Chapter 12: Bet.

Start:

"I'll take that as a yes!" Natsu said as left with orange juice dripping from his hair. As Lucy still froze in shock Mira wandered close to Lucy, obviously eavesdropping on Natsu's and Lucy's recent conversation.

"Isn't that great, I'll lend you a dress!" Mira squealed. Lucy looked at Mira. Even Mira seemed a bit off. Was the whole world switching bodies? "Lisanna" Lucy muttered. Mirajane sighed. She had a phone call over the phone with Lisanna. They had to break up in an awful way and now Mira knew what Natsu was doing. She knew what he was going to do. Lucy had to be the one to resolve the problem.

She regained her posture and gave a hearty smile. It was still hard to act like that in front of Lucy. After all that happened, even Mira felt like crying for her sister. After all, he made her happy. "Lucy, I think he meant it for tonight, Let's go to my room". He made her happy. Now it was Natsu's turn to be happy.

Lucy nodded with a fixed gaze at Natsu's retreating figure. Something was wrong and Lucy would make sure to find out on her 'date'. Still, the word date made her feel tingles since it's her first time. Being busy with the war and all, she never met any guys in Mermaid Heel, but now wasn't the time to feel giddy over this. She walked towards Mira who gestured the way to her room. Wonder what Levy would say. Probably say "Lu-Chan, your going to be the ticket to freeing us!"

Speaking of Levy, she noticed Levy doing a pitiful attempt of fighting Gajeel. Not really fighting, more like Levy giving soft punches. It's been a long time Levy was having fun even though she was pouting at Gajeel. Tickets to freeing us? Lucy wondered if Levy actually enjoyed being with the unruly iron dragon slayer that much. She shrugged and continued her walk to MiraJane's room with Mira to herself. It was about to hit 8:00 and Mirajane was sure Natsu would take her out by then.

Everything was in a flash. Mira had a bunch of dresses some not even in her size. "Are these your dresses?" Lucy asked, directing to the different dresses. "Some are Lisanna's while other I got some from a modeling agency I used to be in. They always got the wrong size but I don't tell them because they might reveal my weight." Mira replied on cue. Lucy looked at the tall line of dresses from the closet. Lucy had to make sure not to choose Lisanna's dress. It's just a guess since Lucy hadn't officially heard, Natsu and Lisanna might've broken up. It wouldn't make sense for Natsu because Lucy had heard Natsu planning for proposal.

She shouldn't go. Lucy should not. She really shouldn't to save Natsu the trouble and give him time for him to think straight. Apparently Lucy's mind didn't follow her body actions as she picked out a red cocktail dress with matching red high heels to the bathroom to get changed. It was her first date, so she unconsciously admitted she wanted to look good.

The cocktail dress was those ones with the long tail that reached the floor and left her knees to the feet exposed with a frilly velvet cloth around the opening of her legs. Lucy still had on her traditional pink earrings which didn't do together with her dress so she put her hair and put a red fake orchard on the side of her hair. (Her hair is all down, no side ponytails) She came out and Mira put make up on Lucy.

As soon as Lucy opened her eyes, she saw a dramatic change and frowned. She didn't want to look like she was trying since he obviously, probably, broke up with Lisanna recently. She rubbed the make up off, much to Mira's disappointment, and stuck with lipgloss.

"Lucy, whatever you do, make sure you do the right thing you think is right" Mira said as Lucy began to leave. Lucy was about to question it until the public cafeteria cell phone rang. No one was in the room and Lucy curiously picked it up.

"Hey, I'm waiting at the front." Natsu's voice in the phone startled her. She wasn't mentally prepared yet as she began to panic, something caught her eye. It was two juice boxes. One apple, the other grape. (Reference to the last chapter)

Apple juice for good luck but wine for bad luck for this and next week

Lucy remembered she checked Natus's fortune. She was currently carrying a red, rectangular purse with a golden chain for her to carry. She felt silly but brought it both. She turned and marched towards the exit. What will happen?

"Hey Lucy!" Natsu said with a bright grin. He had a casual, plain, and black jacket on with a gap which let his white dress shirt show. His pants matched his jacket as well as his shoes as he stood infront of his vehicle (Edolas Natsu's one). Lucy mentally sighed in relief. It was a formal outing, not a casual one. Thank goodness she took the right clothes. Lucy regretted jinxing herself the moment she said that.

She saw Natsu's shock a second later at Lucy's outfit. Damn, she must of chosen Lisanna's dress by accident. Lucy was about to apoligize until Natsu walked to the opposite side of the car and opened the door. "Isn't this what guys do for girls?" He suggested. He really was off. Lucy got in and he closed the door, walked back, and got in his vehicle. The driving was silent. Lucy preferred it that way but she knew Natsu would always start a random conversation at a time like this but he didn't.

Something really was off.

It was 8:45, the drive was long and the silence made it worse until they finally arrived at a club.

"BLUE PEGASUS" was what the blue lighted title said infront of it. Lucy had heard of this place before. It was steadily growing popular and was labeled the hottest place in most of Fiore. A must see but expensive and exclusive. Lucy wasn't able to go since she was either too young as her parents didn't take her(Her parents were well known), and now that she's old enough, she doesn't have enough money. Plus you have to know or be known by the owner or workers of the place. She didn't know why Natsu took her here. He worked in a Prison and made some income. Nothing special.

They came up to the guard who was infront of the club while a large group of people were in line waiting. They earned a group of glares and the guard was about to threaten Natsu until he pulled an ID from his wallet and showed it before the guard could say anything. The guard shrunk down and opened the rope seperating them from the club. Natsu casually walked in while Lucy huddled closer to Natsu, turning around to say sorry for the people they cut infront of before entering the club.

As soon as Lucy walked in, she saw everything. Lights that could cause seizures, music loud enough to blare into someone's eardrum (I'm listening to Double Vision) and the smell of booze intoxicated the whole club. Lucy was a revolted but excited at the same time. Natsu caught her looking at the club in amazement. "I'm gonna grab us some drinks" he said before disappearing into the mass of people. Lucy didn't want him to go. She was stuck in a crowded place with no one she knows!

"Oh Hi Babe" A voice came out. Lucy immediately felt like throwing up. "Why are you here, Sting?" Lucy said as she turned around to see the light blonde bastard he is. "Language Miss Lucy, Sorry for what I did back then, Natsu talked to me about it." He said.

"How do you and Natsu talk now? You didn't say anything since I escaped." Lucy contradicted.

"You don't know, he comes to this club a lot. Drinking beer and wine, flirting with women, couple of drunk fighting, partying" Sting said casually. The only thing that interested Lucy was the first three things. He didn't drink. Well, of what Lucy could tell. She never thought of him to be a Casanova, nor a cheater. Finally fighting, he never attacked strangers without a reason. "This is my apology." He picked up Lucy's hand and kissed it before walking away with a "Ja ne". Disgusted, she rubbed her hand on her dress.

"Told you he was pretty cool" Natsu replied with two glass's in his hands. Apparently, two guys were eyeing Lucy and Sting made sure she shouldn't be taken. It was wine (How come they serve wine in a bar unless your VIP) Lucy automatically said "I don't think we should drink wine, I brought some juice boxes" Lucy immediately regret saying that. She was at a club and instead of drinking soft drinks or hard drinks, she volunteered Natsu to drink orange juice.

Natsu chuckled, along with some other's around her that heard her. "You can drink that, I really need some wine" He said as he began to reach for the cup, only for his hand to be pulled away by Lucy. "I really don't think you should drink it" Lucy pressed. Natsu sighed. He put his hand out and Lucy gave him the apple Juice. He poked a hole through it and drank it so fast that the box started crumpling. Seconds later he loitered and beckoned Lucy to follow him.

Lucy, who was still drinking her juice, followed him. As they made their way, Natsu flirted with some of the girls along the way with them flirting back and saying they missed him yesterday. Lucy wondered if Natsu treated Lisanna like this as she covered her nose. The girls smelled of cigarettes and beer, along with a strong use of perfume. That mix was terrible but it seemed Natsu didn't mind with his overly sensitive nose. For that nose, it must be hell. It was probably the reason that Natsu was leading her to the exit.

"H-Hey Natsu? Why are we leaving so soon?" Lucy asked, they had only gotten here and now they were leaving. Natsu just smirked as he opened the door for himself and got in. Lucy did the same and entered.

Natsu kept driving, eventually coming towards a private property. "We shouldn't be here, we could be in trouble..." Lucy told Natsu who ignored her. Worried, she got her phone out that Mira lended to her. "I'm going to give a quick call to MiraJane" She told Natsu and as she got the flip phone out. "Lucy?"

"Yea?"

"Put that phone up"

"Why"

At the moment they were parked in the middle of the woods of a private property. "You look beautiful..." He began to say, avoiding the question. Lucy put the flip phone down but put the record button on. "Natsu, I'm not here for the date, I came to ask you something". He chuckled. "Then why are you dressed like this?" Good question.

"I want to ask you about Lisanna..." Natsu's face dimmed with a shadow overcasting his eyes, making it unable to read. "What about that skank?" Natsu responded coldly. He didn't look at Lucy.

"What happened to the marriage... Why did you start flirting with other girls? Also, why did-" Lucy got cut off. She had always imagined it to be an amazing feeling. It was and wasn't at the same time. It was a guilty pleasure. The electric feeling was there. After all, Lucy got kissed by Natsu Dragneel. Even though it was half an hour after they left, Lucy could taste the apple juice on his lips.

The kiss was rough and really forced, there was nothing sweet and gentle about it. Still, it felt good. Natsu broke off the kiss for air. "N-Natsu... the question" He cut her off more. Every time they kissed and broke off, Lucy would manage some words out, only for Natsu to continue to kiss her. Because every time Lucy tried to speak, Natsu would kiss her and began to make Lucy start to forget what she was going to ask. The kisses were breaking down her walls of resistance one by one. The more it broke, the more she felt like giving in.

Natsu broke off the kiss and they both began to pant. This time, she didn't speak. Instead she craved more. And Natsu gave her more. Lucy opened her eyes in the kiss to see Natsu gazing at her longingly. Was he this good at kissing with Lisanna. Lucy, who had started to give herself to Natsu, eye's lit up. LISANNA! She had almost forgot. Natsu was just avoiding the question. Instead of Natsu breaking off the kiss, Lucy pushed him back.

Natsu stayed his ground until Lucy finally used all her strength to push him off. They both panted. "Lucy..."

"I'm not Lisanna...Those girls aren't Lisanna..." She finally said. Natsu's eyes widened. He started to frown and his eyes turned into rage. "I don't give a fuck about Lisanna! She's a slut like you". Natsu roared. He pounced on Lucy in the vehicle. This time going for more as he began to undress Lucy. She didn't want this. She really didn't.

It was getting to hot and Lucy did the only thing that she could do. She made her lips go into her mouth. Natsu smirked as he went for her neck making Lucy squeak. She tried to try Natsu off her to no avail until she started swinging her hands around, hoping to find something to hit him with. Her hand laid on the car door. With a struggle she opened and purposely flipped over outside which caused Natsu and Lucy to tumble out of the car.

Lucy hurriedly stood up. Natsu got up too, this time with flames in his hand. "So you want to play rough..."

Natsu kept attacking Lucy. Why did she have to go and be a buzzkill. Why did she even bring Lisanna up. The fight ended quickly since Lucy didn't have her spirits. Natsu was driving while Lucy remained bruised in the backseat. "It's your fault. You did this to yourself." He told the unconscious Lucy. It was her fault. The way she acted. Most girls he did this too (Not in his vehicle) recently just let him. Lucy on the other hand was stupid. Stupid and a weirdo.

"N-Natsu..." His eyes went wide as he hit the brakes and saw Lucy behind him start to wake up.

"I'm taking you back, don't you dare say anything about this" He bellowed. "Dead...Let's make a deal". This perked Natsu's ears. "What are you talking about?"

"Go and talk to Lisanna..." Lucy finally said firmly. She began to sit up and eyed the rear view mirror which Natsu was looking at in the vehicle.

"What's in it for me".

"I'll do whatever you want"

"I already have 10 girls at my feet, what makes you special".

"...I'm a virgin". Natsu couldn't take it anymore. After what had just happened to her, she said that. Natsu broke out laughing and slammed his arm up and down as if to contain his laughter. Lucy on the other hand blushed lightly but had a serious face on.

"I've always wanted to go through the virgin road but you could ruin that" Natsu laughed even more at this.

"...pshhh hahahahah! J-Just let me ask you something... Why didn't you scream when I did that to you?" Natsu replied while resorting to chuckles now.

"Because...you always said that somebody would come and save me if I screamed. It would be useless If that person was the one doing it." Lucy answered. Natsu stopped laughing. He did say that when Leo was around.

He sighed. "Fine...Just don't regret it. Also, how do you win?"

Lucy just remained silent which Natsu took as an answer for she doesn't.

Lucy for the first time, stared at the pink-haired boy with fear. Even though the chat they just had was in an almost-friend like manner, she still was scared. After all, it reminded her that this world wasn't safe at all. She inwardly sighed. From now on, whether she liked it or not, probably thought it was safe to avoid Natsu for now. She looked at the car roof. She has never been this much terrified in her life.

They returned to the prison silently. Mira asked how it went to which Lucy said fine and handed Mira's phone to Mirajane (Unaware she had recorded the previous event in her phone) and changed back to her regular clothes. Then Natsu marched Lucy towards her cell, silent as many people from the cells were looking at them.

"Night" Natsu said as kept staying in front of the cell bars of Lucy's and Levy's cell.

Levy began to open her mouth to ask something but Lucy immediately pretended to go to sleep until she finally did.

Lucy felt like how she did when she felt like she was first brought here. Afraid.

Interesting bet. I honestly didn't think it would turn out like this but I was listening to "God Knows" from Haruhi Suzumiya (Lucy's voice actor) when Natsu started to act violent and came up with this. Wow. This is something what I like to call a cliffhanger. Or fail cliffhanger. Hope you enjoyed.
