Hello, everyone. After such a long silence, I still can't guarantee that I'm actually coming back. Honestly, I can't. Just wanted to say as a warning: I've changed a good portion of this story so it'd probably be easier to continue. So this is still nowhere near the main plot right now, unlike before. Also, in order to be understood, you're going to want to re-read chapters 4 and on. I have to review a lot of things like decks, and how to use the demon cards, etc. And I have to do it in this now non-existent concept of "free time". So I thought I'd post this message to let you know that. By the way, to everyone who has been patient and kept this story in mind, thank you. It doesn't seem like it, but I really appreciate it.

"Hey, Horus! Wake up! Come on, you're having a nightmare!" Randy yelled over someone's screaming. Horus felt a hand fall on his shoulder and shot upwards, throwing out an arm viciously. It connected with skin with a loud yelp.

When the haze faded from Horus' eyes, he noticed that Randy was on the ground next to his bed, rubbing his arm. That's when Horus realized what happened. "Oh jeez, man, I'm sorry. You okay?"

"Other than my arm turning into black and blue mush? Fine," Randy said sarcastically. Then his voice softened back to its normal tone. "What were you screaming about?"

"Screaming?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone on campus heard you."

"I don't remember..."

"I think you need to talk to someone, Horus. You've been acting weird for a while now, ever since you won that duel. Has something happened recently? Are you being threatened or something?"

"No, I really don't know what's wrong with me, Randy," Horus hissed in frustration. "Thanks for waking me up, but I think I'll go back to sleep now."

"Yeah sure," Randy said, climbing back up onto his bunk. "Oh, and Horus?"

"Yeah?"

"Never sleep punch me again."

"Sorry."

"So what were you hollering about last night?" Cady asked, yawning. "Kept me up all night again."

"I told you, I don't know."

"Well, whatever it is, I hope it doesn't come back. I can't handle too many more sleepless nights," Cady said.

"Gee, thanks," Horus replied. "Just so you know, it wasn't exactly restful for me either."

"Yeah, but you didn't have to listen to yourself scream all night. It was like an alarm clock I couldn't shut off until Randy woke you up." Horus shot her a glare. "Alright, sorry. But seriously, what's been going on?"

"I. Don't. Know."

"Maybe it's sudden onset of night terrors," Randy suggested.

"Look, can we get off this topic?" Horus cut in. "I just want to get to work."

"First time in a while," Cady pointed out. "Have you talked to Sadie about why she was acting so weird towards you?"

"Nope. Remember? Yesterday she just avoided me. So today I'm going to find out what's going on.

"Have fun, I think I'm gonna go take a nap," Cady groaned, reserve energy apparently drained. She flopped onto Horus' bed and started snoring.

"I wish I could say that, but I have an extra class to go to today. Come on, Cady, you know you have to go too." The small boy smacked at the sleeping girl who just rolled over. "Ah, whatever. I'll just set an alarm to go off in a few minutes."

"Alright, well, I gotta go. You sure you get up?" Horus asked.

"Yeah, so long as she doesn't punch me."

Horus just rolled his eyes and left for the card shop.
