Merakir: Am I in this Chapter?

Chapter 8

Cafe Assault

Damon enters the cafe that he was suppose to meet Allen and Lenalee at, they decided to meet here once everyone was done with their part in searching the Rewinding City for any clues as to why this is happening to the city in the first place, for him though he didn't really find any clues or Akuma for that matter to begin with.

As he sits down at a table waiting on Allen and Lenalee, he pulls out the white gem from his pocket to stare at it. He knew no matter how he looked at it, it was just a normal white gem despite the moving dragon symbol on the inside.

Time went by as he continued to stare at the white gem wondering what it is or what it means, but the sound of the door of the cafe opening, and see Allen and Lenalee walk in pulled him out of his line of thought and back into reality, he puts the gem away before Allen or Lenalee see it then sits there like he normally does as he waits for the two too sit down.

A few short moments later of waiting for food and refreshments to arrive, Allen is already digging into his food as the group began to relay the information they gathers starting with Lenalee "So when I had the chance I went to kick a hole in the wall and tried too leave the city but I just ended up walking back into the city, so now we know that its true that we can't leave until we find the Innocence and turn it off."

Allen quickly swallows his food before saying "Well I think I found someone who mind have something to do with the Innocence" he pulls out a rather crude drawing of what Damon thinks to be a girl.

Lenalee thinks for a moment before looking at Allen saying "Wait a minute...How in the world did you lose her Allen!?" Allen shrugs and says "She ran off before I can stop her, but hey at least we have a picture of her" Lenalee looks back at the drawing with a small sweatdrop on her face saying "yeah I guess so...but this is some bad drawing Allen" Allen sighs in disappointment seeing that his drawing was bad.

Just then a random head pops up behind Damon and Lenalee asking "Innocence?" causing Allen to jump you and point at the girl saying "Thats her shes the one I was talking about!" this however causes the girl to scream then run out of the window, after a short reveal of what was going on she calmed down to listen and talk.

The girl hesitates for a moment before speaking "So.. My name is Miranda Lotto, and I have been stuck in this city for such a long time with this place rewinding back in time over and over again it drives me insane, so please, please! Help out will you!?" she cries and yells at Allen, he calms her down and agrees to help her.

Damon stares at the woman thinking for a moment before feeling a slight sting from his right hand where his tattoo is "looks like we got company though.." this causes Lenalee and Allen to tense up, then the usual sound of Allen's eye is heard, while Miranda was just confused as to what was going on.

Allen looks at the bar where 4 mean were located sitting there before standing up the moment Allen stood up as a sign of getting ready and letting the enemy know that he knew of their presence "Miranda those people are not human, they are Akuma, and they are after you cause they are trying to find the Innocence in which they believe you possess" the four man remove themselves from their Human bodies to show their true forms as Level 2 Akuma. This causes Miranda to scream as Lenalee activates her Dark Boots to charge in with Allen to attack the Akuma.

Damon stares as the two battle, he hangs back with Miranda to keep her safe "just stay behind me Miranda..." she nods but screams as the Akuma with multiple heads jumps towards them, in a reaction Damon activates his Innocence, The Demon Tattoo, causing flames to poor out that change into a fist in which he punched the Akuma out of the way into a wall.

Allen looks at Lenalee and Damon "Damon! Lenalee! Get Miranda out of here I can handle things here while you get away, I'll catch up later!" Damon and Lenalee nod, Lenalee picks up Miranda then launches outside of the cafe with Damon running behind her.

Outside of the wall Toma is standing under a tree as he waits for Lenalee and Allen to come back out of the city when he notices a girl with a pin umbrella in front of the gate smiling saying "so this is the rewinding city.." she licks her lips before walking up to the gate putting the now closed umbrella out in front of her as she walks right through the barrier while being badly burned as well as the umbrella saying 'No, No, Don't do this!' before they are completely on the other side of the barrier with Toma staring with amazement.

The girl smiles as she reaches the other side of the barrier badly burnt but her burnt skin just magically sheds off saying "Road Camelot is not on the scene" before laughing slightly.

Above the city within the barrier not visible to sensible to the Noah or the Exorcists, is a circle of mist with Merakir watching from the other side of the said mist staring at Camelot then back to the running Damon "seems like one of the Noah have appeared, I was wondering how long it would take the Earl to send one...Regardless it seems Yanno's job just got harder especially since he has power that are not his own nor and of his memories it seems.."

A hissing noise can be heard behind Merakir "And what are you doing within my Lord Realm Basilis? Shouldn't you be managing the World of the Poison/Death right now?"

Basilis appears from the shadows laughing a bit before slithering up to the mist "I wanted to stop by and see how little Yanno is fairing in your little mission of yours" he looks into the mist to see Road Camelot "will you look at that, its Road Camelot a member of the Noah who are aligned with the Millennium Earl, so he was your target this time? Well that will get rid of one problem in my World indeed."

Merakir raises an eyebrow "problem? You said in the meeting that the World of the Poison/Death was secure..."

Basilis nods "I did, but that doesn't mean it has its own issues, as you remember the people who die in the many worlds that we as Elemental Lords go into the World of Poison/Death before reaching either the World of the Heavens or Underworld, however it seems that SOMEONE is deciding to just pluck some of these dead people from this world and taking them somewhere else, and I am reason to believe through my many connections is that the man behind it all is none other than the Earl himself, and it seems I am right"

Merakir ponders about what Basilis said before saying "Does this cause an issue to the World of the Poison/Death as a whole?"

Basilis shakes his head "No, at least not right now, however as each month goes by, it seems that the dead in line for the two worlds of rest are starting to disappear more rapidly, as such if we don't stop the Earl, there could be a balance issue not only for the World of Poison/Death, but for the Worlds that Uni and Oni protect(The two humans with wings from the last chapter Uni is the Elemental Lord of the Heavens while Oni is the Elemental Lord of the Underworld.)"

Merakir stares at the mist before sighing "then we must come up with a plan, but for now, let us sit back and watch, soon Yanno your memories will have to reawaken as will your powers, so right now, do your best.." Basilis nods as he stares back at the Mist waiting to make their move.

Elemental Lords? Who are They? Why don't you just guess what they are?
