Chapter 18 – Revel

"You are here to ask about something you encounter. Something new in you. Your abilities. Aren't you?" asked Gandalf

I nod my head. I am not surprised that he knew about it as he is a great wizard. Gandalf put down the cup of tea he was sipping. He looked at me and smile. We sat on the chair in the room.

"The elixir I gave you was just a medicine to avoid you from getting further injuries nut the abilities you had are something which you actually had not discover long ago. These abilities are hard to catch so I am not surprise that you only discover it now. Legolas, you are an Elven prince and the abilities you had are for you to care of your kin when you take over your father one day. You must not misused it. You had figure out the ability to talk to an animal which means you understand animal language. You can use this ability wisely. Its very helpful and not every Elven prince had this ability."

Father gave me a smile and asked Gandalf if he knew anything else about the abilities I had in me. He said that he could see me having difficulties controlling some. Gandalf gave father a smile. What other abilities I have? I had enough. Foresight, Hearing, Speaking with animals. These could help me more than enough.

"Ah, I forgot! Thoughts. The ability to read other people thoughts like Elrond. These might be a new ability in your kingdom for the elves of Mirkwood hardly revels their ability of thoughts. There were more for the elves of Rivendell and Lothlorien. Legolas might haave one." Said Gandalf with a smile

I was surprised. I knew that even my grandfather, Orpher did not have that ability. He was the elves of the first age. I had not meet him before. Father told me to make use of it. It would help me a lot. Thoughts? How could I read someone thoughts. It was just once when I read Aragon's mind. I did not told it to Father. It was getting late and we will be departing to the sea tomorrow. We got to have enough rest. Father told us to rest. I went to my room and lie on the bed while holding the charm my parents gave me. I looked out of the window. I held onto the branch next to the window and slide down to the practice fields with my weapons. I shot an arrow at the board. The sky was darker than I had expected. I hoped that tomorrow's journey will be good. I do not one to lead any of my companions into trouble. I shot another arrow and practiced my knives's skills. I do not prefer the sword. I heard someone walking towards me and threw my knives at the direction and turned. Father! He had caught the knife I threw.

"Nice throw, Legolas. There is something you are afraid to tell me. I could see it in your eyes. "

"How did you know?"

"I am your Father and I will know through your eyes not your thoughts. You should be resting."

"Father, I wanted to ask you something. Will you answer me."

"Yes,I will. Tell me, my son."
