That night Zoey was at home having dinner with her Mom.
"Honey I just wanna say that I'm sorry, that I was so hard on you when you got kicked off West Drive... Now that you're living a normal teen-aged life, and I've got a full time job I've never been happier. And I haven't seen you smile this much in a long time," Miss. Rivas said.
"Yeah. I'm really loving Degrassi, my friends, and of course Maya," The Dark-Haired Girl responded.
"Zoey, I love you very much, My Dear. I know things were rough for a while when Dad died all those years ago, and I wasn't there for you, but I'm here for you now and you will never alone ever again," The Mother added, pulling her daughter in for a loving embrace.
"I love you too, Mom," Zoey replied, hugging the adult back.
After that the two went back to eating and chatting! It was definitely a wonderful evening.
