The next day Hiccup had asked him out on a date, causing Jack to smile softly. They hadn't exactly been on a date for a while now, mostly keeping their relationship on the down low.

Keeping it on the down low was hard for both of them, and probably not the best. All the frustration during the day all came crashing together as soon as they were alone; making up with heated kissing and moving hands. Hiccup never went above the boy's stomach, as Jack would instantly stop and pull away.

Hiccup assumed it was an insecure thing; not knowing of the scars that littered his body there. Other things Hiccup thought other things were about was the long pants and shirts; figuring it was an insecure thing. Hiccup told him almost everyday that Jack was beautiful the way he was, but Jack would walk away or avoid eyes.

Jack didn't like being in a little bubble, and wanted to so badly tell him. What if he reacted badly? Jack knew Hiccup would never do anything like this, but the thought… Sighing, he knew he needed to tell Hiccup at one point… But Jack didn't really have to… They weren't even technically 'together'.

Jack knew he was just being stupid, it was obvious the two were together, it just wasn't said out loud. He didn't particularly like the hiding, but he knew it was for Hiccup. Jack continued to frown, but did start to get ready.

'Dress casual' was all he was told. Jack seemed to be slowly getting used to Hiccup's surprises and vague descriptions of what to wear. He put on a pair of jeans, and a white button up. He felt he looked a little funny with white hair and a white shirt; but that was quickly discarded as he heard the doorbell.

Biting his lip, he frowned at his reflection once more before running downstairs to Hiccup. North was out working again, not knowing anything about the two boys; it seemed every time he asked, something was there stop Jack from answering. Though he was slightly grateful, he hated keeping something like this from North; he was always so encouraging to Jack, and he seemed to like Hiccup…

Smiling at the brunette, Jack shut the door behind him, using his key to lock it before putting the key in his wallet. Hiccup had that same stupidly-cute smile he wore everytime he picked Jack up for a date, sending butterflies through his stomach.

This time though, Hiccup had taken Jack's hand, lacing their fingers together and letting his thumb brush against his hand. Jack bit his lip, but didn't say anything. His hand felt warm, comforting.

"So are you going to tell me where we're going, or are you going to keep me guessing?" Jack asked, his eyebrow arching questioningly.

Hiccup smirked. "You should know by know i'm not telling you anything." He said, getting on his bike and giving Jack the helmet while he started up the bike. Jack strapped on the helmet, knowing if he didn't wear it, luck would be on the worst half and he'd die; or even worse, North would catch him.

Jack sat behind him, instantly curling up to the boy as he let out a sigh. Hiccup smiled softly before turning around (Carefully on the grass) And taking off towards the city.

The familiar smell made Jack open his eyes questioningly. Usually their dates consisted of closed off areas, less public. Many people were still roaming the streets, and Jack tightened his grip with a frown. He hoped this wasn't something because Hiccup felt bad.

He didn't want to go in public if it meant helping Hiccup. He didn't want the same thing to happen to Hiccup as it did him. When they pulled up, Jack couldn't up but smile. Sure, it was public-y, but at least it was dark, and no one could be seen.

It was the old movie theater, pretty run-down for such a small town, but they still managed. Hardly anyone went, due to piracy… Teenagers preferred going to the arcade or such, but Jack liked going to the theatre when he had enough money or North took him. He hadn't been in years though; so Jack felt that familiar bubble of warmth as his childishness was peaking.

Hiccup saw this as he got off the bike; a large childish smile on his face as he looked up at the sign. It was showing three movies currently; Frozen, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and Saving Mr Banks. Most of them were kids movies for obvious reasons, but Jack was happy nevertheless. Hiccup took Jack's hand once again and walked into the movie theatre. Hiccup stopped before the booth, turning to Jack with an affectionate smile.

Hiccup appreciated little moments like these; when Jack completely let go of his too-cocky-for-you personality. How his eyes would widen with interest and his eyes even seemed lighter, but Hiccup wasn't sure if it was possible. Jack's gaze finally settled on Hiccup's, biting his lip to try and hold his excitement.

"What are we going to see?" He blurted out a little too loud. Hiccup chuckled, taking Jack into a hug from behind as he shook his head. Why was Jack so adorable? His nerdiness, everything about him… His smile faltered though, at a sudden thought.

Both boy's were keeping secrets.

How was a relationship meant to last and be strong when secrets were kept? But that's what Hiccup was planning on changing. He wanted to confess… Before he finally asked the question. To be honest, Hiccup wanted to do that before asking him anyway, thus the reason as to why he hasn't asked him sooner.

Jack on the other hand just… expected Hiccup to ask him. He knew he was more than capable of asking him himself, but felt it was better Hiccup did it. He planned the dates, and was obviously the more masculine person of the pair. Sure, Jack wasn't feminine at all, but Hiccup was simply more masculine.

"Uh, we can see whatever you would like…" He said, shaking his head to throw the thoughts away, Jack also due to his thoughts. Jack looked at the posters once more.

"Though I would love to see Frozen, I want to see Saving Mr Banks… I seen The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and they showed all the good bits in the trailer." Jack frowned. Hiccup chuckled and nodded, taking Jack's hand as they walked up to the guy behind the counter. His dull expression showed just how long he worked here, and he didn't even blink when he saw two boys come up to him.

"Two for Saving Mr Banks please…" Hiccup said taking out his wallet. Jack already had his out however, instantly putting his money down.

"A popcorn and two large drink too, please." Jack flashed his silver-lined teeth, turning to Hiccup's gaze who had a mixture of shock and 'are you serious' The man took the money without another word, going to fetch what they ordered and asking what drinks. "Uh, Mountain Dew for me please." Jack smiled.

"Pepsi thanks." Hiccup said, gaze still narrowed on Jack who never faltered under the gaze. Little known to him, Hiccup was planning ways to get him back already. Jack took the popcorn and his drink, while Hiccup took his drink and the tickets. He gave the tickets to the woman at the doors before going in.

It was empty, which was assumed. Both boys ran up to the back, taking the middle of the back and settling in. Jack chuckled, looking over at Hiccup. Hiccup met his gaze with a questioning one. Jack simply shrugged, leaning over to put his head on Hiccup's arm.

"This is nice…" Jack spoke quietly, a content smile on his face as he let out a sigh. Hiccup bent down and kissed his head softly. Leaning his own head on Jack's, the advertisements started playing, one of the reasons this place manages to stay open. After that, the cinema went black, lights turning off.

Fingers found each others in front of the popcorn, but neither mentioned it as the movie started. Jack had always loved Disney movies- or any kids movies for that matter. He was a total kids movie geek and would watch one in a heart beat.

During the movie, Jack felt his eyes water. He bit his lip, leaning forward in his chair in hopes Hiccup wouldn't see. He felt bad for the old woman; even if she was a bitch.

Hiccup though, caught this straight away and let out a silent chuckle before bringing Jack closer, sitting him on his lap. He let Jack lay in his chest, curled up- Jack who now had bright red cheeks and hid in the boy's shirt.

The rest of the movie consisted of that; Hiccup not wanting to tear the boy away from the movie; because he seemed really into it; as if the crying didn't give it away.

At the end of the movie though, both boys continued to sit there; Jack however pushed himself up to smile at Hiccup, reddened eyes thankfully disappeared long ago. Hiccup chuckled and finally kissed the boy sweetly before pulling away.

"How did you like it?" Hiccup asked curiously, tilting his head slightly, a warm smile still evident on his face. Jack smiled happily.

"I loved it! I loved her, I loved Walt… It was actually better than I expected," He shrugged. Unfortunately, Walter Mitty kind of made him think twice about the movies; much like when he goes to see any movie that looked good in the trailer which actually wasn't. Hiccup chuckled softly and kissed him again.

"Did you want to head out now?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. Jack shrugged and nodded, getting off the other boys lap and taking his rubbish. Hiccup took his and they made their way out of the theater, throwing out their things as they did so. Going to the motorcycle and doing the same routine, Jack got onto the back and Hiccup drove off.

He wasn't really surprised he wasn't going back home yet; the boy seemed to like stretching their dates out for as long as he could without alarming either of their parents. As Hiccup kept driving, Jack simply continued to snuggle further into him, letting out a sigh as he did so. It was kind of silly how different the two were, yet seemed to be totally content with being with each other.

Pulling up, Jack opened his eyes to find the familiar beach. Looking over at Hiccup who had gotten off the bike, he gave a soft smile. Jack got off the bike, the same smile on his face as he took off the helmet before walking with Hiccup over to the small cliff. Hiccup swung his legs over the edge, while Jack simply crossed his and leaned back with a smile.

The stars had always calmed him.

Hiccup frowned for a moment before finally breaking the silence. "Jack… I wanted to talk to you about lunch-" He was cut off by Jack shaking his head.

"Hiccup, I told you, I was just overthinking it okay? You should know I do that a lot." He chuckled softly, looking over at Hiccup slowly. Hiccup had a face; he was obviously not having at Jack's explanation.

"No Jack, because I do want to ask you…" He looked over at Jack. "But the thing is, we're both keeping things from each other… And we can't have a strong relationship with so many secrets…" Jack stared at him for a while, fingers starting to fiddle with each other.

"I… I was going to tell you, but we never really had time…" He admitted quietly. Hiccup smiled softly, coming closer to Jack to lie a hand on his knee. Eyes connected, and Jack couldn't help but also smile slightly.

"Which is why I brought you here, so we can both talk about it…" He spoke quietly, a smile on his lips. He brought Jack onto his lap and began to play with his hair. "Did you want me to go first?" he asked softly, not wanting to pressure the boy in going first. But Jack simply shook his head, wanting to get off his chest what he had been keeping from him; about his sister.

"My sister… She died." He looked up at Hiccup with wide, sad eyes.

"And it was my fault."
