Dreamcatcher loves her life right now. Well most of it. She still hates bullies, the cons and crazy flirts. She love rest of it though. But a new danger threatens to destroy it all. A monstrosity known as the Spark Stealer is on the loose. And not in the romantic sense. It wants the "Purest Spark." Only Dream can stop it. Does she have the spark to do it? Or will she fall?

AN: Hello everyone. Sorry for not updating but school has taken over my life and my laptop died. I had time to write something short and the plot bunnies bit me for this prologue. This is a story that involves my G1 OCs and is set in the present, not the future like in "A New Beginning." This story is a bit AU but not completely. I promise to update my ongoing fics soon. Hope you like the start of this one. :)

Prologue

Light and Darkness…

Most of us don't give these opposites a second thought, unless we are sensitive to light or have a fear of or a sense of uneasiness when it comes to the dark. It is easy to sense the opposites in their physical form. However we often don't think about them in the spiritual sense. The fact is, most all of us have both light and dark in our hearts. Most of the time the darkness is repressed and the light dominates. However in some horrid moments the darkness takes control and causes us to do bad and sometimes unthinkable things. That is why we must guard our hearts, for they determine the path of our lives. Then there are those certain people with certain hearts that retain the state all hearts begin as, pure, full of light and totally loving. They have learned to not only repress darkness, but expel it from their souls. Darkness cannot be repressed by force or strength. How do they do it? How does it happen? This is such a story that gives the answers to someone who had a pure heart and didn't even know it….

In the beginning of time, when only Primus and Unicron existed, they created two worlds before any others. One was Cybertron, a world of living metal and the birthplace of intelligent robots who could think and feel lived. The other was Earth, an organic world home to humans, magical beings and other creatures. Other worlds followed these. The whole universe was a happy place but Earth and Cybertron were the happiest places of all. Humans and robots lived in peace together and many happy centuries passed.

However Unicron, the personification of darkness grew restless. He began to prick the sparks and hearts of their creations with thoughts of darkness. Primus, the personification of light, began to better guard the rest of the living beings against it and the dark was fought down. Full of hate, Unicron created one of the worst monsters to ever exist. He called it the Spark Stealer. It took the sparks of robots and caged them away. His evil poisoned both worlds and chaos ruled all lands. Primus had no choice but to cast Unicron away into space and he sealed the Spark Stealer away into the darkest pit under the Earth. Both worlds were reborn and distanced away from each other, the memories of that time lost to all those still living. A new history started on both worlds. Life became what we know it to be. The Spark Stealer has been waiting for his chance to escape and enact revenge on the Universe. He wants to find the one with the "Purest Spark" and destroy them, for they are the only one who can defeat him. In the present era, such a spark exists, one so full of light, not the slightest touch of darkness. This spark and other good souls could be the foundation for another age of goodness.

And so our story begins…
