Chapter 6
Spirit Link's Awakening (Nothing to do with Link's Awakening)
Link opened his eyes to find that he was laying on a bed. He looked around to see other beds in the room and several injured Hylian soldiers asleep on them. From what he saw he knew he was in the castle's infirmary. The question is, who brought him here. He sat up only to feel a sting in his back making him yelp seeing that he had not yet fully recovered from the attack.
"Sounds like he's up." A voice said from outside the infirmary door. The door open and what walked in gave Link a surprise. Two Hylians walked into the room wearing the exact same clothes that he wears, only there were several differences between the two. The first one looked like his clothes were quite old and dusty, while the other looked relatively newer.
"Well looks like you had quite a experience happen to you." Time Link said.
"Who are you?" Link said.
"The guys that dragged you here." He joked.
"We saw you lying on a bush in the forest and decide to bring here so you could heal." Light Link said.
"What happened to you?"
"I have know clue. One moment I was patrolling the halls with the princess, the next I'm fighting this... dark Hylian that looks kinda like you two. It took her, it took Zelda." Link said, "Why... why..."
"A dark Hylian eh? Then he was here." Time Link asked.
"Who?"
"The Villain of Time."
"What?"
"We'll explain, You must be hungry after that battle. Come on." Light Link said. The two Hylians helped injured hero off the bed and to the castle's guards mess hall. Once Link had gotten his food and sat down at one of the tables, the two Hylians explained everything that was starting to happen.
"So let me get this straight. This new villain is trying to reform this forbidden Triforce that the demise had and is going to mess up the future, past, and present of all the timelines." Link said.
"And all this just because I acquired the Triforce of Power from Ganondorf." Light Link said.
"Just what this kingdom needs, another blast from the past. We don't even have much to say about the Triforce anymore. It was lost in the great sea when the Hero of Winds turned the Gerudo King to stone and the king of the original Hyrule submerged it beneath the sea."
"But the legend says that the Godess Hylia was actually the first ever Zelda and the demise wanted to take her power. Since the Hero of Legend saved her, every one of her descendants had magical abilities and swore to protect the Triforce. Your Zelda comes from the same blood of her ancestors and still obligated to protect the Triforce." Time Link.
"Exactly who are you two?" Link asked.
The two Hylians looked at each other and nodded. When they looked back Time Link said, "I am Link, the Hero of Time."
Then Light Link said, "...and I am Link, the Hero of Light."
"Why do you have the same names as me?"
"It seems that all the heroes of the kingdom sport the same name. To fix this we just put our hero name in front of our real name. For me it would be Light Link."
"What is your hero name?" Time Link asked.
"The Hero of Spirits." Spirit Link said.
"It's good to meet you Spirit Link."
"If we're going to save Zelda we would have to find out where exactly that dark entity took her. Is there any place still sacred to the Triforce in this time?" Light Link asked.
"I'm not really sure, like I said the Triforce was submerged with the king of the original Hyrule. Plus the bloodline of people related to people of that era are getting pretty thin. Let me check my map." Spirit Link took out the station map and started looking for a place that was still very sacred to the Triforce, "Sorry guy's, I can't find anything close to the Triforce. But there is one place that they might have gone. In the southwest there's a portal into the dark realm however the portal has vanished since me and Zelda defeated Malladus, but for some reason dark energy still resonates from that area so we might as well look there."
"Well what are we waiting for. Let's go, there's no time to lose, and I mean that literally." Time link said.
"Hold your horses, you don't think you are going to walk all the way there are you?"
"Yeah why?"
"It would take you at least three or so days just by walking there. Two if you run without stopping. Either way by the time you get there they could be long gone."
"Well how do you propose we get there?"
"By train."
"By what?" Time and Light Link asked in unison.
Spirit Link got up from his seat and said, "Come, I'll show you." The other two Links then got up from their seats and followed Spirit Link outside of the castle and to a building with a track of rails along the side of it. On the rails near the building was a large mechanical contraption.
"Oh I get it, it's like mine cart track." Light Link said.
"Well get in the cabin. And we'll be off." Once they were in the cabin and Spirit Link was in the engine, he said, "Let's hope I still know how to run this rusty hunk of Junk."
"Wait what?" The two Links in the cabin yelled.
"All aboard!" And with that the train started to move along the rail slowly constantly starting to get faster when it left the station. Thus they were on their way.
The King: Well I had to look up on the zelda wiki again but we now have three Links in our band of heroes. What will they find when they reach the area were the Dark Realm was. Find out in the Next Chapter. Please Review.
