I was just listening to this song when I had this image of Tadase and Amu walking side by side beneath the sun and tried to come up with something I could write about to match these few lyrics. I hope it makes sense and isn't too ooc. (Please let me know if it is- I may try and rewrite it if so.)
Enjoy ^^

"Y un día después de la tormenta,
Cuando menos piensas sale el sol"
- Sale el Sol, Shakira.
...
There were always ups and downs; always days where his mind was seemingly clouded with fog and haze.
Tadase wanted to be strong. He wanted to be kind and caring, yet he wanted to protect, to lead, to have some sense of order in his life. It was his goal, a desire of his - it was the very reason Kiseki still floated by his side to this very day. Kiseki was a leader - a King. He hoped he too could be similar someday.
But faith. He had to have faith.
And sometimes you just can't help but lack in confidence, you know?
It was the little things, those that made his self-esteem waver dangerously for a short while. Every lost fight with Easter's Black Cat, worrying when he would strike the Guardians next, the loss of the Dumpty Key, the demand to protect his friends, the declining health of his grandmother because he needed to become strong for her and how could he show her such will and strength when she wasn't around to see it?
She was the whole reason, really, that his 'would-be-self' came about. So personal and close to his heart, it was a wish he could not allow himself to leave unfulfilled. That was probably why he found himself so miserable every time he failed to meet what he thought his grandmother would expect from him.
So he'd shake it off and try to pick himself up. School worked wonders. Confidence in classes, confidence with friends, confidence in (regular) Guardian duties...
"Tadase-kun!"
Oh, and her.
"Amu-chan!" He'd beam and turn to face her and she'd be all rosy cheeks and stuttered sentences and he swore his heart would stop completely.
"Tadase-kun, walking home with me?"
Yes. Yes, of course he would, how could he ever say no?
"Of course, Amu-chan! Let me just get my bag."
Walking down the path beside the riverbed, Tadase and Amu chatted casually and enjoyed each other's company. He smiled politely, nodded, listened eagerly and laughed at her comments because, really, he felt like a completely different person when he was around her.
There he'd been at the start of the day, feeling flimsy and tired and as though the world didn't want a leader like him to guide his peoples' way... And then she'd smile at him. Talk to him. Laugh with him. She'd raise his spirits and with a flicker of her eyelids - oh and how beautifully those golden, shining eyes lit up his world - had him soaring through the clouds; grey and dark stormy skies gone and now bright and airy and clear as he flew with Amulet Heart at his side.
Amu strengthened his determination. He didn't know how she did it, but she did.
He could be stronger. He could.
The sun shone through her blossom-coloured hair and the image screamed innocence with her cherry smile and her new pink halo. Tadase thought it was quite fitting. He pushed the storm clouds away and cleared his head, his resolve ever stronger so long as she was at his side. After all, he wanted to protect his world.
He followed his precious world down the little pathway and revelled in the warm glow of the sun.
...
"And a day after the storm,
When you least expect it, the sun rises"
