Jack's POV

The cage smashed open on impact and I watched as she fell out… and… passed out. I watched on in horror for just a second before flying towards her at full speed, catching her just before she hit the ground… and using the momentum, pushed up from the ground back towards Pitch; who shot a ball of smoke at us. It hit us and I felt Selena pulled from my arms right before I hit the ground with a thud. My eyes became blurred and I could see black blotches scattered everywhere, a loud ringing in my ears and a painful throbbing ache at the back of my head. I stood up dizzily finding it hard to stand straight without something to lean on. Yet as soon as I saw Pitch holding Selena, the black blotches left my eyes, the ringing in my ears stopped to a point where everything became too quiet and the throbbing of my head dulled until it was just a small headache. I shot up at them and just before I shot ice at Pitch I saw that he was holding something at her neck, that something was an arrow with a rosewood shaft, 4-inch dove feathered fletches and a smoothed rose quartz tip. It was one of Cupid's arrows but what would Pitch want with one of them. Pitch was angry now you could hear it in his voice "you want to know why I wont give her up Jack, it's because of that night when you took away my victory you took away my power, my everything, well now it's time you felt the same way, I want you to know what it's like to have everything you had taken away by someone else and you can never get it back" my heart sunk as he poised the arrowhead closer to her heart. Although the arrow was smoothed at the point I couldn't shake the feeling that It could actually hurt her. "Now I will take everything you care about" he brought the arrow-tip down forcefully over her heart "NO" I screamed. But it was too late the arrow pierced her skin and exploded with a sparkling red light that soon turned dark. Sparks flew around the room before the darkness consumed her. Out of the darkness as it receded came Selena, just as beautiful as before, but something was different… she seemed darker. I saw why, her eyes, they weren't a deep brown anymore they were black as smoke and it looked like the smoke was swirling through her irises darkening them even more. She looked up at Pitch and smiled, she smiled like she used to smile at me… full of love. I stumbled backward as if a huge hand had just slapped me in the face.

Selena's POV

I woke up in a daze and when I opened my eyes at first I felt a pang of disgust but then I smiled, as the man I was looking at was just too beautiful to do anything else. If love at first sight was possible I had just been stuck. I looked around checking if my sister was nearby with her bow and arrow. I remembered his name, Pitch; it was such a strong name, mysterious, dark and sexy. "Pitch" his name rolled off my tongue in such a sensual way it was mesmerising. "Selena" I heard him say my name but it wasn't Pitch I had forgotten all about the boy that had released me from my prison only moments before, if only he knew that I didn't want to be rescued. Who would when they're in Pitch's lair, when he was only a room away that every now and then he would come through and tease his way into your heart. It was Jack who had said my name the name made me feel something but it was nothing compared to what Pitch made me feel. I ignored Jack's pitiful whine for attention. "Selena darling, why don't you show Jack to the door" he said in that voice, that voice so smooth it made me melt. "Gladly" was all I said back before I stood up and walked towards Jack, his face full of horror and… pain. "Why so sad, Jack?" I said to him actually feeling sorry for him. I started walking out not wanting to look at his pained expression anymore. I heard him get up and begin following me.

Jack's POV

Why, how could that happen she had been in love with me, and then she smiled at him as if HE was her world; not me. It was disgusting to watch, then she said his name in a way that she would have said my name. I thought back to when he had stabbed her with Cupid's arrow,

That's it he stabbed her with one of Cupid's arrows, that's what made her fall in… in… love… with him. It was revolting just to think about. I stood up and followed her out of the cave, out of that horror scene.

We walked back in silence and once I was outside I saw Lilly take a step out when she saw Selena, yet one look at Selena's eyes told her something was not right and she backed away into the bushes again. Selena looked at me curiously "Don't be sad Jack, I mean did you really think there was anything between us I mean I'm the princess of SPRING and you're the WINTER spirit it just wouldn't work". Those words stung as if she had just frozen me right there and then slapped me across the face tenfold. Then she retreated back into the cave, back to Pitch.

I stood up and flew as fast as I could back to the others, back to find Cupid. Lilly was close behind me, feeling sorry for the small wolf I picked her up and carried her back.

Back in the cabin the next morning everyone was gathered to hear my bad news. They looked towards me expecting me to start speaking, well I might as well start "Pitch has Selena" everyone gasped and Faun got up and started for the door, but Cupid grabbed her hand and yanked her back onto her seat. "but that's not all" I sighed fighting to say the words "and he stabbed her… with… with one of Cupid's arrows" this time Cupid and Faun got up from their seats and started for the door, both with looks of hatred on their faces. It took both North and Bunnymund to get them to sit and listen again, "and now she has…" my heart flooded with emotion but I pushed it all down "… fallen in love with him" I finally blurted out. They all gasped and then Faun yelled "that's it, no one is gonna' stop me" she glared around, dring anyone to try and stop her "from clobbering that… that… b***ard, no one" and she stormed out the door her tiger pixies following her. Cupid was the next to stand "Eris attacked me today and stole one of my arrow's… now I know what it was for and… now I know exactly who is going to feel my wrath" she said that one sentence so calmly, that it was scarier than Faun's excessively loud voice. But I pushed that fear down as well "we need your help if we're going to figure out a way to get her back" "I know jack, I think I may know a way" she smiled and began thinking. I just stared at her my eyes saying 'well tell me'.

he is getting desperate isn't he, but then again who wouldn't be. who like the big bang, and no i am not talking about the one that created the universe. i am talking about Pitch's diabolical plan. its ripping poor Jack to shreds :o
