Okay before y'all kill me for not updating since November which I know is awful I've been working on my other stories as some of you might know. So this is the next chapter and sort of just a fill in before Bad Wolf where things get a little crazy!

"Why? Does King Henry VIII think you were having an affair with Anne Boleyn?" I asked Jack as we ran back into the TARDIS, having out run the kings men. Dad quickly flicked some switches and the TARDIS whirred letting us know she was moving.

"How the hell should I know?" Jack asked. "All I did was talk to her,"

"There's the answer then," Rose said with a grin.

"Ali. Your choice now. Where to next?" Dad asked. It'd been his idea to go to Henry VIII. Jack decided on New Earth's California. Now it was my turn.

"Erm...Shopping!" I said brightly. "Intergalactic shopping centre!"

Dad and Jack groaned while Rose shared my bright, excited grin.

"Shopping? Really Lex?" Jack asked.

"Yes. C'mon Jack it'll be fun." I said "They have some amazing bars and clubs," I added. Making a sly grin cross his face.

"Shopping it is," He grinned. Dad rolled his eyes and flicked a switch making us land with a jolt.

I grinned and grabbed Jack's hand pulling him from the TARDIS.

"Ali wait!" Dad yelled, and I sighed turning around tapping my foot impatiently. He and Rose quickly caught up and dug around in his pockets. Pulling out four credit cards he zapped them with his sonic screwdriver. Giving one to each of us.

"Right. These are all unlimited. We'll meet back here at 1-"

"But dad. That only gives us two hours," I protested.

"Don't go all whining. You sound like your fifty," He said. I glared at him and he sighed "Fine we'll meet back here at 4. Don't let anyone else in the TARDIS," he gave a pointed look to Jack. "Don't buy the entire centre," he looked pointedly at Rose. "And don't get in any fights," He looked sternly at me.

I gave him an innocent look. "What me?"

"That really doesn't suit you," He said and I did the mature thing and stuck my tongue out at him. Dad rolled his eyes at me.

"Fine. Can we go now?" I asked.

"Go on then. Off you go," Dad sighed. I grabbed Rose's hand and ran across the centre. "And stay together!" his voice yelled after us.

Me and Rose ran in and out of different shops, buying several bags of different things. Clothes, artefacts and other little bits and pieces

"It's 3.30," Rose said as we walked out of a clothes shop.

"We should start heading back. If we get back before dad maybe he'll start trusting me," I said rolling my eyes. We walked back to the TARDIS stopping in half a dozen shops on the way there. I unlocked the door and we dumped our bags in the control room before walking outside again just as Jack and dad came walking this way.

"Wow your early," dad said sounding genuinely surprised.

"No need to sound so surprised," I muttered making him shoot me a cautious look.

"Anyone fancy a drink?" He asked.

"I'm cold I want a hot drink," Rose said and dad agreed. I looked at Jack and he shared my smirk.

"I'm going to show Jack the bar on floor three," I said. Dad narrowed his eyes and I could feel him poking around in my mind and I glared at him putting a barrier up.

"Alright," He agreed.

"We'll call when we're done," I said taking Jack's hand. Dad yelled something at us as we walked away but I wasn't listening. I adjusted our hands so are fingers were intertwined.

"The bar on floor three isn't it a little...slow?" Jack said.

"We can always go to the one in the basement," I suggested. He grinned and we jogged down the stairs to a bar that was more like a club. With several different species, loud music and amazing drinks!" We walked over to the bar, weaving through the crowd I slid onto the bar stool.

"What can I get you?" The barman asked. He was a form of Jadoon, just clearly not working for the shadow proclamation.

"Double Vodka and lemonade, planet of origin Earth," I replied and looked to Jack.

"Whiskey, from Earth," He said. I went to hand over my card but Jack beat me to it.

The Jadoon barman got our drinks and scanned Jack's card.

I held up my glass, clinking it to the side of Jack's.

"So what's up with you and your dad?" He asked. I glared at an Adipose that wobbled across the bar.

"Nothing," I muttered darkly. Jack raised his eyebrows seeing right through my lie. "He keeps poking around in my mind. He knows I'm hiding something from him,"

"We're going to have to tell him sooner or later. It's been months since Cardiff," He said. I knew I should have told him by now but I knew dad got way to protective. I shuddered thinking back to Casanova.

"If we tell him then he's going to kick you out gods know where and get pissed off at me!" I said frustrated taking along drink.

"Alright. We'll wait. We're just going to have to be more careful inside the TARDIS," He smirked before leaning down and capturing my lips gently. The gentleness didn't last long and I struggled to pull away.

"We'll continue this later," I muttered against his lips making him pout slightly. After a couple more drinks we were barley sober we left the bar. Walking back through the shopping centre Jack's arm around my shoulders.

I pulled my phone out and sent a text:

We are on our way back to the TARDIS!

It beeped seconds later:

How drunk are you?
D

I replied instantly.

Me drunk? I'm hurt you even think such a thing Daddy!

He didn't reply so I stowed my phone away and we walked back up stairs and I unlocked the TARDIS to see dad and Rose both in the console room. Rose sitting on the railings with dad sitting in the pilots chair. He looked over at me and frowned. I knew with his enhanced senses he knew exactly how much I'd had to drink and he wasn't particularly happy about it.

"What? I'm still perfectly sober and am home pretty early!" I said.

"A word in private," He snapped before walking out of the room.

I glanced between Rose and Jack slightly nervously before following him. I walked down the corridor that he went down and grimaced. I hadn't been down here in ages. My school and play rooms were down here as well as my mum's old study and dad's current study. A blue light shone around the door to dad's study as the TARDIS showed me where he was. I walked down the corridor and knocked on the door.

"Yes," He snapped. He was stood behind the desk leaning against the back wall looking annoyed. I shut the door softly behind me and stood infront of his desk staring at him. He held me stare and I looked down closing my eyes tightly, I could never out stare him. In many species it was a Dominance thing. It showed who had higher authority. Dad held the highest authority around here. The only person that could probably out stare him was Rose.

"What's going on?" He asked, mixed with the anger his voice showed concern yet I didn't look away from the floor.

"Nothing," I mumbled. The barrier in my mind as strong as it could go.

"Don't lie to me Alexandra!" He snapped. "Your acting like your fifty again. I thought we passed all of this near 200 years ago! Your whining and snapping and are lying through your teeth to me and I don't appreciate it much!" He walked round the desk and put one of his hands on the side of my neck. I knew instantly what he was doing and tried to pull away but he grabbed the top of my arm to stop me moving. I felt the barrier in my mind crumble and he looked through most of my memories from the past couple of months. He saw everything that happened between me and Jack. I tried to fight him only exhausting myself. He pulled once he reached the kiss in Cardiff. Once he let go. I struggled to stay on my feet as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"What the hell were you thinking? Jack Harkness?" He yelled. "All your going to do is get yourself hurt not to mention your about two hundred years older than him!" More tears rolled down my cheeks as he yelled. My hair fell down infront of my face as I lowered my head even more. Blocking sight to my face.

"Four months!" He shouted. I didn't say anything. "Look at me Alexandra," He said. I refused to move my head though. "Alexiasvanta," shouted his hand slamming down on the desk making me jump. I looked up with wide eyes. He never used my real name. No Time Lords used each others real names unless it was special circumstances, because we couldn't risk anyone but our race knowing them. Now I knew I was in trouble.

"Explain. Now!" He snapped. He sat down behind the desk and gave me a hard look.

"I really like him. What else is there to explain?" I asked weakly.

"Why did you not tell me? Did you really think this wouldn't come out?" He asked.

"No. I just knew you'd over react," I said.

"Over react? This isn't over reacting this is protecting you!" He said.

"You always taught me that we have to make our own mistakes as long as we accept the consequences and take the punishment later on!" I said.

"Yes but not over something like this. He can't stay here now," Dad stood up and moved towards the door but I got there first standing between him and the door.

"NO!" I yelled.

"Don't raise your voice at me!" He snapped.
"If you kick Jack out I will NEVER forgive you," I said. It was true I wouldn't.

"Yes you would. You'd get over it pretty quick," He said. He went to push me away but I held my ground.

"I won't. If you kick Jack out then I'll go with him. You kick Jack out and you kick me out to," I said. Tears streaming down my cheeks. I wiped them away but more fell. Dad looked at me trying to decide if I was lying but he knew I wasn't. He let a low growl and turned around. He leant on the desk and was breathing deeply.

"Fine," He muttered.

"I-I'm sorry, what?" I asked unsure of if I heard him correctly.

"Fine. He can stay. But when he cheats you or hurts you. Don't come crying to me," He snapped.

"Thank you," I said. My voice cracking.

He turned back to face me and looked at me sadly.

"I'm just worried about you," He said brushing my hair away from my face. I gave him a small watery smile.

"I'm sorry," I muttered.

"I know," He replied. I threw my arms around his neck and buried my face into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I cried into his shoulder.

"I love you, Daddy," I murmured quietly in Gallifreyan.

"I love you too, sweetheart," He replied in our language. He pulled away his hands firmly on my shoulders. "Promise me you won't keep anything like this from me again," He said sternly.

"I promise," I nodded. He sighed hugging me again. We stayed stood there for what must have been half an hour just me crying into my dad's shoulder. When I finally pulled away he wiped my eyes with his thumb and kissed the top of my head.

"C'mon. I'm hungry and I bet Rose and Jack are too," He said. I grinned taking his hand we walked through the TARDIS corridor and dad pushed open the kitchen door. Rose was looking through the cupboards for something while Jack leant against the wall. He saw my red eyes and stood up straighter. Dad squeezed my hand nodding once and I grinned.

"He knows," I said quietly and Jack looked momentarily confused.

"You mean about us?" He asked and I nodded. He grinned. I let go of my dad's hand and hugged Jack tightly.

"I feel like I'm missing something here," Rose said loudly interrupting us.

"I've been er, seeing Jack," I said and she grinned,

"I knew it!" She whooped. We all looked at her in shock and she smirked. "What?" She asked.

"How did you know?" Dad asked.

"The lovey looks, winks and smirks," she shrugged. I gaped at her smirk. She noticed something dad didn't. Then she glared at us. "But next time tell me," She said. I nodded.

"You'll be the second to know. I promise," I agreed glancing at dad. "And you'll be the first,"

I made everyone pizza and we sat around in the lounge with Harry Potter on the TV like a normal family. Me in Jack's arms next to dad who had Rose leaning on his shoulder. Well it seemed pretty normal until a bright white light seeped out of the walls surrounding us. I screamed for dad and Jack and could vaguely hear there own shouts but everything went black...
