Can You Catch Me?

Skye was dying.
That much was known.
The time was near.
Or was it?
Is this even the right story?
Yes, this one is.
She will die.
Or not.
If you haven't figured out what happens from the summary then I guess you'll just be surprised by the already spoiled 'twist' that is the easiest cop-out ever.
Hey.
What?
Get on with it!
Fine.
So, Skye was dying.
You aren't there yet!
Let's go back a few minutes. Maybe, like twenty.
Skye and Ward were being followed.
They knew it was whoever was responsible for this, but Skye knew that in order to lead them out, she'll let them follow. That's when she got attacked.
Ward easily dispatched the two people, and soon FitzSimmons had arrived.
"Well, that was easy." Simmons said.
"What's with the monkey?" Skye asked.
"Oh, they had one at the pet store." Fitz told her.
"So, who are these people?" Ward asked.
"Where are they?" Simmons asked.
"Over there." Ward pointed over to the left. There was nobody there. That's when Ward ran.
"What's gotten into him?" Fitz asked. Skye looked at the knocked out bodies. One of them was Ward's.
"What?" Skye started to run after Ward. FitzSimmons tried to hurry after, but they just couldn't do it. Skye managed to catch up and tackle Ward.
"Who are you?" Skye asked. That's when it got weird.
"I'm you." Ward's face turned into Skye's. Then FitzSimmons arrived to see the two of them.
"Okay, Skye. If you and Ward are playing a joke on us, this is not funny." Simmons said.
"I'm not doing anything. It's her!" One Skye pointed to the other.
"Hey, I'm not the imposter here, it's her!" The other Skye accused. FitzSimmons was confused, and that didn't happen often.
"Okay, here's a compromise. Take out your gun." One Skye ordered. Fitz grabbed the Night-Night Gun.
"Now shoot me." That Skye said. Fitz shot the other one.
"Thank you." Skye ran.
"Well, at least it can't get much worse." Fitz said.
Ten minutes later, things were a lot worse. They had managed to wake up Skye and Ward and followed a trail into a hotel.
"Okay, stay together. If you separate the thing that we're dealing with will change faces." Skye told them.
"The technology to do that must be the perfect camouflage." Fitz said.
"Whatever, we just need stop them. Whoever they are." Simmons said.
"Okay, Ward, you're with me. FitzSimmons, you go that way." Skye pointed to the left.
"So, let's go." Ward said leading her to the right wing of the hotel. However, after thirteen steps, they saw Skye. They started chasing her and the three of them ended up in a hotel room. Skye and Ward on one side of the bed and Skye on the other. Ward was able to incapacitate Skye and then Skye tried to pull Skye's face off. What came off was a piece of technology, that was later discovered to be a camouflage machine created by Centipede. Skye figured that FitzSimmons wouldn't mind if she let them see it. And she figured that if she did that they wouldn't mind if they spent a little time in the hotel room. Skye turned on the TV to see The Pursuit Of Happyness on. She quickly changed the channel, because for all the build up that film had, she found the actual result to be a little underwhelming. Within the next three minutes Skye was dying. But that'll be saved for next time.
What?
Sorry, but seven is a better number to end on than six. I mean six is a great number when talking about girlfriends. You know, "How many kids do you want? Six. How many girls did you kiss before me? Six." As much as I love six, it's not a great ending number.
So, that's it for this chapter. You have Skye in a hotel room about to die, and you leave us like that?!

So, I hoped that liked this chapter. And like the narrators said, there's only one more chapter. I have to say, out of all the stories I wrote this one was the most fun to write.
