2nd last day before the full moon

Selena's POV

Pitch may be an Adonis, a god of hotness, but he wasn't kind at heart, he was dark and twisted… and unbelievably SEXY. So much so that it was almost bearable to be in the same room as Eris. She was so annoying, constantly pointing out how gross my attraction to her brother was. But she isn't here now… now it's just me

And Pitch

He was pacing back and forth in front of me as I just sat on a rock, formed to look like a chair. He was frustrated, now was not the time to make a move, it would only end up with him angrier and me hurt. At the moment I just have to buy my time, sit here watching him pacing back and forth… back and forth…

Not that I have a problem with that.

Jack's POV

Cupid was walking in circles, thinking to herself. It was infuriating. Selena is with Pi… Pit… Pitch. I can hardly say it in my head, let alone out loud. but to make it worse Cupid wont tell me how to save her.

'Cupid' I screamed not handling the suspense anymore but what came next almost made me regret breaking the silence

'What… what do you want Jack… I am doing my best to think of a plan but I don't know there are all these rules regarding the power of my arrows I cant just break the spell"

"The hell you can't Cupid, its your arrow…"

"JACK" Tooth cut me off, it was surprising I have never heard her yell like that before "I know you want her back just as much as the rest of us, but we have to think about this, Pitch has a plan… and right now we don't, and If we go barging in without one… we will lose" Tooth stopped and I looked at her, shocked. I had to admit, Tooth had a point

"Well what's our strategy because I am not going to stand by and let Selena die…"

"Jack I am trying but at the moment the only way to break true loves spell is for the affected to… to… die, don't you remember Romeo and Juliet" Cupid couldn't look me in the eyes. How could this happen, everything was perfect, we loved each other… and now its like I don't even exist to her.

"It's not even true love, Pitch created it…" I said before Cupid cut me off .

"Wait what did you say"

"Pitch created it all"

"No, no, no before that" I thought for a second about what she was referring to

"It's not even true love" I said getting angrier that she would try to make me feel worse by reminding me of that fact.

"That's it, that's the answer" when Cupid spoke those 5 words I spun around and grabbed her by the shoulders

"How" she looked into me eyes, her auburn hair unusually frazzled by worry.

"It's not true love, true love is the only lasting spell, I have to analyse the connection between two people first, before even notching an arrow… otherwise the spell will fade" I let her go, the ghost of a smile creeping back onto my features.

"That's great, so the spell is fading, she'll come back to us soon" then with one word it all came crashing down around me just as my hope was being built up, it crashed with that one word from Cupid's lips.

"No"

"What"

"Pitch, he infused the arrow with his own magic, that explains the black irises, but it means it has a stronger hold, if it wasn't I could, I could just let it fade… but no, Pitch's power has made into something other than love, something darker. She will feel dependant on him, like he is her world… like she cant live without him"

He's her world? How can that be, Selena is MY world and now HE, is hers. It just means that I have to do whatever it takes to get her back.

"What do I need to do" Cupid looked up again from her thinking

"What do you need to do? Oh, isn't it obvious, have you never read a romance" she looked at me as if I was supposed to know exactly what she was talking about, then she looked around the room for back up, as if everyone else knew exactly what she was on about.

"Good lord, I am surrounded by morons" she murmured under her breath "in nearly every children's story told, how is the princess saved, how is she brought back"

"What are you blabbering on about woman" Bunnymund yelled, now we were all staring at her as if she were talking in a different language she sighed and began explaining "True loves kiss, god, I though it was obvious to you people, maybe not Jack but Tooth I am very disappointed… I have to teach you about my job after this" I thought about it, all it takes is one kiss, something so simple like a kiss can be so powerful.

"Why didn't you say so, I mean all I have to do is kiss her"

"Jack, think about what you are saying, Pitch won't let you anywhere near her" North reminded me of that

"North, who cares about Pitch" I was so happy I had begun to jump up and down until I couldn't contain myself. I ran outside and willed the chilling, invigorating wind to lift me up and towards my Selena. Not Pitch's Selena. MY Selena.

Selena's POV

Eris came running inside, just as I was giving Pitch a Massage, lifting the pressure from his toned muscles. "He's coming, they're all coming" she said almost out of breath with excitement "who's coming?" I questioned, curious as to 'who' she was referring to. Pitch snapped his hand up, signalling me to stop

"Well this is perfect, all of them here, to witness my rise to power" I loved it when he talked about being powerful, it sent shivers up and down my spine. But something felt wrong, deep down something stirred, I pushed it down. 'He can't see me like that, nobody can' I thought to myself. "Who's coming, Pitch"

"Selena… I will need you to stay away from these bad people, especially Jack Frost" the name made my heart skip a beat but I dismissed it, must be fear. "Why, I can handle myself around him, I can hold my own, you know"

"Yes, yes, I know you can but I doubt Jack can exercise that much control when around you" I nodded accepting the answer. Pitch was excited, and so was I.

Jack's POV

I was almost there; the flight was much quicker without Lilly to worry about. By the time I reached the clearing outside his cave, I noticed Faun 100 metres away instructing a small army of… tiger pixies. Quickly changing my landing spot I found my way to her reaching out my arm to her shoulder and just barely touching it when. SMACK. Faun whirled around and karate chopped me in the neck, sending me paralysed to the ground

"Jack, what in the name are you doing here" she poked me in several places, each one freeing a part of my body

"Same as you…" I said while relieving my aching joints "… whe… when did you learn to do that" she stared blankly at me

"Oh, martial arts and pressure points, oh that was from about 3 decades ago… I went through a faze" I nodded and smiled despite my still aching joints.

"So what's our plan of attack" faun smiled and began to explain the finer points of warfare. All I got out of it was that we were storming inside wreaking havoc and coming back out with Selena in my arms, Pitch in severe pain and Eris on the run.

Seems Legit

Selena's POV

Inside Eris was tapping her nails on the rocks, impatiently. While Pitch just sat there thinking, he was always thinking, never really doing anything. I was bored and I was going to find something to do. Walking around the cave, was quite depressing really, there was no colour, no life; just darkness. Until I heard a familiar pitter, patter of tiny feet, no rephrase that, tiny paws. They belonged to a small tiger pixie, a scout. I quickly ran back to Pitch and Eris I knew it was wrong but I had to "they're here" Pitch looked up at me with black mysterious eyes

"How do you know"

"I" think, think Selena you cant give away the pixie "I just have this strong feeling… in my belly" grabbing my stomach I imitated the century long excuse used by Norht evry time he had a instinctual feeling about something.

"Quickly Eris, stall them they cant get in until tomorrow"

"Why cant we just let them in n…"

"Because I said so, Eris just do it" Eris left the room obediently to do her job; while I struggled to contain my giggles over her sudden obedience.

Jack's POV

We were ready everyone was here, everyone was equipped so we began our assault on the cave, only to find it blocked up by stone. How is it possible, I kicked the nearest boulder, wincing when the pain shot through my leg, how could this be, we were ready to take him down and now we cant get inside.

"What're we gonna do now, the bloody entrance is blocked" Bunnymund so obviously pointed out. I turned my glare on him until it was cut off by Norths booming voice

"Break it down" with that one command, five Yeti's charged it, but it didn't budge.

Tooths available pixies wizzed around the edges trying to find a crack to get through.

We all tried our magic but nothing made it budge. I kept going for hours, day turned into night and I was still going at it, until Faun came up to me and put a gentle hand on my shoulder "Jack, there's no use, we just have to wait it out" I was exhausted and I collapsed right then and there sobbing into Fauns arms as she lifted me up and helped me to one of the many tents that her pixies had raised for us all. I fell asleep instantly.
