This chapter is short, I'm sorry:( please forgive me!
Jackson stands outside the ER and waits for something to happen. Oddly, everything is silent, which could only mean one thing... Something big was about to happen. "Doctor Avery," Jo says walking up to him. "Trauma teams have been called out. There was a shooting." Jo says sounding exasperated.
"Where was the shooting?" He asks as they round up a team in jump in an ambulance.
"On a plane," Jo says. Kepner looks over at Avery and without saying a word they just know what the other was thinking.
"Page Doctor Grey, Doctor Shepherd, Doctor Bailey, Doctor Hunt, and the Karevs." April orders her. They arrive at the crash site and are horrified. They have worked on some gruesome cases but this by far was the worst. "I thought she said shooting not massacre." April muttered.
"I don't see any signs of life, I'm going to call the coroner. Keep searching." Jackson tells her. The next ambulance pulls up and Chief Hunt Doctor Shepard and Doctor Karev 1 and 2 pop out.
"I want dead people to have a black piece of tape on their shirt. If alive get then to the hospital ASAP." Hunt demands. April walks around with black tape checking people's pulse. She walks up to a tiny body, one of a child only about four years old. She bends down with A tear in her eye to check the pulse.
It was hard to tell so she took her stethoscope and checked for a heartbeat. "I hear faint sounds!" She yells. "Get me a stretcher!" Kepner yells. "Jane Doe around four years old. Looks like a bullet hole in her chest. Barely breathing." She says to Avery when he brings the stretcher. "Karev!" She yells. She tells Alex about the girls condition. "I'm trauma I should stay here." She tells him.
"Okay, Izzy stay here, they may need the extra hands." He tells her.
"Anything over there?" Kepner asks around. Everyone shakes their head no.
"Okay, start bagging." Hunt announces. They all walk up to the back of the coroners van and got body bags.
"You gonna be okay April?" Jackson asks her. "Maybe after we are done here I can help relieve some tension." He whispers in her ear.
"Is that all you think about is sex? I just pulled a four year old girl out of the rubble of a massacred plane. Someone aimed a gun and shot a little girl." April says. "Doesn't that even phase you?" She asks him.
"Wait, I could twenty-three bodies. The airport sent a list of people that boarded the plane and there is twenty-five on this list." Meredith says. "Who would walk away from a plane crash?"
"The shooters," Hunt says.
