"Jedite, seriously, I have to go to school," Raye giggled trying to twist out of her boyfriends arms.

Jedite just grinned, all summer they had been together. Most of the time with the others but at night he would sneak to the temple as soon as grandpa was asleep and hold her till morning.

Raye relaxed for a moment, she had managed to get showered and ready before Jedite woke up.

"I suppose I better get ready for uni," he sighed still unwilling to let her go.

Half an hour later Raye rushed to her seat just as the bell rang. She sat up straight and couldn't keep the smile from her face.

The others in her class whispered shocked comments and speculated over her miraculous change over the summer. Raye ignored it all.

Raye was much more involved through the day, she ate lunch in the lunch hall like everyone else chatted happily to the few people in school that ever noticed her and even said hello to others that didn't all while still smiling brightly.

"You know, I was right last year that Raye girl is hot, better when she smiles though, makes her look exotic," Jessie commented as the group watched Raye laugh while talking to another girl.

"She's a weird witch, always has been, always will be," Samantha said angrily.

"Jessie has got a point, She may have been a little strange last year but she seems much more confidant this year," Justin commented.

"Do you like think she like cast a like voodoo spell to like make herself like more attractive," Candy giggled.

"Come on guys, just cause she is sensitive to certain things doesn't make her weird. Besides if she were that strange don't you think she would have cursed us all years ago," Justin said not expecting an answer.

Samantha growled. The boys were so caught up with Raye's new persona they were actually sticking up the the freak show. Taking Candy's hand she pulled her away from the guys and into the school.

"That freak is not going to upstage me, I'm the hottest girl in school and she has every guy around her fascinated," she grumbled.

By the end of the day Raye had become very popular she joined several clubs and was even asked to do a few tarot readings.

"Think your so hot, don't you freak," Samantha said loudly as Raye stepped out of the gates.

She turned to look at her eyebrow raised. Samantha grinned before holding up a hand full of eggs.

"Your nothing but a low life, unloved wannabe freak," she sneered pelting her eggs at Raye.

Everyone turned to watch as Raye simply stepped in every direction making the eggs miss her. Samantha was breathing heavily one egg still clutched in her hand as she realised Raye was just standing there completely clean with broken egg around her.

"Oh my god who's that guy he's so dreamy," random girls sighed there attention now drawn to the tall blonde guy walking towards them.

Raye smiled happily feeling Jedite without seeing him. She stepped over the puddles of egg goo surrounding her and walked up to Samantha still smiling.

"How did you?" Samantha started to ask.

Her aim had always been perfect she was captain of the archery and shot-put team and had never missed her mark.

Raye laughed taking the egg Samantha had clutched in her hand she smashed I all over the girls fiery red hair.

"Freaky psychic chic remember," she stage whispered to the fuming girl as she walked towards Jedite.

"Hey gorgeous you ready?what's up with that chick? he asked swiftly moving past the girls who had been brave enough to try to talk to him.

Raye looked back at Samantha, turning in Jedite's arms as she did so. She couldn't help but grin at the girl with egg covering her hair and face.

"She's no one important lets go," she said loudly allowing Jedite to lead her away.

They got to the arcade to find the girls and guys waiting for them. Two tables and seats had been moved to accommodate the group with seats saved for them.

"I've just had the best day in school," she said happily sitting with Jedite.

"I think were all having good days, Amy joined swimming club, Mina made captain of the volleyball team and I've been smiling so much people forgot to be scared of me. Oh not to mention miss k's face when Serena got a 98 on her pop quiz," Lita laughed.

"A 98?" Raye asked still a little shocked at the new princess Serena they were all getting to know again.

"Who's miss k?" Darien asked at the same time.

"She's our old home-room teacher, last year she said I would always be a dumb blonde and never amount to anything her face when I passed was amusing, Yes Raye a 98 I missed the last question though," Serena answered.

"So the dumb blonde thing was really all an act?" Raye asked.

"Raye, Serena and Darien both explained she had to act like that and why," Amy said exasperated.

"I know I guess it just takes some getting used to. On the up side you are a really good actress Serena," Raye said as the group laughed.

Serena sighed leaning back against Darien allowing her empty milkshake glass to drop onto the table softly.

'It's a shame this can't last' she thought a little sadly looking towards the clear blue sky.

Darien looked at her confused before tuning himself into her feelings.

'Another one so soon?' he asked silently sensing what she was.

'You sense it also. There is so much darkness surrounding it, the light of the moon is barely able to shine past. So close," she frowned.

"Guys wanna tell us what has you looking so serious?" Lita asked.

Serena smiled once again appearing worry free.

"Nothing to worry about for now," she said.

'Whatever is coming won't be here till tonight lets worry about it tomorrow, have one last day at peace,' she thought.

Darien smiled down at her leaning in for a quick kiss to confirm he agreed with her.

"Lets all go to the park, its such a beautiful day," Serena said seemingly suddenly but wanting to spend some normal time with her friends.

The group agreed standing and heading towards the doors of the arcade.

They chose a spot by the lake allowing the sunlight to warm them as the laughed and chatted. Finally the sun started to set and the girls and guys made their ways home.

It was just past midnight the crash woke the scouts and guards each one rushed out of their house's towards the sight which had gathered a lot of spectators. The group met at the crater with looks of worry.

"Do you think it was a meteor?" Mina asked almost hopefully.

"No whatever it was left behind some serious dark energy," Raye frowned.

Serena looked up towards Darien sadly.

"I guess our normal lives are over," she said sadly.

The girls all frowned sadly breaking their men's hearts as they hated seeing that look on there loves faces.

"Well, if they are we can at least enjoy some butt kicking together," Jedite said lightening the mood and causing the group to laugh.

"Whatever it is its gone, I guess we have to wait till it shows itself," Darien said.

The next morning Serena was once again up before her alarm. Her parents were still in a bit of shock at their daughters new routine as she ate breakfast with them.

"Well, I gotta jet, don't wanna be late for school," she said to her silent parent who nodded simultaneously.

"Hey klutzoid you almost forgot your book-bag," Sammy grinned holding her black case.

"Arg give that here creep and don't call me that," Serena said grabbing her bag and stomping toward the door.

"Your welcome," Sammy shouted after her.

"Ooh, who thought up the idea of little brothers anyway," Serena muttered as she walked to school.

She slowed as she passed by the crash sight sensing Darien who almost walked past her, his nose stuck in a book.

"Hey handsome, that must be some book, what's a girl gotta do around here to get some attention?" she said making him jump.

"Oh I have a few ideas," he answered with a grin turning to face her.

Serena blushed as she saw exactly what ideas he had running through his mind. Her eyes lit up as he pulled her towards him for a deep kiss.

"Darien, you have a very naughty mind but as much as I enjoyed that, school," Serena frowned twisting out of his arms.

He sighed letting her go sneaking another kiss as he did.

"I'm a hot blooded male with an incredibly gorgeous and sexy girlfriend who can blame my mind. I finished a bit late today, meet me at the arcade? He asked.

"Sounds good," she answered with yet another blush.

"Love you," they both said at the same time before parting.

"Boys and girls, I'd like you to welcome two new students, who have just transferred to our school. Alan and Anne Granger there brother and sister Alan is in grade 10 and Anne is in grade 9. I hope you will all make them feel welcome."

"Yes Miss Haruna," the school chorused together.

"What a hunky guy," Molly sighed with hearts in her eyes.

Serena studied the two new students carefully. Nothing about them seemed evil but she was wary what were the chances of two new students starting right after a dark energy crash.

"He's cute, nice hair I suppose but he's no where near as dreamy as Darien," she smiled answering Molly.

"Dreamy, seamy but they look pretty smart maybe they'll join the dissection club," Melvin said causing the two girls to look at him angrily.

"Dissect yourself Melvin," the said before going back to waiting the new students. Serena with suspicion and Molly with awe.

Anne was in there first class and already quite popular as the girls asked her questions about her life in France.

Serena was among them trying to get a read on the new girl. She couldn't sense any dark energy around her and frowned putting there arrival down to coincidence for the time being.

Suddenly a tune started playing causing everyone to go silent.

"What lovely music," Molly commented as they went to find the haunting flute melody.

"Yeah its beautiful and so romantic," Serena sighed as Molly looked on with hearts in her eyes.

She gasped suddenly feeling a spike in dark energy around her but no fixed point. Looking around she caught the eye of Alan who gasped before walking over to her.

"She's so lovely, I've never felt this way in my entire life, who are you?" he asked standing in front of Molly and herself.

"Are you talking to me?" molly asked a little hopefully.

Melvin jumped in front of her and declared her his but Alan wasn't paying attention fixated on Serena.

"Allow me to introduce myself, my beloved. My name is Alan," he said leaning towards her in a bow.

Serena squeaked backing away slightly. Alan straightened before looking her in the eye.

"Your beauty radiates like a scent from a rose please say I can play for you?" he said softly.

"That's very sweet of you but I have," Serena started to say gently before she felt another spike in dark energy converging around herself and Alan.

"Who are you playing for Alan?" Anne said appearing out of no where and making Alan's eyes jump to her.

"Well no-one," Alan said before turning and striding away from the angry girl.

"huh!" Serena exclaimed watching Anne look at her as she turned.

"So strange I felt the dark energy, I know I did but it just vanished so quickly," she mumbled under her breath.

It wasn't till after school Anne had the chance to confront Alan. As she was about to he started talking.

"I don't believe you, you've got to learn to control your jealousy Anne. You could've ruined everything," he said sternly not looking at her but at the wall they were walking by.

"Your the one that's out of control," she said back looking towards the road.

"I know how you feel Anne but were supposed to be brother and sister you can't forget that," he said with an edge to his voice.

Anne turned to look at him affronted.

"You really like silly humans I'd never stoop so low," she said angrily before looking up and gasping as she saw Darien walking towards them nose in a book again.

'What a babe. I've never seen anything that handsome in all the universe," she thought before turning to follow Darien as Alan started saying something.

Alan finished his speech to find Anne gone turning he started to follow her path.

'He's perfect. Completely perfect," Anne thought watching Darien.

Suddenly he dropped his books. Seeing her chance she started towards him to help but was stopped as a sudden pain hit her and she collapsed against a post.

Darien oblivious, picked up his books and started walking again heading towards the arcade.

"Oh no Anne!" Alan said as he found her.

Darien walked into the arcade to find Serena waiting the the counter.

"Where is everyone?" he asked her pecking her lips with a smile.

"They're spending time together, Mina and Mal are shopping, Lita and Nephrite are cooking. Raye is doing Jedites cards and I think Amy said something about the library," she answered with a smile.

"Great idea, how about we swing by the pizza place get a takeaway and watch a film at my place?" he asked.

"Sounds like a perfect evening," Serena smiled taking his hand.

"So they started today, which I thought was suspicious at first but I couldn't sense anything evil about them so I put it down to coincidence. It was strange though I felt two spikes of dark energy around the school but I just couldn't get a read on it. One of the times Alan, that's the new guy was playing his flute. He's a really good player, the music was lovely. Anyway I'm getting off track right so he was playing and suddenly he came over to me and said I was lovely and he wanted to play for me. I started to tell him I was spoken for but I felt that dark energy again and then Anne, his sister appeared out of nowhere and he left. I didn't really think much about it until Molly just rang and said the whole school is talking about how this guy has the hots for me. I promise I'll let him down gently tomorrow," Serena explained after Darien hearing her mobile conversation with molly.

"Its ok, really Serena I expect other guys to be attracted to you. I guess since we have been together so long it just surprised me that someone didn't know you were taken. Since this guy is new I guess its only natural," Darien said puling her close.

Serena blushed. She had never really noticed other guys reaction to her and it was sort of flattering to have the attention. As Darien pointed out she was attractive she smiled shyly. It wasn't that he thought she was gorgeous she knew that it was that he expected other guys to find her gorgeous too. To her it didn't really matter there was only one guy she ever wanted to want her and he was already hers.
