussing plans on how to infiltrate the system. R.O.B explained the blueprints with Mr. Game and Watch, Pikachu, and Snake: all of them who were former associates with Subspace Army, or who were there at a convenient time when some of the members were talking about plans.
"Alright, we know that the Subspace Emissary is within that purple sphere." R.O.B said.
"We also know that there's a giant cannon within the former factory, which was consumed by Subspace." said Mr. Game and Watch, acting as Pikachu's translator.
"So we can conclude that a) the cannon has disappeared, or b) the cannon is large enough to avoid Subspace." Concluded Snake.
"We must be prepared to take the cannon down, before we enter in the Subspace." said R.O.B. Meta-Knight came up-stage to explain a plan he's been formulating.
"Alright, listen up, before I speak, I must ask you all something: Do you guys have any Banana Yogurt left?" Meta-Knight asked. No one replied since most of the Banana Yogurt melted or were vacuumed in the giant explosion on the Isle of the Ancients.
"Oops, that was for my workers, they have recreated the mess hall and I wanted a large supply of Banana yogurt. But, that aside..." Meta-Knight brought down a diagram, showing the Halbred and some of the Smasher's air-crafts within the large air-ship.
"Look, the cannon is going to shoot us, so, we need a plan to get off of here, when it explodes. Luckily, some of us have our own machines to fly out in case the Halbred blows. So I want everyone to get into their ships when the Halbred is under attack. Am I clear?" The Smashers nodded in union to make their point.
As the Smashers have proved, the huge Subspace rift allowed the Subspace Gunship to emerge into the World of Trophies.
"I told you Mr. Anderson." said Mr. Game and Watch to his fellow Smashers.
"How does the damn cannon work?" asked Bowser. He and Ganondorf were tasked of setting up the Subspace Cannon while Master Hand went to attend to other plans.
"I don't know, I was never in the technological area. If only Wario was here, he'd know how to set up the cannon." fumed Ganondorf. As they were reading the manual, Bowser pressed the red button and it fired at a distance. One moment, there was a flash, which was replaced by a purple sphere.
"Quick, whenever we see someone, we hit the purple sphere." said Bowser. Ganondorf and Bowser shot the cannon everywhere, even at Bob, who was cruising the sea. The two had some laughs out of it, then went back to their positions. As the two were settling down, a glint came into their eyes.
"Everyone, ready!"
Smashers huddled by each other as they neared the Subspace Base. The Falcon Flyer contained most of the Smashers who couldn't fly, which was very odd since Fox and Red had their own means of traveling, but they deemed it as a dangerous choice, since the cannon had several turrets, and it was likely that one of them could fall. Meta-Knight was to stay on-board the Halberd, because he knows how to man the ship, and can disappear inside one of the ships.
The Halberd was near the cannon when it fired upon them. By Ganondorf's command, and Bowser's bias of pushing the red button, the hundreds of enormous turrets lining the Gunship open fire on the Halberd all at once. Meta-Knight was not nervous as his beloved ship took many hits. At last, with one great hit, a beam hit the center of the ship, destroying it ultimately.
"Haha, we have destroyed the world's greatest heroes. We're unstoppable now!" the two kings said triumphantly. It was too soon, as our heroes had a plan. Out of the ruble came four air-crafts, zooming in at the cannon. Captain Falcon's Falcon Flyer emerged from the flames, with Samus's bounty hunter ship, Falco's Airwing, and Captain Olimar's Hocotate rocket. Turrets fired at them, missing every-time. Then Kirby, piloting the assembled Dragoon pieces from the Halbred, came through the center of the canon. The odds were in our heroes favor as a Roman Chior sang their theme song while they advanced. The two kings, now seeing that they needed a plan, must come back to their inky domain. The pilot's successfully reach their destination, but Olimar, almost landed into the watery depths, due to economic reasons on Hocotate.
Now inside the realm of Subspace, the combined force of Smashers - Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Yoshi, Link, Zelda, Samus, Pit, Ice Climbers, R.O.B., Kirby, Meta Knight, Captain Olimar, Fox, Falco, Captain Falcon, Pikachu, Red, Lucario, Marth, Ike, Lucas, Mr. Game & Watch, and Snake - begin their exploration of the realm of darkness. They walked through one path, straight path, until a junction was formed, splitting the road. The obvious choice was to split up, but neither one was willing to take that choice.
"We'll split up: I will take Captain Falcon, Diddy Kong, Mr. Game and Watch, Olimar, Fox, Pikachu, Red, Donkey Kong, Ike, Lucas, Falco, Pit and Samus." said Mario.
"And I will take the rest of the people." said Kirby. The two groups split up, trusting their fate towards the darkness.
Ganondorf and Bowser are on their way to report to Master Hand. They had a few laughs, making fun of Jo, the new guy who had two-ply stuck to his foot. But this was all short lived as Ganondorf decides that now is the time to go through with his intended plan.
"Hey Bowser, I think I left a rupee on the floor, do you mind picking it up?" Ganondorf deceivingly said. Bowser, thinking that he's friends with Ganondorf, now they're friends on Facepage, does so willingly. Ganondorf silently brings the last Dark Cannon out, and shoots it at Jeff, before shooting it at Bowser, who cursed at Ganondorf, saying something to un-friend him.
As Bowser's trophy is left behind to be consumed in Subspace, Ganondorf travels to face Master Hand's office in person.
"Boss, you called?" said Ganondorf.
Immediately sees the chains of light binding Master Hand, and looks upon the Tabuu for the first time.
"Wait, what happened to Master Hand?" asked Ganondorf.
"Fools. I have deceived you I am Tabuu, the true master of this realm." he said.
"Tabuu, I know you! I read books about you back in Hyrule. The tyrant, the original master before Master Hand and Crazy Hand took over." said Ganandorf.
"True, but I created you, for I have created your two Hands, before they revolted against me. Crazy Hand and Master Hand used you Smashers to unite against me, but I have wiped your minds clean during the after-math, so battles will continue." said Tabuu.
"Speaking of Crazy Hand, what happened to him. He kept you under control."
"Crazy Hand was weak. I have deceived him, just as I deceived you."
"Crazy Hand was never weak. He never understood his true power." said a faint Master Hand.
"Shut IT!" Tabuu yelled.
Shock and anger flew into Ganondorf. He had respected Master Hand for years. When he was recruited, he knew that the Master was different, so he came to investigate the matter himself, by willingly destroying anything in his path. Now that Tabuu was the true, cruel master, Ganondorf took a leap of faith, and punched the being. Tabuu deflected him without effort, and Ganondorf was trophized instantly.
Master Hand was broken free, blood dripping down on his pale skin. He formed a fist, and punched Tabuu. Tabuu deflected the hand like a doll, flinging him next to Ganondorf. Master Hand passed out, and blood in him ran cold.
"Now that these pests are out of the way, I'll take care of the other slime in my world." said Tabuu.
Mario's group
Mario led his large party through his part of the Subspace Emissary. Storms flashed in and out of their sight. They fought through Primids, and others. It was relatively easy, at first, but a sinister laugh came. Tabuu appeared in front of them, releasing a hoard of enemies on them.
"There's too much!" stated Falco.
"Peppy, you better not make any references to Star Fox!" yelled Fox, to a vast canyon of darkness. Enemies were swarming with red glares in their eyes. The Smashers were surrounded.
"Someone has to sacrifice themselves, for the greater good." Mario glumly said. No one shifted, until Samus came up and shot enemies down.
"Go on without me!" she yelled. The enemies now fought her, ignoring the others. They ran ahead, not looking back. A loud scream was heard, but the source was unseen. Where Samus once stood, was replaced by a trophy. Lucas ran, not ahead, but back, to the enemies. Using all his Chi, he sped to the enemies. The party left without him, advancing.
"We can't leave the guy like that. He has honor." said Pit.
"You never leave a solider behind. First rule of combat." said Falco. They left the party, to back-up Lucas. More screams were heard. Then, Lucas came running, panting. Diddy Kong and and Watch gave him some food to regenerate health.
"What happened?" asked Mario.
"Falco and Pit. They sacrificed themselves for me." Lucas said, before falling. Silence came within the group. Nothing was heard but thunderstikes. The heroes rested, but they couldn't stay for long. The Subspace Army was tracking them, and they didn't want a repeat of last time.
"We'll have to move out. But, we need someone to watch our backs. Lucas, will you do it, for us?" Mario asked.
"I will." said Lucas. This kid wasn't the same one who ran away from Wario. He's the one who knows how justice will be served. The party advanced without Lucas, who stayed behind to fend off more enemies. In an instant, a scream was heard.
The thunder stopped, but the Subspace Army has struck them, with off-waves. Tabuu appeared, once again and sprouted wings. They formed a radiant glow, and shot them towards the Smashers. Most of them jumped, but Donkey Kong and Ike were hit and were flung across the Subspace as they were trophized.
"That ain't fair. Come back you!" yelled Red, who rode on Charizard. Pikachu hung on Charizard's tail, as Red commanded the large, orange Dragon towards Tabuu. The Smashers stared at them, but continued on, as a scream and a thunderbolt marking the scream were heard. Only 7 Smashers remained from Mario's group. They were closely grouped together, with Marth fending off most of the attacks.
"先に私たちの大変な時期があります。" said Marth. Only Mr. Game and Watch understood what he meant.
"There will be tough times ahead of us." translated Mr. Game and Watch to his friends. They went on, until Marth stopped. He fell, as he was stuck to the heart with a beam. He transformed into a trophy, with an engraving on it.
'Those who avenge me are my brothers. Those who betray are enemies.'
"It's funny, how it's in English, not Japanese." said Olimar, which got a couple of laughs out of the group. They went on, with that small ray of hope within them. They took turns, acting as the front. They reached a minefield, in which Fox disabled quickly, but they reformed. Thinking that he missed, he disabled them again, but they reformed.
"Let me try." said Olimar. The small captain lunged a Yellow Pikmin, at it. It seemed to work, but the mines exploded, striking Captain Olimar and Fox at the same time.
"Are you two okay?" asked Mario.
"I'm okay, it's just that the idiot in the glass bowl set off the mines!" yelled Fox.
"Well, at least I finished them off. You did nothing to disarm it!" Captain Olimar yelled back. Fox brought out his blaster, while Captain Olimar brought out Pikmin of all types. The two stared at each other, as if it was a Mexican stand-off. Then the rumbled off into the distance, not to be seen until screams were made from both Smashers. Mario's group hurried now, avoiding enemies, bottomless voids, and traps. They stopped, making sure no one followed them, and sat.
"Look how far we went." commented Mr. Game and Watch.
"We lost a lot of people: first Samus, then Falco and Pit." said Diddy Kong.
"Then brave Lucas, Ike, and Donkey Kong." said Captain Falcon.
"Why did it have to be Uncle Donkey Kong?" moaned Diddy Kong.
"Red, Pikachu, Marth, and finally Fox and Olimar." finished Mario. The four smashers started singing a song in Latin:
Ut biberent cum dies
Ut ad vitam, quam olim
In memoriam amicitiae numquam moriuntur dicere
Sit vinum amicitia nunquam arescit
Hic mihi hic tibi
The 4 remaining Smashers lay down to rest for a while before meeting with the other group. It was only for a few minutes they had rested until trouble crept in. Suddenly, a wall was formed around Mr. Game and Watch, entrapping the digital man. He couldn't get out of it, as he was a 2-D figure.
"Go on without me. I'll be okay." he said, before the Subspace Army caught him. Mr. Game and Watch made a crackling sound, and silence.
Mario, Captain Falcon and Diddy Kong rushed forward. They were going too fast and crashed into a Primid, which shot down Captain Falcon, as he attempted the Falcon Punch. Diddy Kong shot a peanut into the Primid's hole, and it exploded Shadow Bugs. With Diddy Kong and Mario left, the two ran forward, where they met Tabuu for the final time.
"So, only two remain. How sad." he said.
"Shut it, Tabuu. We don't need your non-sense." said Mario.
"Oh, well maybe this non-sense will change your mind." He disappeared, and in his spot, came Princess Peach and Donkey Kong. The two Smashers moved forward, but Tabuu had made an illusion of the two Smashers. From above, he readied his wings to make off-waves, to knock the two off. As Diddy Kong and Mario crept forward, Tabuu released the waves, knocking Diddy Kong off. Mario jumped in time, and avoided petrifaction.
"Oh, it looks like your all alone, Mario." said Tabuu.
"Stop taunting me!" yelled Mario. He jumped, and attempted to attack Tabuu, but the blue man knocked him away, turning Mario into a trophy. Silence came. No more Smashers in this part.
"Now to pick off the other group, one-by-one." Tabuu evilly said, teleporting to somewhere else.
Kirby's group
Kirby was leading his group, consisting of: Princess Peach, Zelda, Meta-Knight, Link, Yoshi, Lucario, R.O.B, Ice Climbers, and Snake. It was a small group, as there were only 11 Smashers. They faced minimal challenges, as Snake, Link, and Lucario took out most of them. Then, there were 5 paths in the road. Each of them lead to a different area of the Subspace.
"We'll have to split up, again." said Kirby. "I'll take Snake on path 5. Peach and Zelda will be together on path 1. Meta-Knight's solo, taking path 2. R.O.B and the Ice Climbers go to path 4. Lucario, Link, and Yoshi take Path 3." The team said their good-byes to each other, as they ventured towards their path of the Subspace.
Zelda and Peach
Zelda and Peach strolled along the first part. They faced enemies ferociously and they continued on in their journey to meet up with the others. The weather didn't help as thunder struck the endless subspace. It was late, and the two princesses were tired of walking. They sat down, and started a conversation.
"I wish Mario's okay." said Peach. They had parted, not wanting for it to happen. Peach thought that Mario was tired of her, but it was only due to 'strategic thinking' as Mario put it.
"You shouldn't be worried. He's a veteran fighter, like Link. They clashed together Hand to Sword. Though, I don't know why Link has so many bruises to the everything." said Zelda.
"You think?"
"Definitely. Besides, they're equals. If you see Mario, then you'll see Link." The two princesses, now rested, walked on towards the endless Subspace road. It wasn't long though, as trouble came, Zelda and Peach were confronted by Tabuu. They didn't recognize him, and Tabuu took the chance to petrify them. They were split up, and they were turned into trophies, instantly.
Meta-Knight's POV:
As I fled towards the darkness, I had my trusty sword Galaxia, with me. It was sharpened, ready to take vengeance on those two blockheads who thought they ran the world. I cut my enemies at lightning speed, with my Jazz band playing my theme song. It was too good to last, a blue figure, appeared up to me, and released mines, everywhere. They were no ordinary mine shells, as they followed my every movement. They even predicted where I was going to teleport to, and that's highly unpredictable. I escaped them though, and they were quickly disappeared, replaced by a radiant wave. I was struck, and I was turned into a trophy, as I fell. I screamed, but I couldn't feel my mouth talk. As my body numbed, I couldn't flap my wings, or use my sword the fend myself. I fell, and I transformed into a trophy, and I fell asleep.
Lucario, Link and Yoshi:
Lucario, Link, and Yoshi walked towards their portion of the path, invisible to their companions. Link tried riding on Yoshi, like Epona. Yoshi bucked off Link multiple times. Lucario was chuckling at his companions. The three of them fought their way towards the end without problems. Their trail lead to a cliff, which showed nothing but a vast void. The three of them thought of turning back, but the road the once walked one, was gone.
"Dare to drop?" asked Link.
"Over my dead body." said Lucario.
"Well, let's do it!" said Yoshi. The green dinosaur dragged the two along, flying. Yoshi almost made the platform, but ended up lying on an invisible floor. Then, the pathway lit up, revealing the pathway to the other-side. The three walked slowly, in case there were other traps. They made it safely, except that the path disappeared, and was replaced by blocks. The three were then separated by force into different areas. Then, the walls closed, and they were trapped in separate cubes. Then, Tabuu filled them with enemies, all of them too powerful to take alone. The three heroes ended up defeated, and transformed into trophies.
R.O.B and the Ice Climbers:
The three Smashers trekked their way through the empty substance. Guided by R.O.B.'s laser beams, the three carefully traversed the haunted Subspace.
"I wish we had some more people." said R.O.B.
"Hey, there's three of us, right?" said Nana.
"No, I only see two." said R.O.B. "Me, and the Ice Climbers."
"But, the Ice Climbers are made up of two ice climbers, not one." said Popo.
"I only see two."
"Hey, just because they are controlling us, doesn't mean I always follow where Popo goes. Have you thought how weird that would be? It gives me the chills." Popo and Nana followed R.O.B. through the twisted road. The road disappeared, leaving visible platforms to their eyes.
"Tributes?" offered R.O.B
"I would." jumped in Popo.
"Not me." said Nana. The two fought each other, for control of the force. The Wii remote crashed, and Popo and Nana were stuck in one space.
"Geez, I guess I have to go first." said R.O.B. He hovered over the platforms, but as soon as his after burners died, he landed on a platform, which disappeared instantly. R.O.B thought he was finished, as it was an illusion. Then, the master of Illusions, Tabuu, appeared, and sneaked up on R.O.B.
The robot screamed, " 01101110 01101111!" as he was turned into a trophy.
"R.O.B!" yelled the twins. Struggling to move, the twins hopped up to R.O.B, except they failed and fell to the inky darkness, transforming into a trophy, as they landed on a platform.
Kirby and Snake:
The remaining Smashers, Kirby and Snake, were well equipped for this mission. Kirby could vacuum anything in his mouth, while Snake had his cardboard box.
"Alright, the Gray Hound should attack us any moment now, so we should be prepared." said Snake.
"On it." said Kirby. The pink Kirby vacuumed a Scope Primid, and acquired a green suit, with a sniper.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!"
The two sneakily went past guards, including Henry, the 5-star watch guard. The two went pass without any encounter of Tabuu. They reached the bosses lair, where Tabuu laid.
"On the count of three, we charge in, and attack the bastard once and for all." said Snake.
"Screw-attack that. Leroy Jenkins!" yelled Kirby. Tabuu was started by the sudden noise, as he was playing Majong with his fellow CEOs Parry and John Smith.
"Well, well, well. Congratulations you two. You have beat the game." said Tabuu.
"Really?" asked Kirby.
"Not you, you pink cupcake. I meant my fellow CEOs. Good game." Tabuu said.
"See you at TGIS?" asked Parry.
"Totally. And John, give Larry a raise." said Tabuu.
"Will do, sir." cried John Smith. The two waved Tabuu good-bye, and Tabuu closed the doors on the remaining Smashers.
"As for you two, you failed. Your friends are gone, and they're captured, and guarded by my most trustful minions." said Tabuu.
"You will pay for this, Tabuu. The Soviet Union will pay for what they have done." said Snake. Tabuu was confused by this, as he was not used to Snake's kind.
"No, you will pay, for trespassing on my domain." said Tabuu. He shot off-waves at the both of them. Snake was flung out of the room, and trapped in a landslide of office-boxes. Kirby, however was kept in Tabuu's room.
"Now, I can start a new army. Those Primids," Tabuu indicated to the squad, acting as office jerks, "are useless. However, now that I have all the pieces, the Subspace Army will be re-born." Tabuu used all of his energy to take out the Primids, and use their source to feed on the trophies. The trophies, were consumed by Shadow Bugs, and clones of the fallen heroes were created. Marked with purple Aura, Tabuu assembled his new army.
"Listen up," the anti-Smashers formed in a line, "I want all of you to hide in your domains, and crush anyone, who gets in your way." said Tabuu. He curled in a ball, and orbs formed around him, showing areas in which the Subspace consumed. A light stair-way formed, and the new Subspace army marched towards their Master's domain. Behind them, stronger troops followed their command, each of them responding to the Anti-Smasher's series.
As the Smasher trophies lay scattered and lost within the Subspace realm. Lost souls stand among the shadowy grounds, looking for a place to inhabit. Unheard cries for help echoed across the large domain, with no one to receive it. As the orb was the only source of light within the Subspace, Primids guarded the trophies, each of them receiving their markings and abilities. With no oRne to revive them, Tabuu's conquest over the Smasher's Domain seemed to exceed as planed.
