Officer Lance sat opposite Oliver in the interrogation room, glaring angrily. "Mr. Queen, it would be better if you told me what happened. If Edward Andrews dies, it will go badly for you. I don't think the jury will be as lenient with you as they were with your mother."

Oliver held Lance's stare. "If he dies, it's the best that can happen to him."

Lance jumped up from this chair. "Damn it, what happened?" Oliver remained silent.

The door of the interrogation room opened and a cop looked in, addressing Laurel's father. "Officer Lance, a Ms. Smoak would like to speak with you. It's about the case."

"The CEO raised his head and looked at the two cops.

"Send her in", Lance said.

Visibly nervous, Felicity entered the small room. She looked at Oliver and he gave her a sign that he was okay.

"Ms. Smoak, maybe you can shed some light on this matter. Mr. Queen is not really cooperative."

"Officer Lance, you have to let Oliver go, it's all my fault." The IT girl began to tremble. Oliver placed his hand on hers.

Lance watched the two of them like a hawk. "I'd like to, but if Mr. Andrews decides to press charges, things are not looking good and since Mr. Queen refuses to make a state ment, there's absolutely nothing I can do."

Felicity closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Megan Miller."

Lance looked at her, astonished. "What?"

"My name isn't Felicity Smoak, my real name is Megan Miller. You have a file on me here. Edward Andrews is my stepfather."

Oliver looked at her. "Felicity, you don't have to do this."

"Yes, I do."

Lance got up and left the room. Oliver leaned over to her. "They'll tear you apart in court if it comes to a trial."

" I know." Felicity tried to smile. "Oliver, I won't let you go to prison for me."

Oliver had no chance to reply as Lance returned with an open file in his hand.

"Ms. Smoak, I have taken a look at the file; it puts the situation in a different light and I guess in this case I have to apologize." He looked in Oliver's direction. " I'd have done the same. But anyway, I got a call from the hospital, Edward Andrews is awake and he intends to press charges for assault and battery."

Felicity looked at the cop with tears running down her face.

"I'm sorry, but I need proof that he harassed you again, otherwise there's nothing I can do. You have to give me something."

"I don't have anything. He sent me letters and text messages, but I deleted or destroyed them."

"In that case I can only advise you to get a good lawyer, but that shouldn't be a problem," he glanced in Oliver's direction again. "I'll see that you can be released on bail until the trial, but that's all I can do for now. We can only hope that he'll try to contact you again, Ms. Smoak. I'm sorry."

"Thanks."

"Mr. Queen, I may not be your biggest fan, but I hope this will end well for you. I'll get the paperwork ready." Lance looked at Felicity. "Ms. Smoak, would you come with me, pleases?" The blonde wiped the tears off her face and rose. Together they left the room.

"Felicity", Lance said, keeping his voice low," you know I think highly of you and I'm sorry you had to go through all of this, but I have to be honest – it doesn't look good. Maybe you should ask our mutual friend for help."

Felicity nodded silently and gave the cop a forced smile. How could she ask the Arrow for help when he was the one in trouble…

An hour later Oliver had been released on bail of 250,000 dollars. The reporters were already waiting for them outside the police station and the three friends had trouble reaching their car.

"Dig, drop me off at Verdant. I have to talk to Thea, I'm sure she has followed the news. Then you can take Felicity to the mansion", Oliver instructed his friend and bodyguard. Diggle nodded and steered the Bentley in the direction of the club.

Oliver entered the club and was immediately greeted by his anxious little sister. "Oliver, what happened, why did you hit that guy?"

"Thea, everything's okay, I had my reasons, believe me", Oliver said, hugging his sister.

"Reasons? Must have been very good ones, the news said you almost killed him and told him that he wouldn't leave the city alive."

Oliver pulled a face. "Thea, they were very good reasons, believe me."

"Ollie, you won't get out of here before I know what happened and why!"

Oliver drew in a sharp breath. "Okay, but you are not going to tell anyone about this."

The younger Queen nodded and Oliver sat at the bar with her.

Diggle started the car.

"Dig, I want you to take me to the hospital to see my stepfather."

John Diggle looked into the rear mirror, his eyes narrowing. "Felicity, I don't think that's a good idea."

The personal assistant leaned forward and placed her hand on Diggle's shoulder. "John, we have to help Oliver. I have to help Oliver. He has done so much for me and…", she took a deep breath, "I need him, I mean, we need him. As Arrow and as our boss." She fell silent and Diggle had to grin. She was obviously in love.

He drove to Starling City Hospital, but before Felicity could get out of the car, he turned around to her. "Felicity, I'm only doing this because I know how much Oliver means to you. I know he's going to kill me for bringing you here. I don't like the thought of sending you into the lion's den, you just started to get back on your feet again."

She lowered her eyes, unsure herself how she would react to seeing her stepfather. It had all been a little too much in the last few weeks, but she had to do this, for Oliver. She opened the door of the Bentley and John Diggle followed her protectively.
