The summer was the hardest for Lilith. Other children came and went from the orphanage but not one family chose to adopt the young Lilith Riddle. There were two things that kept Lilith going, the letters from her friends and the trips to the library. One of the caretakers would take Lilith to the muggle library every week. She would then spend her free time reading and Lilith had too much free time on her hands. She only slept about four hours a night. Nightmares plagued her. There were flashes of bright, different colored lights and shouts. Lilith knew she was invisible to the ones in her dream. People ran past her in a panic, oblivious to her. There was a small man that reminded Lilith of rat every time. He would scurry past wringing his hands togeather and saying repeatdly, "They're coming." Everyone was rushing around inside the house when lights outside the house began. The people inside began shouting and grabbing for their wands. The rat man huddled in a corner clearly panicked.

That was how the dream ended every time. Every time Lilith awoke in a cold sweat and shaking from the fear she felt. Lilith did not tell anyone. This was how she spent every summer until her fourth year.
