A/N - I had no idea going in what this would actually turn out to be. I did not know how Lucy would even hurt her leg in a way to limp. The prompt said Limp, so I started with the best way I could: With Lucy in Natsu's arms!
Children's Day
By Genavere
"You can put me down, Natsu!" Lucy fumed at her partner and crossed her arms. With her head turned away from him in a pout, the glance he took at her raised breasts from the movement had been missed. A good thing for him with her current mood.
"Yeah? Can you say you won't be limpin' around like you were at the guild?" An overwhelming urge to smack the smirk off his handsome face filled her. It did not matter if they were best friends, lovers, or teammates, the fact that he carried her out of the guild had embarrassed her.
And, granted, it had not been anything worth being embarrassed about. Not like the few times he had slung her over his shoulder and dashed out through the main doors to the cheers and catcalls following them. No, this time had been a simple accident that left her with a swollen ankle, bruised knee, and a guild full of crying children.
Due to all the events that had happened through the year, Fairy Tail had missed several years of celebrations in Magnolia. The Fantasia parade and Cherry Blossom Festival were just some of those they put on and helped organize. So, in his ever-aging wisdom, Master Makarov decided to throw a children's day celebration at the guild hall.
With the most renown alcoholic and rowdy wizards in the kingdom.
To say it was set for disaster would be putting it nicely.
Children found hanging around the wizards known to destroy things fascinating and sought to mimic their favorites. And because they were big children themselves, Gray and Natsu started a massive brawl that made its way to the children, too, even after Erza tried to settle things down.
Lucy and Levy had been coming up from the library with a group of kids, Levy in front and Lucy taking up the rear to make sure no one strayed and got lost. When they reached the top landing, they found total mayhem.
Gajeel had scooped Levy up and demanded iron from her. The kids they had been watching squealed in delight and ran to join the fun. Lucy had just finished climbing as she barely dodged a table that went flying by.
She surveyed everything and groaned. Nothing could ever go right when they tried to do something, it seemed. Fire spewed from the pile of bodies fighting, so she could easily pick out Natsu. Another group of children surrounded Cana as she showed them how to chug a barrel of ale—she really hoped they were drinking soda. Mira cheered on the sidelines, giving out more candy to wizards and children alike who asked her for some.
Spotting the fire again, the chaos made her wonder if children would ever be something they would be ready for. With her partner being a man-child, himself. Sighing, she moved to a less crowded area of the hall in hopes to stay away from the crowd of fighting adults and children.
Her mind wondered to the adorable features of Nashi back on Edo and if their own children would look like that. With parents who both held rare magic, it would be something if their children took after them. A smile graced her lips. Even if he acted like a child, she knew Natsu would be a great father one day.
Unfortunately for Lucy, the one lesson she had yet to learn about having multiple children around and not paying attention to them became a painful one. Between two of the pillars, giggles could be barely heard over the sound of yelling and breaking furniture. As she passed through them, the rope the two hellions had placed there grew taunt as they pulled their respective sides.
Try as she might, with arms flailing around, her left heel came down at an odd angle on the ground and twisted her foot around unnaturally. Then her right knee took the rest of the brunt force of the fall. Only after that, her hands were able to catch her to keep from face from following suit.
Laughter on either side of her filled the hall as an eerie silence took over the rest of it. Quickly, she pushed herself up to her feet, not wanting to cause a scene or have any young eyes get a look up her skirt, but she found herself giving a cry of pain the moment any pressure went on her left ankle.
Heated hands caught her mid-limp when she tried to get to a bench and she found herself in the arms of an extremely concerns and pissed off Natsu. His dark eyes snapped to the two kids who had been lying in wait for a victim.
Her own ears had burned after listening to the verbal lashing he gave them, refusing to accept that it had only been for fun. When neither of the kids agreed to apologize, Mira had stepped in and pushed Natsu away.
Whatever had been said as they left had started a chain reaction of children wailing loudly.
"When Wendy gets back from visiting Sherria," Natsu said, his voice pulling her back to look at him. "We'll have her take a look at your ankle. Until then, you get to deal with me!" His grin pulled at her heartstrings, and she could not help but blush.
Maybe it had not been so bad to be carried out of the guild by him, or to be in his arms. Looking at him through her lashes, she gave her own soft smile. "I'm going to need a lot of attention."
Onyx eyes narrowed. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah," she bit her lower lip. "I had wanted to shower and bath today."
Heat pooled in her stomach as she watched his grin turn into a sinister smirk. If anyone at the guild knew what this man could be capable of, they would not think of him the way they do. "Don'tcha worry, I'll make sure yer cleaned up good."
His muscles flexed under her as he lifted her closer, his lips caressed her ear as he spoke. "Inside and out."
Heat seared her face, her legs pressed tighter together against sopping panties. A thought of her belly swollen with their child made her bit her lower lip harder to push back a moan. Maybe they would never be ready for children, but they could sure as hell practice and see where it took them.
A/N - After reading this, you might think I don't like children. Mostly correct, they are not my favorite humans, but they are okay. I guess. But evil, too.
Hopefully this turned out all right, and flowed well.
Let me know what you think!
